Georgie really stepped up when he found out he was gonna be a dad. He didn't think of running away or abandoning the girl he was dating or his own baby. He handled the situation much better than any 17 year old would!❤
True I just think it would have been better if, Sheldon helped Georgie get his GED, you know really show everyone he is trying and showing that Sheldon and Georgie can work together.
Georgie and Mandy were really the best and healthiest couple of the show. I'm looking forward to their series. Hopefully the rest of the cast will make an appearance or two on it, especially young Sheldon. Ian played his role so brilliantly...
That would have been AMAZING!!!! I would definetly Watch that, and it would be so fun if like Missy and Meemaw was there as well, and then a FEW times, VERY BRIEFLY, uncle Sheldon came❤

As far as I’m aware, the age of consent in Texas was (and still is) 17. No laws were broken, Mandy was in no position of authority over Georgie, and they both lied about their ages. It would seem that they, blinded by hormones, certainly gave mutual consent. The shocking part is the age difference of 12 years and the fact that he is essentially still a high school kid with zero resources. It’s an interesting plot line and was very well developed in the final seasons (the backstory to which is in TBBT). This was a twist on the teenage pregnancy trope and far more rare back in the day.
Regardless of the age of consent, and irrespective of the fact they both lied about their ages, she is not wrong about the tone of comments being completely different if the sexes are reversed.
This sitcom better not be a heartbreaker, and his first marriage, and second one better be them renewing their vows and having a legit wedding! 😭 they are great together and they better not hurt either of each other.

Technically in Texas 17 is the legal age of consent. However, it is a gray area as the parents can push for legal action if said 17 year old has "regrets"(this only happens when it is a 17 year old female)
Btw i just remembered she should be in jail for statutory rope. The best storyline of these two shows is the blossoming relationship between a ropist, her underaged victim and their ropechild. That’s messed up.
If I remember correctly, George Sr and Mary were getting intimate, and Mandy didn't want to be any closer to that than she already was, so, she peed in the sink in the garage.
This story line is the best part of the whole series
