Dylan I hope you are well. I have actually been wondering where you were and when an upload is coming. Not all the vids have to be college related if you don't want them too be lol.
Hey bro! Thanks for sticking by the channel! Been very busy with a cool presenting gig which has been keeping me busy busy & taking me out of the country! Yeh bro its true ive got some cool London related videos coming next!!
Huh? Imperial didn't massively rise up in the rankings. They always were ranked very highly. It's iust that you hadn't heard of it - they have become more well known over the years but not because it suddenly became good. If you look at the grades required to get in you'll see that Imperial's is higher than the vast majority of unis or even the acceptance rates and Imperial grads are the most common at eg Facebook lol. And quite often in national rankings it's been ranked top 3/4 but its student satisfaction drags it down (means nothing about academics)
The so called redbrick universities are among the most prestigious institutions in the UK and in the QS ranking with entry qualifications very similar to those for Oxford and Cambridge. The High Flyers' annual report by the 100 top employers in the UK places several redbrick universities above both Oxford and Cambridge graduates for the capabilities of their graduates. These are the Universities of Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Warwick, Nottingham and Sheffield. Along with Oxford & Cambridge, all the above universities are members of the UK's elite Russell Group of universities. They are all in the QS top hundred universities in the world (out of 27,000 universities globally) . Also, check out the QS world employment rankings for how sought after these graduates are by global employers. For example the University of Bristol is 55 in the world academic table but 49 in the QS employability rankings. The University of Leeds is 75 in the world academic rankings but 51 in the QS global employment rankings. These employment rankings are probably even more important than the academic rankings.
Hello Dylan…hope you are doing well… I received offers for MSc in Finance from Queen Mary and University of Sheffield. Which one do you think is a better pick for career prospects and employability?
Hey dylan, im persuing cs in uni of surrey this september, whats your opinion on university of surrey ,(ps i live in the same building complex as you 😉 barrier gate looks sick from the back gate right)
I mean it isn't. Can't speak for St Andrews here, but for what LSE specialises in (primarily investment banking), it tops every university in the world.
@@sinless4088 I mean I'm sure LSE is still good but Imperial College is different.... It's ranked amongst the best of the best (look at QS, US or Higher Education rankings). I've seen it and been told many times, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, BYN Mellon, Delloite first goes to Imperial then they go to Oxbridge for candidates. If you look up the highest salary after graduation, Imperial tops every uni in the UK. It literarly has a business school focusing on Investment Banking, Consultancy, etc. I mean the prestige is literaly in it's name "IMPERIAL"...
@@oliver9541 I've always thought of them both as 2 sides of a coin. I know a fair share about both unis as my brother graduated from Imperial a couple years ago, and I'm personally going into my third year at LSE. It's difficult to compare the two as they're on complete opposite ends of the spectrum in what they specialise in, Imperial, STEM, and LSE, the social sciences. Rankings don't help much here as unis like Kings and Manchester are ranked above LSE, which respectfully, is false. JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley targetting Imperial over Oxbridge, LSE and whatnot also is, respectfully, false. There's a general consensus that the target unis for IB are: Oxbridge, LSE, UCL, Warwick and Imperial. From that group, LSE and UCL have the greatest number of graduates entering bulge bracket investment banks.
@@sinless4088 In my opinion Kings and Machester are better than LSE. LSE is slightly better than Warwick - if not the same level. However I'm biased as an Imperial graduate so what do I know. 😂 Good luck with your third year. 👍🏻

That’s just not true, at least not in the near future. We’re several decades away from AI actually taking over most jobs, especially those of doctors, engineers, etc
As a Chinese A-level student, watching you tempting to pronounce Tsinghua is such a joy
Honestly this QS ranking caused so much chaos for Chinese students studying abroad and is one of the only indicators Chinese companies' HR look at
