Hi, i loved your video, i just came across your channel from watching your art series and i was wondering, i am currently in year 8 and because of lockdown i have a lot more time, so do you think starting a similar sketchbook to to ones you did at gcse, because i want to do a more complex one like that thats kind of above what im doing in art right now as i feel i am not doing enough is a good idea? I was thinking what if by the time i come to doing gcse sketch books i will of bored myself of doing them as im not a person to stick at things for a long period of time,what do you think would be best, please and thank you
Hi, thank you so much! I think it's a great idea to try and get ahead and practice your art! However I also think this lockdown should be about doing things you enjoy, so if its something you want to do then go for it! But if you think you might get bored then don't feel like there's pressure to because you still have plenty of time before you take gcse's. Maybe you could do a few pieces but if you start to not enjoy it then just do a bit less xx
Great video! I'm currently in first year env sci and I'm gutted we didn't get to go to Slapton but thankful I don't have the dynamic planet exam anymore aha! If you don't mind me asking, what modules did you choose in second year?

Awwh that's a shame about Slapton I know how you feel- I was supposed to be going to Spain in June for a module but that's been cancelled its so disappointing. ahaha yeah you're lucky you won't have to sit through that exam! I did climate change, geomorphology and meteorology in semester 1, and I'm currently doing social research skills, GIS (compulsory for me), and geographies of development x

Thanks for letting me know - it was difficult choosing but I've chosen largely ecology modules but geomorphology as well, whether I'll get to do all my choices I'm not sure because a couple of them clash in timetable slots, which is annoying but I'm hoping for the best aha! Lia...how are you?...I am Hrishika from India...I would be joining UEA this year....I would pursue geology with geography with a Year in Industry...I found your video to be extremely helpful....thank you so much for creating it...I had a query regarding the maths module....There are 3 options in the maths module.... quantitative skills I, quantitative skills II and mathematics for scientists A....which one is more preferred if I pursue geology later on?....which module is suited for students having done class 12 mathematics? It would be very kind of you if you could just answer these queries
Hi, thanks so much for watching my video! I was unsure which maths module to take as well. My understanding is that taking the quantitative II means you cannot take mathematics for scientists B in third year, but if you don’t think you’d be interested in taking that anyways then I would go for the quant II maths. Mathematics for scientists A is considerably more advance. If you have an equivalent to an A or A* in A level maths then I’m sure you would be fine with it, but if not I would suggest quant II. I’ll be explaining this in more detail in my next video too which is a Q&A as I’ve had someone ask the same question on my instagram! X

In second year the modules I took were: GIS, Climate change, Meteorology, Geomorphology, social science skills and Geographies of Development. I'm not really sure what I would like to do in the future yet! I'm just seeing how life goes ahaha! I am really interested in climate change though so I could see myself going down that route maybe. It would just be so kind of you if you could clarify some of the queries...First of all does the Sustainable development module have a week long field trip every year?.... Are there reading suggestions given after every lecture or is the reading list on evision the final one? Are both the formative assessment and summative assessment marked even though they don't count towards the final grade? Are the formative assessment questions given after every lecture or after completing a module? Usually how many formative and summative assessment did you have in the first year? I know that I have asked you too many questions....I am actually a bit curious since it will be my first year....it would be so so so helpful if you could clarify some of them.... thanking you in advance Lia😊😊
