I agree. While Hannah and Jeff had made us sad because we got to know them, we got to see Justin change for the better. And right when life is good, he tragically died.
Dan Mays right. And for me i relate to Justin and clay a lot because for clay i share some of his personality traits and with Justin, i struggled in high school the same way he did. Not with like drugs or anything, but just trying to get better and find the light at the end of the tunnel

If someone you loved tested positive for HIV and AIDs after working so hard to better themselves, and it caught up to them when it was too late to treat, I'm pretty sure you'd understand. That is why it made sense to let him pass away in the story. It's meant to make you hurt, it's meant to make you angry. GB Gaming I understand that. I know that it was meant to display a realistic ending. It’s meant to educate the viewers on how someone who isn’t treated when necessary can end up. but you don’t need to direct your anger at a comment saying that the show was upsetting. it appears you’re implying that i don’t have knowledge on the topic but you don’t know me or what I know. I am talking about how Justin was a victim in the show. he didn’t have parents to come home to like the rest of them. then when he got his family he was ripped from them. he got a slow painful death. while bryce who was privileged and a rapist died from drowning.
Anastacia Blask i know :/ and it’s important that they bring awareness to the topic! just sad they had to show it with Justin’s character, in my opinion.
Maddy YT i know it just sucks to see it played out. it’s like i understand it and i’m all for the awareness but i’m still sad about it. does that make sense?
They couldn't have chosen someone better to play Justin Foley. Brandon did such a wonderful job. The way he controls his emotions and acts with his eyes is amazing. I can't wait to see more from him.❤
“We see a- aw man” hearing him speak about Justin really hurts. He really cared about this role and was so invested in telling the story of this character. I expect to see him win an award for this role. The dynamic between Justin & Clay, Brandon & Dylan this season was phenomenal. Super JLK I’m sorry but did you forget the message of the show? everyone has different struggles and we should try to be understanding of them instead of comparing. Every victim regardless of what they suffer from deserves to be helped and loved. Justin cared for Hannah too
Mylan I agree with this, I still watch the show because I enjoy the drama and love Dylan’s acting but after Season 1 and some parts of Season 2. The show did just get unrealistic and became just a drama series. Not something to raise awareness
Justin turned his whole life around and had so much going for him. I feel like things started to fall apart when his mom passed away. His character development was second to none on the show, which is why his death is so painful and heartbreaking.
The point of the show was to show the real ness and the actual struggles in life. A perfect ending would not have been on brand for what the show was trying to portray.
The way brandon speaks about the show, the way he gets upset speaking about it. It feels so real even tho its just a show Edit. Ive never seen this many likes for a comment thanks u lot😇
I honestly think justin is the best character in the show, he went from a scared kid who grew up under Bryce's wing and learned how to cover up his pain and sorrow. To being a soft gentle angel being brought into the Jensen's family and being loved by many other people
I've been crying since last night. I went to bed crying and woke up with my eyes all red and puffy🥺😭😭... Now I'm watching this crying... "Will you hold my hand?" "My brother" 😭😭😭😭
Justin Foley: perfect example of a well written character. He was never perfect, but damn he grew up a lot during the series and unexpectedly became one of the most loved characters of the story. Rest in peace Justin.
His hospital scene and the whole season in general made me ball my eyes out. The world needs more people like Justin. I want to give Brandon the biggest hug
His death had nothing to do with his storyline. He should have healed. He should have lived and thrived and went on to tell Clays kids in the future all about the highschool stories of their father and their uncle. He shouldn’t have died.
They said his character died because it showed that he didn’t really have much self care because he didn’t think he deserved love or that anybody could genuinely love him. He thought he didn’t have a purpose and that he was useless. That’s why he didn’t get tested, why he kept relapsing, because he didn’t think he was worth it. At least that’s what the show said.
Jessie J well if hannah hadn't died we literally wouldn't have had the show so you can't complain about her death lol and bryce and montgomery did deserve it sorry not sorry
When Clay read Justin's essay I lost it. Their character development was so great to watch and seeing him finally have a family that loved him was even more heartbreaking in those final moments. Definitely the saddest series finale.
Your voice has so much pain that I don’t think anyone could’ve played it better than you Brandon . You made us cry in the last episode. You’re one hell of an actor . Give us more .

@@natemchugh5464 i dont think it because of the happy ending, but the entire season was the biggest crap of all time i think. For a show that wants to be realistic, nothing was. The plot just makes no sense at all.
Justin’s story is so heartbreaking. He’s just a broken boy when we meet him and finally his life is going his way and then he finds out he can’t live it anymore.
Yeah that was weird, gay played straight and vice versa. Brandon is not the „typical“ gay (like e. g. Miles Heizer - he couldn’t pull off straight). There were a lot of „heartthrobs“ like him who turned out to be gay. Like Rock Hudson. And I think is a damn good actor and he deserves an award for portraying Justin. The way he could shift energy and charisma like two different people was amazing. There was only one other actor on the show who was as versatile and convincing and that is Justin Prentice (Bryce Walker). He made me hate him really badly and the managed to make me feel sorry for him and that without losing any credibility. Dylan Minnette always had the same expression, no range at all, but that was probably just the role. His character really annoyed me by season 4. So I hope Brandon Flynn and Justin Prentice get the recognition they deserve. I am watching out for those two.
this honestly broke my heart even more :( seeing how passionate he is about playing Justin & just the connection to the character .. literally nobody could've played Justin better. he made the character. Justin became my favorite on the show & I think we can all say we fell in love with him. he truly deserved a happy ending & my heart hurts that it wasn't the case. I was really rooting for him & it's just so unfair. that being said, Brandon deserves an Emmy because wow!! such an amazing & personable connection, it takes a great actor & person to give that level of performance & be so passionate about it.
Justin Foley had the most dynamic character on the show and Brandon did the most amazing job portraying him. His gestures and every mannerism captivated the audience from beginning to end. Undeniably. It was one hell of a roller coaster ride. I hope to God Brandon gets endless recognition for his role. Bravo.
@@ummulfarah5854 it's one thing leading to another. Justin making that photo and sharing it, and then everyone shaming Hannah. After all things Hannah kills herself and that makes Justin to go deeper into the drug wormhole.
when even brandon can’t stop himself from getting emotional about justin.. that’s how you know how much we all loved him and how much his death really hit us all. justin really struggled his whole life and just as his life was finally turning around a bit he’s gone. he had such an incredible development and became a character we all genuinely loved with our whole hearts. he really deserved the entire world. on another note brandon did such an incredible job playing him!! like wow
In a way, I think that was the point of them killing him off. He, out of everyone, deserved the best in life. But the stuff he went through, the drug abuse and sexual abuse... it all added up and it just shows what actually happens in people’s lives. They fight to get better, but unfortunately not everyone gets a happy ending. This show touches on so many hard hitting topics, and having to understand life doesn’t always end happy is a very important message. Though it may be dark, it’s important
So many people that have their lives cut short are the best people. The kind ones, the ones who were getting their life together. It was so sad to watch justin die, but it happens in real life...
I dont think so. It was brutally realistic, and thats just how life can be: heartbreaking. I loved that they didn't give them a cheesy movie ending. Yall just mad because it didnt go as you wanted, well guess what, thats life.

For my own sanity, everything that happened with him starting with him collapsing on the floor was one of Clay’s nightmares and Justin is alive and healthy.
Justin is easily the best character in the entire show and had the best story out of everyone else and went through some of the worst things imaginable than anyone else. Thank you Brandon Flynn for the portrayal of our hero🙌🏼

honestly for the 1st time i saw this video, i totally doesn't recognise he was brandon, but that damn smile tho😆❤️❤️
Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who like this show...
same
Same like it’s my favourite show and it always will be and I see some people hating on it and I’m just like what
@@billieeyelash6060 Because the last season is a mess and was so unrealistic
Mylan I agree with this, I still watch the show because I enjoy the drama and love Dylan’s acting but after Season 1 and some parts of Season 2. The show did just get unrealistic and became just a drama series. Not something to raise awareness
It's like the best show I've ever seen I never loved a show so much like this. This show means so much to me 🥺♥️
Brandon did such a great job as this character, actually felt like I lost someone close to me :(
felt like we lost a really good friend❤️😢
Irene Haberstich 🥺
A part of me died
yeah right i cried so hard
periodt. 🥺
Justin turned his whole life around and had so much going for him. I feel like things started to fall apart when his mom passed away. His character development was second to none on the show, which is why his death is so painful and heartbreaking.
As Hannah said " That damn smile". It gets me every time and we need to see more of the final table read because 3:57 hit different
yeah, we need more table read like they've shown of GOT
when we started crying thats when we know he took his role of justin extremely seriously
it's absolutely insane how realistic justin's ending was, and that's what made it so much more heartbreaking.
💯
after so many struggles, he deserves a happy ending NOT this.
But life doesn't always go the way you want it to
dont get me wrong but i wouldnt really be hurt if it was Zach that had died Justin really deserved more
The point of the show was to show the real ness and the actual struggles in life. A perfect ending would not have been on brand for what the show was trying to portray.
agree. he was doing better and trying to be a better person.
He already had so many second chances, atleast he had a happy life in the end
This young man is such an incredible actor.
When he said goodbye to Jessica and then Clay, I just couldn't contain myself
When Justin asked clay to hold his hand, I lost it 😭
Me 2. Ive been so mad at the writers
Same
Omg yes!! I couldn't stop crying
Me tooo!!!! I died a little too
I literally cried that entire night
The way brandon speaks about the show, the way he gets upset speaking about it. It feels so real even tho its just a show
Edit. Ive never seen this many likes for a comment thanks u lot😇
I honestly think justin is the best character in the show, he went from a scared kid who grew up under Bryce's wing and learned how to cover up his pain and sorrow. To being a soft gentle angel being brought into the Jensen's family and being loved by many other people
NETFLIX, RELEASE THE LAST TABLE READ!!!!
Yes
Yes please!!
yesss!!! i would sob again
YESSS!
omg please!😭
When Brandon said “Justin was...” with all those emotions. Damn. It’s like, I know he’s dead but like he’s dying all over again.
3:58 “will you hold my hand?”
I CANNOT STOP CRYING
I HAVENT BEEN THE SAME SINCE THIS EPISODE
SAME OMG 😭😭
I've been crying since last night. I went to bed crying and woke up with my eyes all red and puffy🥺😭😭... Now I'm watching this crying...
"Will you hold my hand?"
"My brother" 😭😭😭😭
Justin Foley: perfect example of a well written character. He was never perfect, but damn he grew up a lot during the series and unexpectedly became one of the most loved characters of the story. Rest in peace Justin.
he does such a great job portraying that character, and he was just everything to everyone 💜 loved this show and will miss it
Wym everything
His hospital scene and the whole season in general made me ball my eyes out. The world needs more people like Justin. I want to give Brandon the biggest hug
this is to-date the saddest death of a character I have ever seen
His death had nothing to do with his storyline. He should have healed. He should have lived and thrived and went on to tell Clays kids in the future all about the highschool stories of their father and their uncle.
He shouldn’t have died.
They said his character died because it showed that he didn’t really have much self care because he didn’t think he deserved love or that anybody could genuinely love him. He thought he didn’t have a purpose and that he was useless. That’s why he didn’t get tested, why he kept relapsing, because he didn’t think he was worth it. At least that’s what the show said.
why not say none of the characters shld have died?
@@jessie3815 idk. ask the show
Jessie J i agree with some of their deaths cause it gave the other characters good character development, that’s why.
Jessie J well if hannah hadn't died we literally wouldn't have had the show so you can't complain about her death lol and bryce and montgomery did deserve it sorry not sorry
“Can you hold my hand bro?” Made me cry ngl.
R.I.P Justin Foley
Justin is THE best character. I’ll never get over this💔. And clay and his relationship, ughhhh 😫. I can’t even!
Exactly
When Clay read Justin's essay I lost it. Their character development was so great to watch and seeing him finally have a family that loved him was even more heartbreaking in those final moments. Definitely the saddest series finale.
@@LittleJessie56 the best emotional and heart touching show
Little jessie ugh my heart still hurts 💔
such a heart-touching series! still can't get over the last scene 💔🥺
Me too, it's a shame that he went through so much crap over the last few seasons, only to succumb to AIDS!😭💔
Your voice has so much pain that I don’t think anyone could’ve played it better than you Brandon . You made us cry in the last episode. You’re one hell of an actor . Give us more .
After find out that this particular character Justin Foley died I was so upset and that’s when u know he was an incredible actor. His acting made many people cry, his acting is so on point and I’m glad that Brandon Flynn portrayed this character because he did an incredible job. After finding out about Justin Foley dying I felt like I actually lost someone and that I wouldn’t be Able to see this character again he’s quite an incredible actor an I can’t wait to see more of his work in other shows or movies to come congrats Brandon Flynn.
Arthur Fleck ahhahaha
If he and Dylan aren’t nominated for an Emmy or golden globe I’ll be so pissed. They were both amazing!
They won't. 13 reasons why has no critical acclaim since season 1. It turned into a a really bad show after season 1.
Rin Martell what do you mean by “really bad show?
Rin Martell I’m sorry but I have to disagree, I think season 1 wasn’t that good compared to the others, but we all have our opinions
Jasmine Valencia I agree with you, I personally liked seasons 3 & 4 the most
@@rinmartell2678 nah, it didnt turn into a bad show, people are just closed minded fucktards who cant accept the fact that one story can have more outcomes that need to be touched on. 13RW was amazing all the way through if u get ur head out of ur ass
I broke down when he started reading his script "will you hold my hand"😭..i want their script reading session clip🥺
Me to
Me too .. the whole session 🥺
Justin was my favourite character in the show and when he died, it was heartbreaking
dear netflix,
it’s gonna take a while to earn my trust back...
it was all apart of the story not every story ends with a happy ending
Ong🥺🥺🥺
@@natemchugh5464 tru. I feel like some of the best series/movies have a not so happy ending.
@@natemchugh5464 i dont think it because of the happy ending, but the entire season was the biggest crap of all time i think. For a show that wants to be realistic, nothing was. The plot just makes no sense at all.
Yup, I have half a mind to write them a letter. I’m still grieving from this
The most moving character history i've ever seen
Justin’s story is so heartbreaking. He’s just a broken boy when we meet him and finally his life is going his way and then he finds out he can’t live it anymore.
Justin played his character SO well that I could have NEVER guessed that he’s gay in real life 😭
Wait What?!?...we stan😌🏳️🌈
@@anastasia-zo6ce yes he was also dating Sam Smith 🥰
Yep didn't think he's gay in real life. And Winston is not even gay in real life, he has a wife. Or maybe he's bi, idk.
Did you notice Justin was wearing the same tuxedo as Jeff and they both died
It is the coat of death...
this honestly broke my heart even more :( seeing how passionate he is about playing Justin & just the connection to the character .. literally nobody could've played Justin better. he made the character.
Bravo.
Its mad how if justin and hannah didnt smile at each other none of this would have happened
Yeah the bigining of the end, that goddam smile
yeah, that damn smile tho😆❤️
It would still cuz he was druggist and Hannah met other people who hurted her
@@ummulfarah5854 it's one thing leading to another. Justin making that photo and sharing it, and then everyone shaming Hannah. After all things Hannah kills herself and that makes Justin to go deeper into the drug wormhole.
when even brandon can’t stop himself from getting emotional about justin.. that’s how you know how much we all loved him and how much his death really hit us all. justin really struggled his whole life and just as his life was finally turning around a bit he’s gone. he had such an incredible development and became a character we all genuinely loved with our whole hearts. he really deserved the entire world. on another note brandon did such an incredible job playing him!! like wow
Actually upset you killed him off, out of everyone he deserved a happy ending...
Terrible decision it didn’t need to happen think they just ran out of ideas
I cried. But at least he died in the last episode so he was in all the seasons
Who else cried so hard when he died
i literally couldn't finish the show. it hurt so much
The Village I feel like I would have cried more if I didn’t see a spoiler a few weeks ago but I did cry
I was crying since doctor said he has AIDS until the end of the season. So sad
i was sobbing the whole episode
i cried for the rest of the episode after that scene
I’m not over the fact that Ellis Grey was Justin’s doctor....
NO WONDER SHE LOOKED SO FAMILIAR
and Derek Shepherd's ex wife Addison Montgomery is Hanna's mom 😂
I was looking for this comment!!!!
And the fact that she told them he contracted HIV which was what she diagnosed a patient when she was an intern in Grey’s Anatomy just left me 🤯
I loved this show and cried like a baby when Justin dies. My heart just broke- I thought - this kid is going to survive and look what he has gone through. Brandon Flynn playing this role you have gain a fan for life and just want to say you and your character brought me a thousands more back every season- and loved Jessica- I wanted so bad for you guys to make it.
Justin - "I love you more than life"
Jessica - "Don't love anything more than LIFE"
💕
That's pretty much the ultimate message the show wants to spread
I’m still not over the fact that Justin died, I’ll never be😭
He deserved it tho after what he and bryce did to jess in season 1
Ikr same
Kshitij Salman no.
@@kiana7007 yes🙍
For my own sanity, everything that happened with him starting with him collapsing on the floor was one of Clay’s nightmares and Justin is alive and healthy.
Justin is easily the best character in the entire show and had the best story out of everyone else and went through some of the worst things imaginable than anyone else. Thank you Brandon Flynn for the portrayal of our hero🙌🏼
okay justin is my favorite and i definitely wanted to see him have a happy ending, but his death was tragically poetic wasn’t it?
I agree!
That’s what I’ve been saying I hated that he died but considering everything I understand
So much emotion was put into it
u know those “try not to cry - level impossible “ ? this should be one of them .
The best thing about justin was he was never loved but he always knew how to love!
