I'm diggin that Evoke Zero- I already have a custom made top water from PH customs that's almost just like it but- it has a slightly different sound to it and it's bluegill based. It sounds more like a plopper and the Evoke sounds more like a buzz bait- has that "slurry" sound that only seasoned buzz baits generally get. Imo sound is everything when you're looking at this style of bait- prop baits.
I have plastic bodied prop baits with plastic props- they don't make much sound, you just hear the water being disturbed. Then I have plastic bodied prop baits with a cupped prop blade- ploppers. They make a pop, pop, pop... sound when fished at the proper speed. Then I have wooden bodied baits with steel props in each end that jingle and clack and make huge amounts of racket. Then there are baits like this one- odd balls that have their own unique sound to them- this one sounds like a finely seasoned buzz bait to me- perfect. The PH custom I have sounds like a plopper mixed with a buzz bait- and you can adjust the angle of the blade so it's more or less aggressive. It may sound like I'm splitting hairs but I'm telling you- if you fish behind folks throwing a prop bait, having one that's just a little different can make a huge difference.

Couple months ago I travel from Sacramento to u guys just to buy 4 pack of the beaver. I know call me crazy but the whole point of me traveling to u guy is to hopefully get to take pictures with u guy. But sad that u guy weren’t there. 😞. Good news is I try the beaver over here at California delta and I just have to say it’s my favor lure for flipping now. Anyway…tell Ben he owe me a beer. Thank for reading this. Lol

Dolive beaver is a pos, the plastic rips when you hook one, catches fish tho..... Not worth the money imo.
It's a piece of plastic and you shouldn't expect it to last when a destructive bass hammers it.
If you want durability OSP plastics are not the best option. If you want bites you won’t get with other plastics, OSP plastics are the deal.
Deps imitates whopper plopper and thats ok, but don't let anyone imitate Deps, love the content you guys put out and I buy tons of stuff from you guys, just wish some of the hypocrisy didn't exist. Yall are the first to call out a imitation of any japanese bait but when they do it they get praised.. You gotta stay consistent with your opinions guys. Again not a hater but that kinda bothered me and idk why, I agree with you guys 99% of the time, its so funny when yall call ppl out so Im just curious why this is ok but never ok for America to imitate Japan?
