Joseph Allamano’s short biography (EN)

Joseph Allamano was a priest from Turin, born in Castelnuovo Don Bosco (at the time called Castelnuovo d'Asti) on January 21, 1851.
Rector of the Sanctuary of the Consolata in Turin for 46 years, he founded the Missionary Institutes of the Consolata in 1901 (fathers and brothers) and 1910 (sisters).
Beatified on 7 October 1990 by Saint John Paul II, he will be canonised by Pope Francis on 20 October 2024 in Rome, on World Mission Sunday.
