Drone swarmers despawning is my doing. You're not supposed to bother looting them! But I'll change that I think for next update since everyone tries to loot them anyway.

I very much look forward to that , I had developed a whole strategy and adjustment to my Battle CVs designs, just to be able catch those little buggers quick enough, because 2-5 drone salvage adds up. Especially for those taking their first steps towards building the extenders, who do not yet have big massive "Arbiters of Death and Destruction" CVs. Thank you again!!! ^-^ P.S. Both myself and everyone on my alliance, and our Server LOVE what you've done with the game, you and Vermillion both. Thank you so much! Yes I will change them back to the default despawn timer (same as other drones) and add some loot to them. They won't drop a lot of processors, but should help out. Now that the block ID limits have been increased, there's a lot more I can add to help make loot from the various factions more unique, including more things from the drone faction.
Cant lie Spanj one of your best episodes ever. What you did today now you have experienced it will change entirely the way you build on Reforged. With either quantums or aux cores, the first thing you will do is upgrade your fave warship. Once you have done that you will say to yourself that isn't too hard to get that, hmmm what happens if I build a design that takes these sorts of things from scratch. Your new superlifter you were building mate, it isn't a matter of making it from plastic or giving it no guns, it is about embracing it will be a cpu heavy ship and slapping in plenty of quantums or aux cores. This adventure today I think will be the spark that will let you see things that way and look forward to it. And that good sir is why this is one of my fave episodes, as I think it will redefine what you think can be built and honestly looking really forward to seeing what that does to what sorts of things you build. A type of superlifer that can carry a explorer, ground pounder and warship is something I would love to see and that with these new parts is very, very doable! :)
Hey Spanj. Enjoying the series. If you put a core on the dead ships and turn off the thrusters then the invisible block issue goes away. Just FYI. Carry on.
I'll share our nullifier strategy. Firstly, kill the rear thruster(s). Best to hit them with artillery salvos as suggested by another viewer. I also set my missiles and artillery turrets to thrusters only at the start. This will stop them from moving. Secondly, same tactic on the other nullifiers (they normally travel in packs). Once they are all stopped, swap ur turrets to generators and shoot artillery cannons at the main generator near the back of the ship by following the rockets to their target (ignore all other generators). One or two salvos will core it. Next, core all other nullifiers until they are all cored unless you want to get shot at as ur looting. The reasoning behind this is the AI will always have every nullifier die within shooting distance of at least one other nullifier..we just took out a pack of 8 in legacy space 😲... When there are more than four in a pack it is tough on you ship as they will all stay near each other causing you to get ur butt/bottom/top etc of ur ship all shot up. Once we disabled five of the eight, we said f* it and went full on generator targeting as it was not fun getting barrage by 8 nullifiers from all angles😡. We finally got it done but it cost me a three hour repair... BTW I don't target turrets at all as it's a waste of ammo.
That convoluted path in and out of that cockpit would drive me nuts in 30 seconds flat, Spanj please fix! ;) Also you need some manual fire launchers, you cant depend on turrets to target whats needing cablamo asap. Manual fire for thrusters, turrets for enemy turrets and weapons.
Spanj, best way to kill Nullifiers etc is to play hide and seek in the asteroid field, use the asteroids to your advantage, I started doing it yesterday and now have 3 Aux cores, good luck out there!
I like how you made yourself a complicated maze to get in and out of your vessel to give the drones plenty of time to de-spawn. I guess it is like a handicap in golf, where the better you get the more difficult you make it for yourself. Definitely not my favouritest episode of the legendary Spanjotron, but kind of picked up a bit once you killed that thing and started collecing stuff.
Ive spent alot of time in Drone space, killing them on Reforged Eden, Never had my guns shooting at or being shot at by invisible ships, you may have found a new drone prototype. Also you get the parts from CV and Base Drones. Not the little ones they despawn to quick not worth bothering with. Also target only generators on the CVs, sit behind them to take less fire, and only Turrets on the bases/nests.
@@darrengibson4923 If you turn on Territories in the galaxy map, you will see 2 orange areas, the dark orange area away from the start area is drone space, But you can find drones in any M class system.
Our strategy for scouts and other small ships that explode as soon as u get out of ur ship is this... Set turrets to everything and blow the daylights out of them. All of the loot will fall out of the back in a nice pile and it won't matter if it self destructs. I think Ravien said he was going to increase the time on the self destruct timer since the block limit was increased so that will be nice!
Fun video as always spanj! That particular bug I've bumped into more than once in space combat. Most recently with a Dreadnought that showed being 7km away... Logout or warp-out usually solved it if you survive lol.
ya know, when you have that invisible block problem people have found that by removing all engines ends it. Also the personal drone isn't affected by the problem.
I have a system with 5 drone POIs (target generators, ignore every thing else) and a heap ton of static drones. I get a few hundred of the parts on a run. I ignore the moving ones. Don't want to deal with the despawn issue. I have placed a base there that is factioned. Feel free to grind there. I have several of the cores now.
I never understood why people build CVs and design them where it takes you a half hour to get in and out of them. The "invisible/ghost ship" issue is almost garunteed a de-sync inssue.

At 4:45 there were 2 drones under you who put down your shield Really interested in what you're starting, I find it so hard in solo on RE ... wanted to see how you manage that :-P And you do it really well, lot to learn.
Exactly what I did, Just places a little defended, but ultimately throw away "Captains Chair" up on top of my ship for quick access/getaways/exits for looting/etc. Helps speed up snagging those little guys
Those drone bastages are fun, but tough to do solo with the swarms. Looks like the patch notes for 1.4 claim that they have fixed the invisible walls while salvaging wrecks. We'll see. Hopefully they fix the despawn time as well, along with so many other things. Put an ejector seat on that ship!
For the first time in history, Spanj has pronounced Ravien's name correctly. Also, those drones aren't firing plasma, they're firing EMP. That's why your shields are going down so fast.
So I've been looking at your videos for a while and must say it's highly entertaining. I have tried to get Reforged Eden, but all that new skill tree I can't seem to be able to get. Is it exclusively for that server or? How do I get it to work?
Just try the legacy decimator fights bro 5 all warp in around one beacon. Space combat untested and unbalanced as far as i can tell shields are pointless they dont even last one barrage of legacy lasers. Then the headache of the purple bubbles that stop you boarding. But the highly intelligent turrets are completely blind too. Its just a frustrating mess most my faction gave up till its got an update in the hope its playable.
you dont have to put the vessel in 100% of power all the time in space mate, just press I and turn off the auto brake, the you spend a lot less fuel ! and be happy
I really feel like we really lost something special when 1.0 hit, because after that it kinda just feels like the whole game of empyion kinda went downhill from there. I feel the influence the mechanics put to force everyone to build all their ships bigger and extra rectangular kinda ruined the whole game. For example the only people really playing the game now are people playing it in single player.
You'd think they would make the drones drop a box behind them despawning the same way destroying any box at all. It would leave you a nice little box that'd last 20 mins or so....but nope, they wont. Lame
I was just getting back into Empyrion when THAT video popped up. Totally killed any enjoyment I had for this game. But the wonderful Empyrion gods Ravien and Vermillion have 'reforged' my enjoyment of this game

The invisible ship thing happens a lot in our mp server as well. We usually warp out/relog/warp in and it usually fixes it
Consider adding a secondary cockpit near the hatch for looting, rather than redesigning the ship to add in a new hatch.

Aux cpu is totally the way to go! More cpu and also its not a crap shoot whether or not u get a small or large quantum (which adds only 200k cpu)

Find a drone assembler. It'll get you like 80 to 100 easy.

Just plant a pilot seat near the entry. I do that with my CV.s for situations when you need quick access.

They are able to fire one point km3 and you can only do it at 600
