I always cracked the joke of wind breaking reliving the pressure of what a relief it is... I loved the freedom 8 to 12 hours after removal of the line... hip replacement and crt-d upgrade.. im left arm paralyzed and having wrist freedom

Good video, but as a matter of practice it is not a good idea to tape the transducer to the pts. chest. A better way it to get a old school foley cath strap which you can still find and strap it to the pts bicep at the level of the phlibostatic axis. This gives you a much better and accurate reading than being taped in the wrong place on the pts chest.

I was just thinking this...the chest is too high up, and not at the phlebostatic axis.

If I have time, sometimes I like to put a 2X2 under the transducer before I tape it down to help prevent it from digging into the pts skin. Especially if they have fragile skin.

If you tape it to the chest it's gonna be harder to pull your labs and flush the line.

When I worked ICU we started our own Art lines. We used an ultrasound probe to find the artery. Our supplies were not locked and sometimes it was lots of hassle looking for things. Wow we never taped the flush to the chest

    Hi,
This video was very helpful. I was wondering if you would be available for a quick user interview to help me with my master thesis. The aim of the interview is to understand the procedures that happen within the OR during a procedure.

Man, you guys lock all your supplies in a Pixis?! I guess the upside is that you don't have to know where everything is or try to explain which cupboard an item is in, during a code. I just have a paranoia of equipment failure.

For most Pyxis machines, you can have the materials department set select doors to always be unlocked. That way you don't have to log in or anything, you just walk up and open the door.

I have to write up facts on this video for HW and yet I can not make out what she is saying for the materials. This is a poor quality video.

😂 She didn't check for scene safety either!
No, really, I'm pretty sure she isn't making this video while prepping for an incoming patient.
