Hi. Did you use simple gypsum? Did it crack while drying? Thet is VERY strange - I make gypsum shells every time and there isn't any cracks. Cracks while drying are more often for cement and concrete.

That was on the first half of the outer shell. No cracks have appeared on the other half. I took my time with this second part--let the powder sit for a bit before stirring and got the air bubbles out. It dries quite slowly. I do not know if this is normal. I have read that it should be left for up to 72 hours to achieve full cure state. Do you let yours sit this long? I will continue to learn about and work with this material. I use glass fibre for that aim but can't use in casting method.
