I have never used a hedge trimmer or had a hedge to trim 😊 but if I ever do ill know which trimmer to use now! Great review as always. Have a safe and happy summer.
5:07 EXACTLY what I was saying. I accidentally depress that when I switch my grip. When that happens, I have to stop, click up twice to get back to speed 3. They need to redesign this area of all their battery machines IMO. It’s a wonky cumbersome setup. On the KMA 130 R it DOES REQUIRE the operator presence switch to be depressed before you can pull the throttle on. I find it no coincidence that we both had the same gripe with this grip setup.
Greetings Femalelumberjack. I'd like to see more about Denmark, Danish culture, Danish forests, Danish Trees, Danish food, drinks, travel and Danish life in general. Thanks.
Just did a large hedge/brush cutting job. Decided to get the KMA 130 R to run one of our many scyth/hedge trimmer attachments on. Man was I impressed with the performance over gasoline.
@@Femalelumberjack LOL 😆 IMPATIENTLY waiting. You sound like me!!! yeah I just saw that. Looks like the only difference I can spot from the 130 is the ability to run an onboard AR pack with the 135. The 130 we have must have a belt mount battery with the cable. Or an AR backpack that I’ll probably end up picking up soon here. Wonder if power output is the same as well.
Good comprehensive review. Hedges are my least favorite as well, but battery is so much nicer than gas for this task. I’ve not known about that spray you put on the blades 🤷🏼♂️ I’ll see if it’s stateside.
I like the 66 for lighter stuff. I usually use either the HLA135 or my old gas HL100 for thick stuff. I like the pole hedge trimmers way more than the regular ones
Glad you're feeling better. Using a hedge trimmer you don't need a lot of weight. Take care and have a blessed week and I'll see you on your next video. Question have you ever tried a Sugi Hara bar on any of your saws. Always enjoy the bloopers 😂😂💜💜
Fab review. How does the hla86 compare with the petrol equivalent - has anyone here used both? Particularly in terms of cutting power and weight? I think both have the same reach and I’m weighing up battery back petrol for our trees which are square box head - hornbeam chestnut square heads at 5m tall with 3m heads
I was impressed with the KMA 130 R. Considering the AR 3000 battery. Even at $1,000+. The smooth torque curve and lightweight of these tools really make a difference IMO
My only gripe(a very very small one) is that on the KMA 130 R I would often times accidentally depress the preset throttle switch. This would in turn slow the machine down to speed 1. I would have to stop, click up twice again to get back to speed 3. I feel they need to redesign the grip/throttle controls. However I do have very large hands. Maybe it’s just fine for your average hand sized individuals.
Yes, same problem with my kma 135, I also started to use a lighter batteries for hedge trimming like the ap100. It makes a difference when trimming working on a ladder.
Hej, Hej, I would like to see more hedge trimming videos: -compare the hla 135 to the Husqvarna's. -Show different ladders for hedge work and technics. - How is your working truck organized. - With your new company, what marketing ideas you will use. - At home how do you store your chainsaws. - Will Stihl start making faster battery trimmers like the hsa 66 and hsa 100. tks
@@Femalelumberjack Sorry, my autocorrect and hasty typing garbled my question. I was trying to ask why you have the forward handle removed from the battery powered Stihl behind you in the video. Or am I imagining things? I enjoy your videos either way.
I wish you could switch between a normal handle and the long ones, cause they are not that practical, on smaller hedges or trimming on single bushes I need to have more control, like with my HS 56 I like to have a battery powered one now that they are as powerful, it even might be easier to achieve a modular system but I guess they like to sell 2 machines.
Does anyone know of a good video that teaches how to do a plunge cut, some call it a bore cut. The how to videos I've found don't explain how to do it they just talk about when to use it. Not how to do it safely.
I wish stihl would stop putting the battery at the bottom. They can fall out which is a. A safety problem and b. Battery cost a lot so breaking one hurts.
But it really doesn’t matter where they place the battery it can still fall out. I haven’t dropped a stihl battery but I’ve dropped a Husqvarna battery from the top of a tree 😊
Glad you are feeling better. These reviews are helpful making equipment decisions. Thx!
Thanks. Glad you like them
Great review, as always! Wonderful to see you! ❤️

Great video. Keep them coming. Love the out takes at the end of the video.

The 66 is really light and nice to work with. I haven’t tried the 135 yet
Great review Felixia! Do you use the battery chainsaws as well?
Are these compatible with the bagpack battery stihl makes or just the AP batteries
What ladder do you have use in this video ? i'm looking for a new ladder easier for cutting on 3 meter

Curious about what you have the front handle off the battery saw behind you to your right.?
