- 1984 footage of Mestre Marcelo Caveirinha playing with: Mestre Risadinha, Mestre Preguiça, and Mestre Acordeon.
Mestre Caveirinha (Marcelo Pereira) is the founder of Capoeira Mandinga. Mestre Caveirinha was a student of Mestre Suassuna, who is the co-founder of "Associacao de Capoeira Cordão de Ouro". In 1984, Mestre Caveirinha left Brazil and settled in the United States. At that time, he was one of only three people teaching capoeira in the US. Mestre Caveirinha is also known as the real life incarnation of the Tekken video game character "Eddy Gordo." Eddy Gordo wins!

:)
hell yeah =) he was the guy that bring eddy gordo moves in the video game
Mestre Themba is also present. Respect to all the mestres, may they all have long lives and heal from any wounds. Carry forward the art and improve humanity.
For those who are wondering about Eddie's ginga in Tekken 8. The reason it looks different is because they made a new motion capture with a different person.
old school
I didn't mean the Capoeira in general but more my mestre's style then vs. now. Both then and now are sweet of course.
I'm always amazed that no one is ever accidently kicked in the face...that's skill! lol
Beautiful to watch too
2:45-Me lembrou o Richard Meyer, pai do Bob Wilson no jogo Fatal Fury de Neo Geo.
The capoeiristas in this video are:
Acordeon, Risadinha, Preguiça, Marcelo, Themba, and Julius Baker.
This video is OLD! LOL. I love watching the style from back then.

New school capo is crap, they move really fast and that goes with the music too, the whole tempo is crazy. I did some capo classes n my teacher said if you wanna learn then the real capo is what you want but if you want all this flashy fast kicks and turns, join the circus.
