When I read this SCP I misread the furies and the furries and then having humanoid animal figures further reinforced that.
And so I kind of lost interest in it thinking "a cave with furries and all the world ending object classes, boring."

I stopped listening after I realised it's about flurries and trainees

I've listened to several different versions of this SCP and I'm struck by how different some people's versions are. I almost didn't listen to this one because I thought I knew what it was about. I'm glad I didn't skip it because this reading/version provided a whole new layer of depth that I completely missed before. Thank you.

And they find a way to break out of hell, I guess
It's fantasy escapism which is what a lot of good fantasy storytelling is, Dr toki is like a chosen one who gets selected to go to trans furry heaven and live as a girl and be free and meet her dead dad I guess
I know some people are finding this cringe but I don't see anything wrong with writing a nice story about heaven to give people having a hard time like trans furries some hope. There could also be a message to build a supportive community around you, and I like that as whole the furies in the story don't want to kill anyone. I think this story is very interesting and open to interpretation and isn't badly written in my opinion as other comments are saying.
hey man im glad to see another scp channel popping up, but I would like to give some constructive criticism. your narration has a lot of "commaspeak"... kind of like upspeak but instead of raising your voice like a question? its more like slightly raising, and pausing, like there's commas, where, there arent. i think tiktok popularized this way of speaking and it is really jarring in my opinion. im not gonna lie, i couldn't finish this video because of that inflection. i hope you take this constructively because your actual voice is good... just work on not adding pauses when there arent commas, semi colons, etc

I'll double check on that. I slow down my speech pattern as naturally I'm rushing to the next word and I might be slowing it down a bit too much, or compensating by adding unnecessary pauses. I don't really watch tiktok so I don't think it's from me copying that.

I do a little bit. Raise the lows, lower the highs and fluff out the microphone weird spot. Remove any background sounds while keeping it crisp.

Legit this was great to listen to being a trans woman and also just because i kinda love the idea of the setting/serpants hand esque organization
This was a really good one. The idea of the Furies being exiled and expected to tear each other apart only to band together and create a community really mirrors the experiences of the queer community and the way bigots are trying to get us to turn on each other. Plus all the stuff with Harriet is peak the trans experience, especially the constant misgendering and deadnaming of her. I love that the SCP Foundation kicked out most if the queerphobes so we can get great ones like this!

I’m sorry but if your going to narrate anything, you should be sure of your pronunciation, and if you aren 100 percent sure, take a second and look it up.
It personally throws me out of the story. In the first 10 seconds you pronounced“Esoteric” as Iso-teric
That was probably a mistake on my part. If there's a word I don't know I do look up to pronounce it.
There are words that I do double check now because I thought I knew but turns out I didn't. Thank you for letting me know!

I’m only 12 minutes in but to jot down my current thoughts

preface this with I genuinely have nothing against that group, its just that power fantasy self inserts of any kind are
incredibly cringe and I hope the rest of this is better, i don't have high hopes.
Half way in now, “data expunged” and “redacted” are not a good band aid for not knowing what to write.
And our main character doesn’t talk like a doctor at all, they talk like a narcissist just out of high school.
Yeah it’s just a self insert fantasy and now they’re even bringing in furries that are in poly relationships.

The Data Expunged sections are actually written in, just hidden at 0 pt font in the actual article. I slipped them in for one frame in the video, but if you inspect element on the article you can see it.
I've gotta agree here. It's deffinatly a power fantasy story. Idk if I just missed it or what, but so much of it is just ignored with redactions and expungement. I have genuinely no idea what this was supposed to be about except a lgbt fantasy.
I'm not gonna say I thought this was great or anything, but I'd much rather take this than the needlessly long and convolutedly formatted meta articles
