This is the second female of these tiny dwarf baboon spiders and the footage of this pairing was just to good to not show in a video, unfortunately she is in heavy pre-moult so we are hoping she drops a sack before she moults out, this amazing footage has not been seen before in such close up clarity .

I would never own a tarantula and no idea how I ended up on TarantulaTube but I’ve watched like 100 of Dave’s videos now and I love them. Some of those species are gorgeous. I think the Brazilian Jewel one is my fave thus far. There’s something so wholesome about seeing people lovingly care for an animal, whatever it is.

Off topic here but I noticed the fly traps & wanted to tell you that these kind work a LOT better & they are not scented like the kind you have. Those cheap pull down sticky traps actually have a sent to attract flies on them which you don't want. The kind I am talking about are 5 x 7 inches (12.7- 18cm) & bright yellow, they have no scent so they won't draw them into your home but they do attract them very well.

I never realized the tibial hook almost looks like a bee stinger or a thinner fang when its fully extended, that is some amazing footage Dave. I've never seen a pairing like that before.

Ive seen several mating videos and I noticed each Male has sis own "dance". This one is the first one I've seen stretching out his pedipalps. He makes them look so long by doing that.

If you look at her abdomen it starts to take on a transparent look and shiny and loses all colour 👍
