Wonderful work of cinematography accompanying Dimash's beautiful voice. I'd say about half of Dimash's songs DO NOT have huge acrobatics but the Dears usually recommend only the songs they believe will impress reactioners. Unfortunately many reactioners do not appreciate Dimash's more subtle vocal techniques in his less flashy songs. All of Dimash's songs are beautifully sung so you can't go wrong listening to any of them. The more knowledgeable and discerning are amazed at his voice alone which many composers and music producers have dubbed the most beautiful voice in the world. Ralph Simon, who was CEO of the record company that discovered Beyonce and the Backstreet Boys to name a few and is now the head of the largest mobile music company in the world stated in a recent interview that Dimash has the best voice he has ever heard in his life and couldn't stop talking about Dimash even when he interviewer tried to ask different questions. Made me smile as Ralph who has heard it all was excited as a school boy at discovering Dimash. Check out Amanat, Qairan Elim, Makhabbat Ber Magan (Give Me Love), Moonlight Mother, Couldn't Leave, Restart My Love, My Swan MV (gorgeous early MV that shows off Dimash's burgeoning acting skills), If I Never Breath Again, Where Love Lives, Lay Down, Golden, Only You, Never Land, Eternal Memories, Regret, Endless Love, Papa Mama. Dimash tends to favor songs with meaningful lyrics and flowing poetry. One reactor criticized the poetic lyrics of Story of One Sky stating the words were hard to understand and should be in simple English which just means dumbed down for the American masses that have very little education in their own language and nothing in poetry. I disagree as it actually might encourage some Americans who wish to better understand the meaning will educate themselves and might learn to appreciate poetry and the art of wordsmithing. It's a shame the non native speakers of English understand the lyrics more easily than purported "Native speakers " of English. Most Americans these days speak what we would term pidgin English in the old days. A truncated version of a rich and beautiful language which appears to be an endangered species in the USA.
Hello, on the Dimash News portal, the director of MV Alina Veripia (same director of The Story Of One Sky) told us the following: “As Alina shared, when she got the chance to shoot a music video for Dimash, she gasped. The composition inspired her so much that after receiving feedback and feedback from the performer, she immediately began writing a script. As a result, Alina created four different stories and was very pleased when Dimash chose his favorite. This is a very beautiful and deep love story that takes place during the years of Stalin's repression. In this horror, in this piercing cold, in this crime, the love of two people is born, as if they did not come from this world. And they are so pure, so beautiful in their feelings, that no darkness can extinguish this light. And you will understand what I'm talking about when you see the clip, shared Alina Veripia. When the question of location arose, the team, without much thought, made the unanimous decision to shoot the music video in St. Petersburg, because no other city could convey the flavor of the harsh and terrible year of 1937. Alina Veripia noted that the filming went smoothly and the whole team worked as one organism: When you watch the video, you will see how deeply Dimash lived each scene. He got so used to the role that we had virtually no retakes. Our cameraman Dmitriy Vollmer, like the entire crew, enjoyed every take, every look. It was an incredible shoot." A story where we see the abuse of power reflected, when the one in power sees himself as having the right to do what he wants and kill whoever gets in his way. We watched videos and photos from backstage and saw that he shielded her with his body and was shot. They decided not to put that scene at the end.👌
It’s one of the few songs where he doesn’t show his wide vocal range or vocal exercises other than that incredibly soft, breathy voice. Perhaps the content of this song is more important to him than showing his vocal ability. I think that’s a very good choice for this song. At first the song didn’t appeal to me that much. I wasn’t alone there. You’re not used to such a “normal” song from Dimash. But together with the MV, a masterpiece. All his songs and especially the MV’s have a deeper meaning as you know by now. I love this one so much. It’s one of my favorites. The MV is about the time during Stalin’s repression in 1937. Back then, the secret police could do whatever they wanted. I think this officer for some reason was looking for Dimash’s character and then forced his girlfriend into some kind of relationship. She had to endure it to protect the love of her life. Realizing that she never stopped loving Dimash’s character, the officer ended it in his own way. The video was shot to the end, but the scene at the end where he dies in her arms was left out. But you can also see it on his channel. As for the song, I actually like it better without the vocal acrobatics. We all know what Dimash is capable of vocally and I find that breathy, deeply sad voice really fitting. The MV really moved me deeply. Only if you really want to see the ending. But it's only BTS. Look at minute 3.51 UA-cam minute 3:51: ua-cam.com/video/kJR-z6mT5yY/v-deo.html
The Original scuttlebutt was he acted the death scene so we’ll. That the crew were left in tears😭 That’s why the CUT‼️ I think the Lyrics were clear enough to say it’s “OKAY” to LOVE AGAIN. I’m leaving😭 🫠✨Igor & Dimash ✨🫠🎶 🎶✨Another✨Beautiful✨🎶 ✨🌟✨Masterpiece ✨🌟✨ I first bought this song on ITunes No Subtitles in 🇬🇧 that day. No matter the melody and the lyrics were very soft and soothing. So THEN I put it in my 💛 Heart hearing 🎶🎶🎶🎶 Okay 🎶🎶🎶🎶 Okay etc….. . With the Full release including subtitles & video. It NOW lives ✨💛Deeper in my Heart💛✨ This is a love story in reference to Russian history. The Stalin’s repressions of the 1930s. How evil takes control over all. The government ruled every aspect of the people lives. Even (NKVD Officer) having the ability to effect “Her” direct memories of pure love, by tainting them with the uncontainable power over “Her”(The Lovers) life. The music video was shot in St. Petersburg, because no other city could convey the flavor of the harsh and terrible year of 1937. 💛2U&2ALLU💛🦌🦌💫🌎🫠🇺🇸
It's true! I saw the missing 46 seconds and it was Oscar worthy as you saw his face as he was dying and the pain, confusion and fear were heartbreaking.
I’m actually kind of glad they left the ending open, or at least implied. Sometimes it’s best not to tell the whole story. I would still however be interested in seeing the original cut.
@@PrymalChaos the original cut was in black and white and online on Vimeo just for a few hours. The guy who posted it wasn‘t allowed to do so and had to remove it. It isn’t online anywhere, at least I couldn’t find it.
Dimash's broken, delicately breathy voice, a simple melody with uncomplcated pop rhythm (reminiscent a bit of 'I Miss You'), loving, sad but also comforting words and haunting images... and this adorable smile from Dimash... tears flow over my smiling face. For me, the lyrics, the pop beat and the images of the video all go together very well. Dimash leaves his beloved because she has someone else. He knows that the other can become dangerous to him, but he doesn't know that his beloved is being blackmailed by this secret policeman. He thinks she's happy. Dimash assures her that everything is 'okay', he accepts and she should too. Life goes on and the pain will fade. It seems easy for him to give up his love. (pop beat, almost like a fast heartbeat) ... but you can hear the pain in Dimash's voice. He's fooling himself and her. The secret policeman, who suspects something, wants to catch Dimash. When he finally realizes that the young woman will never love him, he gives her the 'choice'. She flees with Dimash... A shot is fired... End? It leaves us stunned. What will happen? You brood and brood, but you can't get it out of your head. For whom is the glass always half full and for whom is it always half empty? ... Fascinating, clever ... great! Director Alina Veripia was blown away when she learned she was to create the story and video for Dimash's new song. Dimash also chose Alina's favorite from 4 stories: A beautiful and deep love story set in the years of Stalin's repression. This love is so deep, pure and immortal, It defies the horror, the fear, the penetrating cold and darkness of this time. The video was recorded in color but looks black and white, very dark, spookey. Only the lovers are shown in a bright, sun-drenched, warm, gold-bronze setting. These scenarios reinforce the intense feelings emanating from Dimash's breathy, delicate voice and the haunting, magical and beguiling, but also from the frightening and disturbing images. The location was St. Petersburg, appropriate to the dark year 1937 in which the video takes place. (Source and more information on Dimashnews) - Music - Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'. This song is a collaboration with Igor Krutoy. It was going to be premiered on Russian TV the week the Ukraine war started and got shelved for a bit for obvious reasons. It's the same director as Story of One Sky, she came up with a few storylines and Dimash picked the one he liked best. They filmed him dying at the end after being shot but decided not to put it in the finished version. My favourite emotional vocal from him, without the bells and whistles, is Qaragym Ai, the 2020 version. It's a memorial for his mentor who died. Just him and another guy at a piano. Here's the link. ua-cam.com/video/HilvUOOPRvE/v-deo.html
Dimash‘s breath is even music, it’s amazing. I never thought that breathing could make me want to listen to more of it. 😂 You already got some recommendations for calmer songs and I also go with Qaragym ai version of 2020. Gosh this one broke my heart. To see and hear a grieving Dimash is almost unbearable for me but it’s so beautiful.
Can't miss that samba beat ! the sultry bosa nova voice of Dimash and that Cuban Samba Pa TI music that Igor has a passion for ( loves Latin music ! ) woven throughout.
@@PrymalChaos it's the Latin flavor that seems to go over many folks' head, yet is the music of millions ! I hear it every so often in Dimash's with acoustical guitar et al, Igor couldn't help himself any longer (ha !) and juxtaposed with the sepia and black and white and the era is stunning in the artistry. That dramatic contrast has Dimash written all over it. Their collaborations have taken on the mark of high art as Dimash matures in his craft. Magic.
I love love love your reactions to Dimash! This song is very underrated.. Beautifully written, filmed and performed.. And it's the same director of Story of one sky... So you're getting the same vibes.. But again.. Dimash chose the scenario .. Thank you
I was really surprised the first time that I saw this, but I shouldn’t have been. Love of Tired Swans, War and Peace (composed by Dimash), Okay, and of course, The Story of One Sky all have that oppression of an outside source. When listening only to the song, you would never think that this would have been the direction of the video, but knowing Dimash, it’s not surprising that this is the storyline that he chose, because again, we have a message, not a traditional love gone wrong song. Always enjoy your Dimash reactions ❤
Hi from Hobart Tasmania. 👋 My favorite Dimash song/MV of all his songs is Akkuym (My Swan). Instrumentally phenomenal, sung in Kazakh, and a beautiful jazzy feeling love song that incorporates Kazakh instruments, flamenco feel and a beautiful tenor sax. Gorgeous song! Thanks for the great reaction. Cheers, mate.
@@PrymalChaos hiya 👋🤣 Akkuym is vastly underrated but if you love a great composition with an awesome storyline and phenomenal vocals you can’t go wrong. 🇦🇺🦘
@@pamala2112 Definitely! Especially the staircase scene. Very avant-garde (is that the right term?🧐) Lots of Dutch angle shots in the filming too which I love.
When I think about his official music videos, I notice that they are all a little mysterious and invite discussion. The more people are talking about the video and what it means to them, the more they will remember it. I think that's the beauty of these - you remember them.
THAT SHIRT IS FANTASTIC! 🔥 Now I know what to ask for for Christmas! 🎄 I really enjoy all of your Dimash reactions. You haven't done a reaction yet for the one that Dimashified me (Akkuym/My Swan Official MV). It's a very early work and speaks to his gift for acting even then. The instrumentation is captivating and reminds me of parts of One Sky. Seems it was a bit controversial at the time because of it's intimacy and the storyline. But with 6.6 million views, I'm guessing most of the Dears have gotten over it by now lol. Would love your reaction to it.
This tune really grows in you, the more you hear it…and is totally beautiful. The ending is a wake-up call. It could be a part of The Story Of One Sky. The uselessness of war….no one wins in the end….but let’s do it all again !! (for power and money)…it’s an addiction just like gambling.
Two of his songs that I really like are "Love is not over yet." There is a lovely fan video for it that uses clips from Dimash's concert in the rain. I also love " The Meaning of Eternity" which had a great video by LiLaSi.
I think Dimash let us be part of the story by leaving and open ending that everybody has the permission to close up his/her own way! Thanks for your reaction. Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸
1930'S, Stalin era, when intellectuals, and artists, were fair game. The author of the lyrics for "Daididau" was one such person. He was an educator, incarcerated and later executed. Think Lounge Jazz. popular at that time. Yes, it should have been suggested. However, your method of picking on your own, works great too. A lot of Dimash's portfolio, contains anti aggression messages. "War and Peace" is another. Since you appear to appreciate the less flamboyant, but ever so beautiful performances, I am going to suggest the Music Video of "My Swan".
Please, react to Adai+Daididau. Although Dimash does go high there it's such an emotional song, he even cries at the end. Also he seems to be having problems with his in-ears but he manages to sing beautifully without them throughout the whole song. I think you'll love it.
“Qairan Elim” - it was written in a moment of supreme despair during the pandemic, when the world went crazy, people didn’t know what to do and what to expect, our government and medicine institutes didn’t give necessary support and in contrary made outrageous decisions … and many people were gone. Dimash had lost his dear and greatly respected teacher and mentor. This is a prayer, prayer for the well-being of his homeland, his people and the whole world.
I really enjoy your content and your reactions! 💗I would like to suggest "Couldn't Leave" by Dimash. It's an OST for the Chinese Rom Com TV series Go Go Squid. It's definitely not one of his main songs that you will hear but I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. ua-cam.com/video/6Cil22TX4LA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WebSeth
He's done a number of songs without the vocal acrobatics especially earlier in his career in China as he was very much the teen idol over there. Couldn't Leave, Restart My Love, The Crown, Our Love are all ones from earlier on that rely on that beautiful mid range then there's Give Me Love and Qaragym Ai in Kazakh. You'll generally find that his Kazakh songs are mostly sung in the lower ranges. I don't know if that's a hold over from when he was ridiculed in his country for "singing like a girl" but even now with Zhalyn, it's very pop but still no vocal acrobatics.
I agree with you. This end turns it so much special. And he doesn't always have to sing high notes to convey emotion. Please react to Ocean over the time.
Loved your take on this one! I don't think you've done Samaltau. I highly suggest that one. Very cool, unique instrumentation at the start with traditional Kazakh instruments. It is in Kazakh and is from a traditional folk song. Of course, Dimash gives it his own spin. There are some moments when his voice soars just ever so quickly, but 99% of the song is in his mid range. It is a song that really touches you and Dimash has said it is very special for him and actually hard to sing because of how he feels about it. In general, it's about a young Kazakh man subscripted by the Russian army to fight and forced to leave his homeland and his aging parents. It is told from the soldier's perspective and the feelings he is having about the situation. I prefer the Tokyo Jazz Festival version because it feels very intimate to me with Dimash recording it from his home studio during the Covid lockdown. However, the other versions on his channel are great as well.
Your right this is related to the story of one sky. This video also criticizes the current situation in Russia just a bit more hidden. The story of one sky didn t cone out of nowhere of corse. It speaks of things that Dimash possibly has ever been concerned about. If you want to hear other songs related to the story of one sky try war and peace, Samaltau, Daididau.
Gostei do vídeo, da história de amor, mesmo sendo dramática e trágica , pois Dimash atuando e cantando é simplesmente extraordinário e apaixonante! Música e letra maravilhosas! Maestro Igor krutoy! Espetacular! 👏🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏽👏🏽👏🏿👏🏿👏🎶🎶♥️♥️🇧🇷🇧🇷
This song so much frightened me when i first heart it. For a while i even always got a fright whenever i heart the word okay in other contexts. This soft breathy voice of his grasps me inside not only in a pleasant way.
Someone called the sounds at the beginning of the song "reversed piano sound", like the piano notes are played in reverse :) And someone who knows Igor`s repertoire said that the melody is his earlier pop style, something like that. Below I quoted the explanation for the song itself, and separately for the MV (from dimashnews), as they were born separately : The video director and writer of the script described her idea behind this MV : “This is a very beautiful and deep love story that takes place during the years of Stalin’s repressions. In this horror, in this piercing cold, in this crime, the love of two people is born, as if they did not come from this world. And they are so pure, so beautiful in their feelings, that no darkness can extinguish this light." Regarding location, the team made an unanimous decision to film the MV in St. Petersburg, because no other city could convey the flavor of the harsh and terrible year of > *1937* . Our hero and the girl are the couple, and their life and love story are invaded, and broken by NKVD (old name for KGB), representatives of the regime`s power, who could pick on you for any reason, take anything from you, throw you in jail, legally execute you, and even assassinate you, shoot you in the back. The officer represents power, so he can claim anything he wants, and he can get away with anything. The officer is taking advantage of an abusive search of the apartment, and tries to claim the girl by force. He succeeds to trap her for a short while, and then pretends to release her, only to shoot after them moments later. The twisted attitudes of people representing power in a repressive regime. The fate of beauty, good and purity under an oppressive regime, and the self-entitlement of evil, that puts it`s brutal stamp over it, with the gunshot. The representatives of the authoritarian regime manage to destroy their life, to reduce a "world full of color" down to only "a flash in the sky". The switch back and forth between images of the happy couple and images of the girl being pestered by the NKVD officer, has the purpose of highlighting the contrast between the sun-lit beauty of good and love, and the grim-colored ugliness of evil intentions. The screen going black before the gunshot helps keep the focus on the attitude of evil, who doesn`t know to do anything other than hurt, successfully or not - instead of on whom the NKVD agent managed to hit or not. The gunshot remains ringing in the dark, making it timeless, leaving us with a bitter taste, and making it a powerful reminder of historical regime brutality. ------------------------------------- The song was written first, and it was described like this : "In the song, which organically combines modern music and elements of classical sound, the lyrical hero surrenders to memories of the lost love. However, despite the bitter decision to break up, the hero meets it with courageous calm. As he bids farewell, he wishes his former lover no regrets about the story, even though it is over: “Don’t cry or regret, just wipe away the bitter tears in your eyes soon.” - so it is a gentle, wise, well-wishing break-up song. (also the MV gunshot sound is not part of the song itself, it`s only part of the video story) For the video that was scripted later, the video director was inspired by the composition to write 4 scenarios. Dimash picked this one. They decided to add more depth to the song. The story in the video is supported by the lyrics in a different way - they represent acceptance of fate, and words of encouragement, in the face of unjust, forced separation. In both versions, the protagonist is trying to heal, be "Okay", after a separation.
If you appreciate a subdued song that does not rely on fireworks but touches your heart and soul in a way that you have never experienced before - check Samaltau, Tokyo Jazz festival. Otherworldly. My absolute favourite.
@PrymalChaos I recommend Marigold - it is an Ukrainian song, he sang it in his concert in Ukraine, Kiyv, in 2020 in their language. The lyrics is about a mother, and Dimash's mom sat in the first row, the camera shows her crying while listening it, and they put her face on thevbig screen too. It is very simple, but heartwrentching, Dimash sings it full of emotion, only him with a piano. He said for him the hardest songs the biggest challenges to sing are not the vocally difficult ones but those about the suffering of his counttry, like Samaltau, and which are about mother, like Moonlight Mama, cos he saud these are hard to sing in emotional point for him..(sorry for my not proper English, but hope, you get what I mean. Here is that interview where he talks about it, if you are interested to react to it. I would like you to react to it. ( ua-cam.com/video/irbOSwbXfRk/v-deo.html ) Samaltau - 1st performance on 6th Solk Road International Film Festival - I love its intro + the beautiful stage, 2nd Toyo Jazz Festival - online from his home studio - he sang sitting on a stool crossed legs!!!! 3d - Dimash Digital Show version, I love it visually the most, & it has slightly different arrangement, only missing the traditional - dunno how to say it in English - instruments which adding ambient suonds in the previous versions. Sigh...it's hard to choose for a dear! We appreciate & enjoy every lil nuance! All these are on his channel. And I could continue with many... For me one of his most beautiful , touching, delicate and underestimated gem is "The Meaning of Eternity" ,sadly it is too short! If I Never Breathe Again (Arnau New York concert version is my fav) Thousand of Miles a Common Dream ( not the duet on his ch, but the first version only on fan ch - it is much much more delicate, refined but technically hard & brilluant version, he sings it with different softer appriach), Restart My Love are also my favourites though aren't so demanding vocally, but beautiful & touching. Oh, and Akkuym (My Swan) music video on his ch! There are songs which have a soaring high part though calm, melodious, melancholic & beautiful pieces like Ocean Over The Time music video (2017 AMA winner song in game ost cathegory) Gesi Baglari, Ai Karagoz (duet with Alisher Karimov, Sagyndim Seni ( Miss You - his father wrote it for his mother, and for their 25th jubileum of their marriahe, he put it on his first album) Ah there are just so many songs! Please, do Dimash reaction more often! I enjoy your reactions very much! Can't wait for the next one. Much love from Hungary! Bonus: understimated, though it has some mindblowing vocal fireworks " We Are One" music video on his ch. I love this song!
I would recommend Qaragym Ai, Amanat, Quiran Elim (I like the music video for its visuals and symbolism)--do you see a pattern here? They're all Kazakh pieces where he relies on the story and the emotion rather than the fireworks that a lot of people associate with Dimash. Samaltau and Ikanaide from the Japanese Jazz Festival (2020 and 2021) are in the same tradition (though Ikanaide is a Japanese song.) They all pull you into his singing, touch your heart and pull at your soul. Make sure you take a look at the meaning of the lyrics too, though--they are a very important part of what he has to say in these pieces.
This one is not my favorite. But why not in our music industry ? Better than ones outside now. Could you take a look to Omir Oter or Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz Festival version ?) Thank you

One of my very favorites is the MV Aqquym. Simply beautiful 🎶🎶🎶
I really think One Sky has some instrumental similarities and maybe that's why I'm now seeing more requests for Aqquym. BTW, he added it to his list!
Hello, on the Dimash News portal, the director of MV Alina Veripia (same director of The Story Of One Sky) told us the following:
“As Alina shared, when she got the chance to shoot a music video for Dimash, she gasped. The composition inspired her so much that after receiving feedback and feedback from the performer, she immediately began writing a script.
As a result, Alina created four different stories and was very pleased when Dimash chose his favorite.
This is a very beautiful and deep love story that takes place during the years of Stalin's repression. A story where we see the abuse of power reflected, when the one in power sees himself as having the right to do what he wants and kill whoever gets in his way. We watched videos and photos from backstage and saw that he shielded her with his body and was shot. They decided not to put that scene at the end.👌
I love the vocal acrobatics, but what I love most is that Dimash knows what is needed for the songs. Amanat is one of my favorites.
Here is the link to Amanat. ua-cam.com/video/Y2PqnN31pL0/v-deo.html
Look at minute 3.51

This is a love story in reference to Russian history.
(Source and more information on Dimashnews)
- Music - Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR).
All Dears should also subscribe to Igor's channel. He deserves it.

I totally agree about Qaragym Ai. It's one of the most emotional of Dimash's song. Unfortunately one of the most underrated.
Thank you!
For me Dimash’s singing breathing is a miracle! Moves me deeply….🙌🙏♥️
Awesome reaction, wise thoughts👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️. A new side from Dimash is his song #Zhalyn. Please check it out‼️‼️‼️🙏🙏🙏
Dimash‘s breath is even music, it’s amazing.
Thank you for another great reaction and analysis. And thanks for thinking of us, making the Dears shirt.
СпасиБО за реакцию...🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can't miss that samba beat ! the sultry bosa nova voice of Dimash and that Cuban Samba Pa TI music that Igor has a passion for ( loves Latin music ! ) woven throughout.
It has such an amazing flavour!
Thank you
Awsome reaction!!!❤😊
Esta cansion es bellisima...y Mis you cantada en ruso es una de mis preferidas....
Hello! 👋
@@PrymalChaos hiya 👋🤣 Akkuym is vastly underrated but if you love a great composition with an awesome storyline and phenomenal vocals you can’t go wrong. 🇦🇺🦘
@@suzannesantos86 And even the set is so interesting. I notice something new every time I watch💝
I really enjoy all of your Dimash reactions.
No I don’t think I’ve come across that one yet! I’ll add it to the list! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for another great reaction. Same director for OKAY and THE STORY OF ONE SKY. Dimash really likes her!
She’s amazing!
Yeah. That one has come up a few times. I’ll add it to the list.
Dimash sorprendiendome con su voz impecable 💯💯🇨🇷🇨🇷

I agree and another one that I fell in love with when first hearing it is ua-cam.com/video/tugipmZWRfo/v-deo.html
Couldn't Leave is one of my favourites. I was so glad when he finally sang it again in Dubai
It’s interesting how life can shape an artist like that.
Спасибо большое за реакцию:)
Someone called the sounds at the beginning of the song "reversed piano sound", like the piano notes are played in reverse :) And someone who knows Igor`s repertoire said that the melody is his earlier pop style, something like that. Below I quoted the explanation for the song itself, and separately for the MV (from dimashnews), as they were born separately :
The video director and writer of the script described her idea behind this MV : “This is a very beautiful and deep love story that takes place during the years of Stalin’s repressions.
-------------------------------------
The song was written first, and it was described like this : "In the song, which organically combines modern music and elements of classical sound, the lyrical hero surrenders to memories of the lost love. (also the MV gunshot sound is not part of the song itself, it`s only part of the video story)
For the video that was scripted later, the video director was inspired by the composition to write 4 scenarios.
My absolute favourite.
oh, and also veeery nice chinese song is "Restart my love" : ua-cam.com/video/XpKtWN5c9KM/v-deo.html
Beautiful !
👋👍👍👍
( ua-cam.com/video/irbOSwbXfRk/v-deo.html )
Samaltau - 1st performance on 6th Solk Road International Film Festival - I love its intro + the beautiful stage, 2nd Toyo Jazz Festival - online from his home studio - he sang sitting on a stool crossed legs!!!!
If I Never Breathe Again (Arnau New York concert version is my fav)
Thousand of Miles a Common Dream ( not the duet on his ch, but the first version only on fan ch - it is much much more delicate, refined but technically hard & brilluant version, he sings it with different softer appriach), Restart My Love are also my favourites though aren't so demanding vocally, but beautiful & touching.
Oh, and Akkuym (My Swan) music video on his ch!
There are songs which have a soaring high part though calm, melodious, melancholic & beautiful pieces like
Ocean Over The Time music video (2017 AMA winner song in game ost cathegory)
Gesi Baglari, Ai Karagoz (duet with Alisher Karimov,
Sagyndim Seni ( Miss You - his father wrote it for his mother, and for their 25th jubileum of their marriahe, he put it on his first album)
Ah there are just so many songs! Please, do Dimash reaction more often! I enjoy your reactions very much! Can't wait for the next one.
Much love from Hungary!
Bonus: understimated, though it has some mindblowing vocal fireworks " We Are One" music video on his ch.
I love this song!
Me encanta okay...
Thank you for your reaction i.ve seen It there Is a video with Who gets shot
Can you share the link, please?
I would recommend Qaragym Ai, Amanat, Quiran Elim (I like the music video for its visuals and symbolism)--do you see a pattern here? They're all Kazakh pieces where he relies on the story and the emotion rather than the fireworks that a lot of people associate with Dimash. Samaltau and Ikanaide from the Japanese Jazz Festival (2020 and 2021) are in the same tradition (though Ikanaide is a Japanese song.)
They all pull you into his singing, touch your heart and pull at your soul.
Make sure you take a look at the meaning of the lyrics too, though--they are a very important part of what he has to say in these pieces.
This one is not my favorite. But why not in our music industry ? Better than ones outside now.
Could you take a look to Omir Oter or Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz Festival version ?)
Thank you
