It has a great blend between turn based battle RPG and daily school life elements. With the gameplay there's just so much to do and a lot of freedom to do it. Not to mention it has a great story and some of the most well written/down to earth characters I've seen in an RPG. The game actually rewards you for fleshing out your friendships because it makes you more powerful during the battle dungeons so it just feels so rewarding to both. If this sounds like you may be interested give it a shot! If you have a PS3, you can download both Persona 3 and 4 from the PSN store at a pretty good price especially when its on sale.

Other than Pokémon, I have a really hard time with the “first anime” question, because I was little and my dad showed it to me, and I don’t know what it was. It had a male character, likable I think, and a bird that talked. He was a perverted bird, and I remember he started doing something with a chicks breasts and my dad made me stop watching it. I loved it, it got me into more anime things that I kept watching as I grew up, but I’ve never found that anime again.
