Good job. I've been looking for a cheap, reputable, and small space heater and this seems to be the one with better, consistent reviews. Your video was the icing on the cake. Thanks.
I just bought one so far so good. I was warm in my bedroom last night. I let the room get warm and then when i'm going to sleep I turn it off. In the morning I turn it back on for my shower and by the time I'm out the room is warm. I was wondering about the light and if it should go off but only when you unplug it. So I'm really enjoying it right now. At least I can sleep and not be cold.
I purchased this heater two years ago on Amazon for about $30. I craft in my single car garage which isn't insulated so I wanted a heater doing the winter time. Initially it was unbelievably effective. Unfortunately, I also smoke in my garage and have two cats so the fan and heating element quickly became dirty and there's not a whole lot you can do to clean the nicotine off of the components in the inside so that's kinda a downside. I do have security bits though so I can do so but I wouldn't recommend anyone try unless they're experienced with such tasks. Anyway, it's still kicking two years later. It's even been dropped and knocked over multiple times and still seems to be running properly. I'm completely shocked at the durability of this little space heater. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone not planning on allowing children access to it (or any potentially dangerous electrical item really) because as the gentleman in this video stated, it has no safety shut off if it tips over, which was actually what made me choose it over a few other models I checked out. I should also add that it doesn't keep my garage warm enough when temps get below zero so if you're considering purchasing this heater, keep in mind that it's not going to heat large uninsulated areas suitably in freezing temps. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it would heat a smaller area, like up to 12'X12' or so, sufficiently in freezing temps if the area was well sealed but don't take my word for it because I'm only theorizing here.
My light bill has increased since using this heater. I was paying about $35.00 a month and now it's about $85.00. I'll have to use it less because this is a bit much. I'll see what it is next month. But this little sucker really get's my bedroom warm.
That's great, I have a Del-Rain Ceramic heater from the early 90's that I still am using. And was wondering how much power it uses as you scroll down on the rheostat. Honestly on the lowest setting and fan use it is incredibly warm enough.
So in the US can you not get heaters more than 1500W? I guess any more and it would use more than 13A. (I don't know what size fuses you have over there. In the UK we get 3A, 5A and 13A plug fuses.) Here we have heaters which top out at around 2.7 to 3.0KW.
+Josh Bennett In U.S. our electrical code for household circuits is 110v 15 amps/1.5KW at plug outlets, some kitchen outlets may go with 110v 20 amp but no portable electrical appliances can be rated more than 1500 watts or else it must have a specialised plug that will not fit in a standard outlet. We have some 220v outlets which are generally reserved to electric clothes dryer 220v 30 amp and electric range 220v 50 amp with very large plugs. Most of our 220v circuits are permanent installation eg. hot water, AC, hot tubs, baseboard heat etc... Its very frustrating to me at times, our standard 110v on 14 gauge wire can only carry 15 amp load. If I'm in my tool shop or kitchen for that matter I can only run one large appliance at a time or it will trip the breaker. In fact the worst offender is the small space heater I run when I shower then use the hair/blow dryer and forget to shut off the heater first.
Has Alaska here with four settings off Van only in a warning to setting I just want to sign 1 and 2 how to put a ton of heat in your Lasko heater in 47-44 heater summer mcvan and the summer you're not going to use that heater because it will get hot cause a fire and your house will burn down in a causing Danger so be very very careful on these heaters the very very cheap
I see this video is 6 years old, so how long did it last? Then again it's only 21 bucks on Amazon now and I get prime free shipping, so at that rate I'll be happy if it makes it through this winter..haaa
@@ureviews Wow, well that's even better news then, especially since it's on the way. And funny thing is at end of video you're warming your hands, that's why I'm getting it, to set on my desk and warm my hands, hard to type with frozen hands or gloves...haaaaa, sounds like this will be ideal for that. Gotta love amazon prime too. Well that's great news, thanks for review and response. Cheers!
+Hunter Josephson Do the math. He gave you the numbers in energy consumption. Look on your bill and find out what your local power company charges per kilowatt hour. If you suck at (basic)math, there are plenty of online calculators that will cover that thinking part for you....just plug in the numbers. Easy.
Has anyone had a problem with this heater melting there electrical outlet? I seen couple of pics on Amazon that this heater melted there outlet and almost started a fire i just to know before i buy this heater.
I had one in a brand new townhouse that the plug melted...so, wiring was up to date...I think some are defects .....ran it for 2 years in the cold months in Florida though...I am sure like anything else you may get one that malfunctions..
Hey reviewer who cares about the voltage they are Lasko thy should do good for commercials users. The question is the temperature range. Whats the min and max. it just has a marking - and + nothing more.

Hey and greetings... may I ask how did the fan hold up for you

indoor smoking is the worst
Do you remember what size spanner bit is needed to disassemble?

Ive never seen anyone call the electric bill the light bill before lol
how often were you using the heater?
@@Icureditwithmybrain It's an old expression. My mother used to say that.
Great review video Mr. Phoenix, and you were marvelous in the Joker:)
Ah ah that's a first. I usually get Christopher Walkins
This is a very well done video. Including the watt meter made it quite informative.

What size spanner bit is needed to unscrew the back?
Awesome
What is the difference between the 1 and 2 mode? I have this heater and it really saved my life but I never knew what the two settings meant
2 supposedly produces more heat. They should have really labeled as hi and lo.
Very helpful
I have the slim tower shape same wattage but I noticed a weird odor after turning for a while.
Thank you
When you plug the space heater in the light will come on, but will the space heater beep when you plug it in?

+Lucy Martinelli Wow that must be annoying!
+Josh Bennett
It is! But on the other hand we are playing about $1.60/gal. for regular gas right now.

Just thinking, it may be helpful to add a temp guage to judge how effecient the unit converts watts to heat.
All electric resistive heaters are 100% efficient.
Don't try to take it apart to clean it, just use a straw or compressed air. I attempted the former and am sad now haha
I see this video is 6 years old, so how long did it last? Then again it's only 21 bucks on Amazon now and I get prime free shipping, so at that rate I'll be happy if it makes it through this winter..haaa
Still working 🤣

How do I clean mine it’s clogged
Compressed air?
What is the energy cost for this?

+zach zummo I saw that too but the problem was with the wiring at the outlet not the heater's fault.

I used this heater three times, and now, it shuts off after about four minutes: a piece of junk!
The thermostat doesn't work it won't shut off
Where are you and why are you using centimeters? Lol
I love the metric system plus there are many international viewers.
Im talking EMF waves, my computer is bad but this thing is worse
