Apparently I can't think and talk at the same time haha. ***Diabolos can use its effect on SET cards. Usually, I use it on their backrow but it can use the effect on set monsters ***A lot of builds play the kuribandit over card trooper. Reason being, you aren't exactly setting up a crazy turn 1 board, so the immediate mills are less important early on(also adds a spell or trap). That being said card trooper has its benefits too. For example, late game and if you're under skill drain.
@@HuguitoBonito it's definitely a solid card. I've gone back and forth with one or the other. It also just depends how far into redox you wanna go and playing debris at that point
@@theguyver13 There's several different ways to play the deck. I was mostly going based off the most common ratios from topping nationals lists that year. Even then, a lot chose different rulers, but most played 2 diabolos
@MaxImmatureZarin i personally only ever saw one played but i didn't look up a ton of videos on it at the time so that may be why and I liked playing the three rulers cause it gave me a better chance at banishing the eclipse and getting at least three bodies on board with enough to otk my opponent when attacking , redox didn't have enough attack to make that cut lol . I'd like to see a new variant of the deck now that the rulers are off the list
@@theguyver13 Yeah I get what you mean. Usually redox is played when maining or siding Maxx c and card trooper as extra earth targets. Yeah it'd be interesting for sure
Geez I miss lightsworns, too bad you’ll never mill anything now against anything modern as you’ll die first or second turn. But they were fun for the first couple years they came out rip.
@@chibi6368 Well that's the fun in time wizard events/formats. Getting to go back and play decks back when they were top decks! Appreciate you checking out the video too :)

hey few point as an ls ruler player. I main max c/space typhon depending if I know who comes to local but that is because I know the local meta, redox is amazing if you play max c but pretty bad otherwise unless its your 4th about the dragons I think 2 lightray is way to much, the deck is already bricky, even more so when you only play 2 rulers, I think tidel is much better than tempest, yes you have more wind extra deck but it doesnt come up also, blaster+tidel+michel is an otk i have done a lot. I like the traps, might have tried one more breakthrough its so impotent in the mermail match-up. extra is great, personality I play starlige the rank 4 becuse I can summon it under Rivalry and Alucard, tho I want to cut it. Rota is amazing, its raiden, its jain if you need a 2100 and garoth if you have a lunima line, trasher is another way to get to lvl 4 if you need exciton or honnor ark and its searchable with rota. I have a love hater relationship with kuribandit, its a good card but its not good into combo because you have an open board, and its terrible when everyone are on HAT he cant resolve when you go second.
@@vpt3zl Hey, definitely some great points! Yeah knowing and gauging a local meta can be very important. For this I wanted to give a generalized profile based on recent topping lists as well as back in the day. I personally prefer Maxx c and mst in the side as they don't always benefit you in certain matchups (obviously can be said with a lot of cards tho) but imo I'd rather see engine game one and then more specifics after siding. I completely agree with the diabolos. I've gone back and forth with 1 or two and moving forward probably would cut 1. As for tempest vs tital as you mentioned have their benefits and lists have gone back and forth so I find that more player preferences. The rota line is actually really neat and something to consider 🤔 Haha I mentioned adding a second breakthrough skill so it seems great minds think alike! Appreciate you checking out the video and thanks again for the insight!

Card trooper synergizes really well, gives you room to play redox (which I prefer over a 2nd Diabolos) and can be summoned of debris
