Thanks for the video how much do yard jockeys make per hour are you making at least $25 an hour ? I've been told it's very demanding job usually 12 hours
Hey. So basically you have a CB Radio on you cab . They will radio you to put or pull trailers out of docks all day. Organized the yard prior to your duties

We used to use them for log trailers. No brakes, no lights, no chains, and tyres as bald as f*** on the trailers, (which were all bent and cracked to shit). For a company that has "Home Safely Every Day" on their shirts, kinda bullshit. Up to 40+ tonnes of logs per trailer, on wet and slippery surfaces - not exactly confidence inspiring...
@@JoeyDrones I was just curious about how bad the fumes are driving one of those all day I figured it was bad I had an offer to go drive one but I think I'll stack with my propane school bus driving job and save my lungs since I have asthma thankyou for the response.
Gotta interviews for a yard job this week. Better than delivering food up steps all day.

The shorter they are the horror it is you gonna be chasing them. Suggesting to you is due quarter turns short terns

Hey . You can search on Google. But some companies you are required to have your CDL some don’t depending on your home state .
Some companies don't require a CDL since you're only driving on the yard & will train you to get your CDL

Depends on the area but where I am, around $23 an hour.
I can’t find a video on any paper work that a yard driver has to do. I’m sure it’s more than writing a trailer numbers

Why do some yard dogs drive on public roads in my area ?
Those are the ones that require CDL. They probably move trailers for one yard to another.
