This was insanely helpful. I also have 2 boys and a husband that takes lunch to work. Aldi is my favorite and I've always wanted to start meal planning but didn't know where to begin, so thank you!
You’re a genius. This is just astounding to me. There’s no Aldi here in Sacramento, but there are discount grocery stores. I aspire to be as organized and creative as you are in this video. Thank you for the inspiration!
Love the way you do a shopping list super simple and you don’t even need a planner to do it I’m gonna start doing my shopping list this way it’s a great idea how do you put your meals on one side and only what you need to shop for on the other side saves a lot a lot of money thanks for the tip
Really liked your video. I love the idea of going checking to see what meats you have and then building your shopping list from there. I plan to try this approach, and the weekly grocery shopping routine. Thanks for sharing.
For a seasoning hack, go to the international isle in any of your stores! They have way cheaper spices and honestly I feel like they’re way more flavorful and fresh! Also the dollar stores have great brands as well especially if you need a small ingredient for one dinner!
❤️ALDI ! Shopped since I married, back in 92...., Raised by Aldi shopping parents... Both my siblings also are Aldi tried and true...... I’ve converted many! Great Haul! My kids love Kiev and rice dinners, and meatball subs are a super hearty meal before various sport and activity schedules...... lol, my now Eagle Scout, and collage senior...... Aldi man! Haha, his BS patrols often rescued other patrols, and fed many boys with their under budget meals and extras!! Is a great cook and meal planner too! Teach the kids! Loved your post!
Like I say every time I watch a meal planning video - I really need to start doing this! I've gotten better at it but not super organized. I am trying to get all our family to eat together at least 2x a week which has been a New Years resolution of mine that we're sticking to so far.
Loved your video! This is how I do my meal prep! Realized that I need to start again!!! Glad I'm not the only one that does it this way and here I am trying to find a better way and I think this is the right way for me. Thank you 🙏🏽
Aldi is our favorite too! Whenever I go anywhere else now it feels so expensive after shopping at Aldi for a while. And now I'm so curious about your pizza recipe for your personal pizzas (we do instant pot yogurt too)! Great video and it reminds me that I need to finish meal planning for the week today too! ❤️
it's so easy! It is equal parts plain greek yogurt and self rising flour! I usually do 1 cup of each, i make the self rising flour by putting 1 cup of flour with 1.5 tsp baking powder. the dough is really sticky but you can use it for almost anything, it kind of has a sour dough flavor to it. I made "bagels" with it and added some everything bagel seasoning to it and they were amazing! Bakes for about 20-25 minutes depending how thick!
I love Aldi, too! They have great products at really good prices! Thanks for sharing this video! I need to stay on budget, especially at this time of year! Recovering from Christmas, lol! ❤❤❤
Did you know that you can make your own self-rising flour? Add 1-1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp of salt to a cup of all purpose flour. It’s much less expensive than buying a bag of self-rising flour that you may not use before the Best Buy date.
New sub here!! I love your channel and I love the way you meal plan! I try to do that same method, but sometimes I get carried away. I'm trying to change that though. Thank you for the inspiration 😊😊
I only wish I had a good cheap grocery store where I live so groceries are always over my weekly budget sadly but meal prep definitely a great money saver.
Hey Claire I just found your channel and love it so far I absolutely love shopping at Aldi,I can't believe how cheap your groceries are over in the states I'm from Australia and I can buy eggs cheaper than at least $2.50 a dozen and your fruit and vegetables are always at good prices I'm sure we have things that are cheaper I'm just blown away 😊😊
That's crazy! I have had other Australians comment similar things about food prices, girl I can't imagine! You have to be next level creative to afford it! It impresses me actually lol!
I make the Greek yogurt pizza crusts at least once a week and we love it! I always have pizza ingredients on hand so we can throw those together on short notice.
I like shopping for the month bcuz honestly u can do the exact same thing like u r doing weekly ......that being said I enjoy watching videos like this 👍.....
I don't have aldi near me😔 so dollar tree is my option....but that cheese you showed us i buy for 1$🤗thank you so much for sharing your meal plan and grocery list....buying this way has saved me money 🙏🤗
Love love loveeee aldi!! We shop at aldis weekly as well and it’s definitely way cheaper than going to Walmart or somewhere else. I will forsure be trying your list idea it looks super helpful
I discovered that our Aldi stocks local eggs which makes them very cheap! The most expensive they get is around $1 a dozen! $3 would get you free range organic! It definitely just depends on where you live. Our produce is really expensive for most of the year because it's so cold here! Thanks so much for watching and taking time to comment!!!!
I have heard this from Australia before! That is crazy!!! Eggs are specifically cheap for us because Michigan is home to (I believe) the largest egg farm/distributor in the US. Eggs are cheap everywhere here!
Great ideas but couldn't u save more money by planning the open days around what is on sale and coupons in the Sunday paper or that come in the mail just a thought 🤔
I’ve found that Aldi has the best deals, and I’m not really willing to go to more than one grocery store. This definitely is good advice for those who shop at stores with name brands though!
I LOVE Aldi, but I really wish they would accept coupons for the stuff they sell that isn't their house brand..lol sorry but I love my coupons and want to use them everywhere 🙃 oh and GIRL!! Brinner is the BOMB!!! I have 3 males in my home and they will MOW THROUGH some biscuit, gravy, sausage and egg bowls!! Plus grits znd hash browns!!I can't cook the stuff fast enough!!! This video is great and I'm definitely gonna share it! Thank you for posting!!🤗

I love a lot of the stuff that you got. We make a kielbasa stew I’m not sure if I checked Aldi but Kroger brand that looked like that had some ingredients i didn’t want but I will check Aldis now. I am definitely a new subscriber! Btw we use kielbasa (usually the echrich so it may only need one pack of the Aldi depending on the weight) slice it into circles lol then cut it into quarters and 3 cans of New diced potatoes in the squares pour juice and all, 3 cans of green beans pour juice and all then eye season with salt, pepper, onion salt and garlic salt and let it cook in the crock pot. We love it. I like it with round crackers sometimes and some others with rolls or bread of some type. I’m not sure that it’s the healthiest but as much as I like it I’m still going to eat it.
Claire Risper it’s extremely easy and friends have asked for the recipe. It makes an amazing broth with the juices poured in and seasoning etc. it makes a full slow cooker. You might try it the first night without corn and then hopefully you would eat it a second night (because it makes a lot) and try the corn the next warm up. I may try adding some corn. If you try it with corn before I do let me know 💞
Great video and great job on your inexpensive yet appetizing meal choices. You have me wondering what's in the mac and cheese recipe and if it was worth the expense. May I make a suggestion to leave off the music when you are talking? It's distracting and makes listening more difficult.
The Mac wasn't very good, I never made the recipe again! I think some of the fast instant pot recipes are very overrated! I appreciate the feedback, I have gotten that a few times and I usually don't put music on these types of videos anymore, still working out what works the best! But I wouldn't know unless someone says something, so THANKS!
Im in southern Michigan myself and have an aldi around the blovk, would love to know where around here aldi offers the prices shes talking about lol Its cheap yes but not that cheap.

I was skeptic about AgogeDiet because I thought that I would have to eat only broccoli to lose weight. I am eating only food I like and still losing weight.
Well, my kids don't eat tacos. So my husband and I ate probably 4 tortillas for a taco dinner. My kids are toddlers so they each need one tortilla folded in half to make a quesadilla lunch. Which leaves 4 tortillas for my husbands burritos at lunch. This video was made a while ago so i don't remember exactly how the tortillas were distributed, but there are actually many ways you can divide 10 tortillas.
I tried going to Aldi and I was so excited to try it out. But now after trying 4 stores in 3 states I don’t know how anyone can stand shopping there. Every. Single. Location. Smells like rotten food and sweat socks. Every one. It’s disgusting. The stores were all so disorganized so I couldn’t find anything I needed. Apparently the cashiers don’t get paid enough to give a shit so they literally throw every single item into your cart before you have a chance to bag anything or get boxes. That place is not worth the stress of shopping there. I would rather spend the extra $1 and go to a store with actual quality ingredients.
They’re supposed to check the food out fast and everyone bags up their food after you leave the checkout. That’s the way it goes there. Sorry you’ve had such poor experiences. My Aldi here in Mankato, MN is amazing.
😆 I would but I sold this house a year ago! But honestly our new house has a traditional freezere instead of the side by side and it's WAY easier to clean
