I attended the ICAP post budget annual conference today. And in the online platform of questions/comments, one of them caught my eye. It was from a veteran chartered accountant. He said, 'I attended my first ICAP annual conference in 1986 and at that time the problems identified by the experts were low tax base, informal economy, taxing the already taxed, inefficient and ineffective state machinery. After 37 years, we have the same problems but no solutions '

I work from home and our whole company is working remotely and with only sim services and internet connection blockade our whole company was in shambles as we work in wfh mode… Internet should be one of basic rights of humans in this age… I never wanted to leave Pakistan but now seeing all want to move out ASAP.
One sad but funny consequence of the whole VPN saga is that Pakistanis probably messed up the ad algorithms of other countries as well. Suddenly a huge amount of traffic probably landed on the Singaporean servers which had no interest in buying their local products.
We are spending most of our budget in security and the good part is, when country need a security, we just turn off the internet 😂😂😂.
If you really think turning off internet is the only solution for security than I re think about our security budget.

Good point to raise, for any country. But on the note of lobby, Indian IT strength is because of our hardwork & not because there is an internet shutdown in Pakistan. It’s years of hardwork on ourselves, didn’t happen immediately after 9th May.

I am glad at least someone raised this issue. All influencers must take time to point this out. I am not a content developer, rather a viewer. But still believe it’s wrong to shut down internet countrywide.
Totally agree with you. Whatever your political views are, you cannot support mass blackout of internet connection in the country for a week. The people responsible for this decision have literally 0 idea of how their decisions are impacting the youth of today and tomorrow. Now that a message has been sent globally that the state switches off internet whenever it pleases, it will be astonishingly difficult to attract ANY kind of investments from overseas Pakistanis (which I am myself), let alone foreign investments. The most difficult task will be to regain the trust and confidence of Pakistanis in and around the world in the near future.
Not only internet blockage is necessary, removal of brain blockage of pti overseas Pakistanis is also necessary simuiltaneously, to fix this mess. When all PTi supporter brains are fixed, the problems will also be fixed automatically.

The entire digital gross economy of Pakistan is less than $2 BN, while Indian Gross digital and IT exports stands at $410 BN let alone domestic gross of Billions of dollars, yet somehow India needs to lobby to snatch mere $ 2BN out of which perhaps the exports are less than $1 BN, in formal economy. If a travelled, educated(perhaps by Pakistani standards) is so delusional, then just imagine the state of general public, studying in Sindh Board, or Madrassa, you cant expect much rationality then.

Bhai the things you are saying 'nuqsaan' are actually success for them, seriously. I used to think that we had less professional people or some training was required, but no we have everything but the governing bodies of all type in all colors are actually the problem of Pakistan. It is unfortunate but it really looks like this is never ending, I used to be so so so optimistic since I was a kid but I have lost all of that optimism, I have lived most of my life outside of Pakistan and due to recent events I get conversations that I cannot defend anymore or actually I myself feel like there is nothing to defend anymore.

I am working in a software company and I work from home in my village on 9th may blackout I had to get 2 days leave due to internet blockage and on the third I had to go the city to use wifi to complete my weekend work
Sir with due respect, please ask your team to put some effort on the video editing and mainly the background music. The music is too high then your voice and also not motivative or even sad or guilt producing, and in the start of video when some of screen shots are shown, filter is very badly apply on it.
