- Hi guys, I hope you find this upload useful. I always railroad the top leg of my stitch when I'm stitching with two threads and also always both legs when I'm working with white thread. This always seems to make my stitches look much neater and more uniformed. xx

Thanks so much for watching! ❤️❤️ - Навчання та стиль
I've been doing cross stitch for years but until recently haven't known any of the terms for the different techniques. But now, with youtubers like yourself, im learning not just the terms but really useful tips, tricks and hints. I had been railroading (taught myself that one because im a bit of a neat freak) but always looped underneath. Now I know how to loop from the top, thank you! Great vid, great explanation...tyfs 😊
You are very right about DMC white floss...without railroading it looks terrible! Thanks for your video.
Hi Lisa, ever since i discovered railroading i have done both legs of my stitches like this, takes more time but like you say, you get much neater stitches. I also let my needle 'hang' every so often so that the thread un-twists. Thanks for sharing :-)
Great tutorial Lisa. You also taught me how to do the loop method from the top, I usually flip. I've seen other video's but there always too far away. Brilliant thank you. Have a good stitchy week☺
I have just finished binge watching every one of your episodes. I love watching you stitch I find it really relaxing, I have just bought my first haed and mirabilia, I'm in the process of kitting them up, keep posting
Thanks for the video - it really helped me
yes i see this method faster and easier than using a laying tool 👍 thank you 💕
Great tip, thanks!
Loved this quick video. Your stitches looked and laid very pretty.
That is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing that tidbit of information!
Hi! I like your railroading technique. My stitches do lay nicer. I am doing the top and bottom stitches. Although linen is often uneven threads and not possible to get as neat.
I started trying out the railroading technique and I’m impressed on how well its works. Thanks for your tutorial.
I’m glad you found it useful Patty! Xx
Hi Lisa! Thank you for sharing this is useful I will try this method....
Thank you so much. I’m going to try that tomorrow.
Thanks. That helped immensely ❤️
So helpful - thank you!
Great tip 😊
Thanks lisa great video 👍
Thanks for taking the trouble to do this video. Railroading is very effective
Thank you so much for this tip. I am working on the roses for the memorabilia collection and her dress is mostly in white
I hope it works for you! Xx
Really neat. Thank you
Thanks Lisa
Great video. Sometimes I find the thread doesn't split very easy.
Hi Lisa Haven't seen you around in ages. Hope all is well? Than you so much for this video. I find the primary colours of floss always seem to lay sort of nice for me, but somehow all the lights of DMC lay terribly, ESPECIALLY white. Do you ever use a laying tool. Could you please tell me if it would be worth it to get one? (I know this video was 1 1/2 years ago, but still informative, nonetheless.) I say the light flosses lay terribly, but I also find the lights split and pull apart, like a weak yarn. Maybe I should graduate to silk??? Twice as expensive though. Hope you're having a nice summer and virtual hugs from Canada.
