    Great video! I recently did the throttle linkage bushings on the black bar that connects the pedal to the cable, but not the grommet you replaced so I'll order that soon. Thank you for posting the part numbers!

    Great video, informative, well filmed and well explained. Thanks for uploading. Like the shot of the two e34s side by side, one with narrow kidney grille and one with later wider kidney grille. They both look so purposeful and classy.

    Great videos....glad I found your channel. I have a 1993 520i manual wagon.
    I love doing my own maintenance and repairs. However sometimes when searching for parts, the 520i model does not appear and I only have the 525i model. Everything else shows but mine is the 520i 2.0 24V 110kw/150hp model. I went ahead and ordered the hood and rear hatch lift struts. I hope they fit!
    My reverse light stopped working and I see on some forums that it may be the reverse light switch located on the transmission. Have you come across this issue?

    Thank you for second video 🙏 My fan speed only works on last step and I remeber checking that resistor but I couldn't find it 😅 (I was in hurry, maybe I couldn't saw it) My 92 E34 has something called IHKA ac system and maybe it has a different resistor I'm not sure but I'll check that resistor again

    • @MikeBMW
      @MikeBMW Рік тому +2

      You have the "sword" resistor. It's next to the glove box opening once you remove it.
      I've had 2 1990 e34s and a 1990 750iL. Both the same.
      Currently own a 1990 e34 535i - no cabin filter and the "sword" resistor for the fan control.

  • @brianaust8897
    @brianaust8897 Рік тому +3

    I’m surprised no one yet has mentioned that the cheap versions of the new fuel door clips just will not work. You want to spend the 30-40$ (not sure these days, it has been a few years ) on the real BMW model. I’m sure many are lucky with the aftermarket ones, but I know many many others who have had them not work. They just don’t line up perfectly and allow it to stay locked in
    Great video!

    • @MyersMotors
      @MyersMotors  Рік тому +2

      You're right, and I did fail to mention that. From my research, that's definitely the case with all the no name china specials on eBay and Amazon. This Vaico branded part definitely worked perfectly though, and from what I can tell is indistinguishable in design and quality from the genuine part. Thanks!

    Yeah my e34 540i 4 window regulators are not working hopefully you could make a video of it.

    • @MyersMotors
      @MyersMotors  Рік тому +1

      Not a problem I've run into yet, but will definitely turn into a video when I do. You say all 4 windows aren't working? How about the sunroof as well? If nothing is working it's likely the general module under the rear seat that's the issue.

    • @chicomaxima1
      @chicomaxima1 Рік тому

      They do struggle to go up. The problem is how to get access to the rear regulator.

    I have a problem with my e34 concern the same part you've mentioned in the video, and its the same problem with my brother's one .
    Sometimes the fan works without switch it on 🤷 . How can i fix it

    • @MyersMotors
      @MyersMotors  Рік тому

      That's odd. I'd definitely check some forums for that. Might be as simple as the knob itself failing, or it could be a wiring issue somewhere. I've never experienced that myself, but I'm sure there are others who have online. Good luck!

  • @patrizzyjames9488
    @patrizzyjames9488 Рік тому +1

    Would you recommend an e34 to someone who has no prior knowledge/experience fixing up cars? Would it be easy or do-able to maintain it for someone with no mechanical background?

    • @MyersMotors
      @MyersMotors  Рік тому

      Absolutely! I started with Subarus and these are so much more reliable and easy to work on. Definitely a great car to learn on. Granted, as with any car, I would recommend taking the time to find one that's been well maintained to reduce the number of issues that pop up, otherwise you'll likely get overwhelmed.

    Can the blow motor resistors make noise when you running a/c

    • @MyersMotors
      @MyersMotors  6 місяців тому

      I can't imagine any circumstances that it would. It's more likely that there is debris somewhere in the system that's causing noise, most likely in the resistor/cabin air filter cavity.
