May I recommend using a plastic putty knife on any type glass. Metal putty knives scratch glass, unless that's what look you're going for. Also, you made the comment that metallic paints don't spray very well. They do if you know how to spay.. use nice long slow back and forth strokes to put it on evenly for the nice even look. The spurts and droplets come from not shaking it enough before use and durning use. Metallic paints take more shaking than non Metallic paints due to the metallic flakes being heavier then the paint causing constant settling ... Love your project.. great outcome!
