That’s an incredible moment! It’s amazing (and a bit terrifying) to see how some drivers can act so recklessly, especially in hazardous conditions. It really highlights the importance of awareness and common sense on the road. Sometimes it feels like people forget the risks involved and make decisions that seem completely irrational. Have you seen other jaw-dropping driving moments that made you wonder about people’s decision-making?

Absolutely, people in mountainous regions often have a deep, generational understanding of weather patterns. They’ve learned to recognize the signs of impending rain or storms based on experience and observation. It’s fascinating how this knowledge is passed down and how it shapes their response to natural events. Do you have any stories or insights about how local knowledge and traditions play a role in weather prediction or disaster preparedness?

Water weighs 8.3 pounds per gallon. Millions of gallons weigh hundreds of tons. People don't realize this.

Sitting here watching the flood rescue and shaking my head - the guy is tying the rope on seemingly oblivious that if the other vehicle slips and gets washed away the frigging thing is going to wash straight over the top of him. But they survived, so I guess it classifies as 'gutsy' rather than 'stupid af'

Never casually stroll on river bed. If you ever want to walk, you should be very alert for flash flood, and if notice any water, run as fast as you can to safety. If you can't escape within 2 to 3 minutes, 99 % chances you will be trapped and pulled away in the flood...
