I love lottie, she’s such an underrated character. She always supported tiana and respected her wishes of earning the money by herself, gave up her dreams of becoming a princess just so her best friend could be happy and was never bitter or resentful about it. Also, considering when this takes place of, an upper class white woman being best friends with a lower/middle class black woman would’ve been so looked down on, it was interesting to see their dynamics. She was spoiled but she wasn’t snobby or a typical mean girl, it’s so refreshing to see imo
First time I saw this I was afraid she was gonna betray Tia towards the end, cuz that was the kind of "twist" that was popular at the time and a typical trope of women's relationships, but it was refreshing to see women supporting women as cheezy as that sounds lol
Honestly I ship Lottie and Tiana. I feel like they would make a much better couple than Tiana and the prince. I never liked the prince at all. I never liked how arrogant and entitled he was, I never really believe that he learned his lesson or changed. I think Lottie and Tiana are couples goals. To be fair I'm the type of girl that doesn't find that type of arrogant personality in men attractive at all. It instantly makes the most physically attractive man repulsive to me. Idk what it is but they always seem so insincere and like they're so in love with themselves they could never possibly love anyone else. It's a really selfish personality type. You can tell Lottie and Tiana really love each other and care about each other.

My heart cannot handle Ray and Evangeline's story....it gets me every single time. Lottie is also a favorite of mine, she's a product of her environment, but she has such a sweet heart for her friend!

"Big Daddy" is an old southern thing. I was usually reserved for nice wealthy men known for looking after not only his own kids but the kids of the servants or poorer local kids.
And frog's legs are amazing! They taste like chicken.
Why even Blanche on the Golden Girls called her father Big Daddy. It's just the proper thing good southern girl do. Now Big Momma, not so much.
Also gator is just as good.🐊

I love how Naveen knew where to draw the line between harmless fun and an agreement. Before Naveen shakes his hand, he's very uncertain. He only shankes after Laurence his guide and confidant does. He does listen to Lawrence and depends on him for guidence. He just messed up

Haha I’m a southerner and “big daddy” isn’t the most common thing, but if you’ve got a fat/big father who’s rich there’s like a 50/50 chance you’ll call him that at some point lol. It’s more common with older generations, which is why it’s in the movie I guess lol
I live on the border of Mississippi right next to Louisiana though, so this may just be common in Mississippi and Louisiana

Hey Alex love your videos I do like this movie but the only issue I had was how they wrote Tiana working middle-class black women from New Orleans go with her friend she's a rich person with a rich family background those the only issue I had but overall she does get what she wants in the end mine doesn't solve everything. Everybody's going to come from a rich family background you have to actually get off your ass and put in the hard work to get what you want in life I think that's the lesson that is taught in this movie

The original tale/s actually were pretty brutal lol! One had the princess having to decapitate the frog instead of kissing. Another had the princess throw the frog at the wall instead of kissing.

I highly recommend Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame 1996
In the original version of the 'Frog Prince' fairy tale, the frog was actually thrown into a wall by the princess, and then turned back into a prince. For some reason, the kissing version became much more known.
