The more descriptions are hear of Omaha Beach the more I believe and appreciate the miracle of this battle. THANK YOU to all who served.

Why is this titled "In the Footsteps of Patton?" Patton was in charge of the Ghost Army in South East England and did not participate in the D Day landings

Very true. However, the historian never mentions Patton in this clip. He is discussing the action that brought the United States and, eventually, Patton to western Europe. Omaha Beach and the National Cemetery at Normandy were simply important stops on a remarkable "In The Footsteps of Patton" tour … to set the stage for days 2-9 which are very much about Patton.

I was at Vierville Sur Mer last October, 2018. Stayed in trailer home on cliff just above Charlie and Dog Green Sector. Aside from the restaurant at the Vierville Draw not much looks the same. Is this definitely from 2010? Where is the pier on the beach and the huge concrete flat it rested on?

"In the Footsteps of Patton?"; title is mis-leading. I'm pretty sure Patton and his ghost army (which was a big decoy for the Germans) did not participate in Omaha's 'Dog Green' sector ( 116th Infantry of the 29th “Blue & Grey” division landed in Dog Green, Vierville Draw...I believe). For marketing purposes I guess this guy decided to put "Patton" in the title to draw the eyes? Kind of like films that have titles that have nothing to do with the film's plot.

+3BALL4 saving private ryan is a pretty decent replica of dog green, i mean they werent aloud to use the actual beach, but it looks realistic, dont know what the other guy that replied to you said...

A lot of bunkers, fortifications and pill boxes etc were destroyed/removed after the war. There is at least 3 pill boxes/machine gun bunkers on Dog Green. The best place to go for this type of thing is Pointe Du Hoc, non have been removed. Actually there's a fair few bunkers below the American cemetery on Red Sector, the biggest bunker is on Sword Beach and has been turned into a museum

Those "bunkers" in Saving Private Ryan were never there.

3BALL4 there was never any bunkers of type in saving private Ryan at omaha beach. Most were smaller concrete anti tank and machine gun ones also a lot to emplacements of sand bags and slit trenches. the road you see leading off beach up hill was where there was a concrete wall blocking easy passage for tanks etc
