So because they tried separating ppl for so many years, it caused conflicts between different ethnic groups and tribes. In 2005 the people living in the south voted for a own country since the government was only focusing on the North part mostly. And southerners wanted to make their own decisions.
Its still kinde f-upp since there is ppl living in the border of the two countries and they’re not claimed by neither 🇸🇸🇸🇩
