Q&A: What advice would you give to Scarlett if she choses to become a professional footballer? Trainings, gym workouts, signing her first contract, choosing football teams etc.
@@setubane8387 Exactly! She probably hasn't kicked a soccer ball yet. And there's absolutely no reason to talk about professional soccer for someone who's literally still a baby. I'm sure she'll find out before age 14 what the FIFA World Cup is (unlike her father, who only found out at that age), but Scarlette should have her childhood before dealing with any soccer stuff.
@@dansugardude2655yea exactly. Why do people assume that Scarlet who is still a baby will want to be a professional soccer player. And if she does, she’ll have Matt by her side with tons of experience who is just going to teach her everything that he has taught us on this channel.
He said in this video hes flying back to Hartford Conneticut on December 31st, and spoke multiple times about needing to be ready for the preseason tour in Februrary@@EmilyRay-m9e.
@@EmilyRay-m9e Now I don't know if or when he'll make a video where he formally announces it. Hartford haven't formally announced it yet either, so I don't know if they're planning to or not. But hey at least he found another job for the year and gets to stay with the same team as before. No Hoppenot this year apparently.
I really enjoy how matt show people really important things in football like : diet , exercise , match analyse and more . This man loves football and you can see it
To the gentleman in the grey shirt, your step-overs seem to be only utilizing your lower body. From my perspective it seems as if it’s not giving the illusion that you may be going right or left. As your right foot goes around the ball your left shoulder should slightly drop as the right moves upward giving the impression you’re committing to that side. Or more so selling the step over in a more effective way.
Q&A : Would you rather sign for a really good team where you get a chance at winning the league, a little bit more money, but very little playing time maybe a few mins a game. Or would you rather sign for bottom of the table team, make about the same as you make now or a little less, but get to play every game? Would be great to get your insight and break down on this now that you have a family and getting older. Love the videos dude!
Great vid! Constructive critique: when you turn, try not to stopp the ball “dead”. Try to keep some movement of the ball, that makes the passing movement afterwards more natural. Greetings from Germany
He has talked about it and he does not do it. He just finds it boring and does most of his cardio work with a ball. I personally think it is great if you enjoy it.
I almost never do Zone 2 Training honestly. It's great for heart health, long distance endurance work, and can be good for footballers to do at times like when just starting to build a base, but it's not super functional for high level footballers. You mainly want to focus on HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). It's much more applicable to the game and translates way more to the field. Every fitness test I've ever done at the professional level is HIIT style and all the fitness that we do in preseason and in season is HIIT as well. So I have gone on long runs in the past, but I don't really enjoy it, I don't think it's the best way to prepare for a professional preseason, and I don't think it helps me get match fit as much as these style fitness sessions.
I love your willingness to put in the work even after so many years in the league ! Your quality on the field and off the field is really consistent 🙏 huge respect brother 💪💯
Q&A: Should I quit playing if I’m 18 senior in high school? and I’m going to play high school this year and also trying out for semi pro next month and planning on playing juco after. I’m really good but the mistake I made was not playing academy earlier on.
Could you do a match analysis video with a twist ? Would love to see either a player or manager in a higher tier league do your match analysis to see what it would take to make it to the next level tier league.
No. You need connections and build your way up properly in the football system. There's millions of Brazilian kids playing Futsal day in day out. Doesn't mean any of them make it. If you're not an actual football setting with proper match game experience, coaching, and ladder ranks you'll never ever make it. While you're playing patty cake Futsal there's kids 9-13 year olds already signed in professionals academies playing in front of scouts who are there to offer better contracts. By 16-18 years they're already made it to the bench of teams playing in the champions league. Meanwhile you're still playing Futsal throughout all that time 💀
Did you officially re-sign with Hartford or are you trialing with them under the new coach during pre-season? I haven't seen an announcement from them or you about officially signing, but noticed you mentioned pre-season with them in this video.
Q&A: how much individual work do you do during season, if any? How do you balance continually trying to gain an advantage over other players without overdoing it?
It's a showcase type event. An agency usually invites 50-100 players for them to play 11v11 games in front of professional coaches, scouts, and agents. Most of the time they cost money to play in, but if you perform well there's a chance that you can get an opportunity with one of the clubs or an opportunity to be represented by one of the agents.
Awesome video Matt. I'm so glad to hear you are coming back for another season at Hartford Athletic. My God, you daughter Scarlett is so cute. I can't believe she is already walking and beginning to talk.
Q&A: What advice would you give to Scarlett if she choses to become a professional footballer? Trainings, gym workouts, signing her first contract, choosing football teams etc.
Probably all the same advice that he’s given in his many videos already
I think Scarlett has a little time
She’s way too young for that question to arise anytime soon.

Blue and yellow cones are that high vibrational combination. Diggin' it
Those are two great color choices for his training!
Congrats on re-signing at Hartford!
How do you know that? I was just scrolling through the comments to see if he has found a club for the 2024 season

Q&A: Since Scarlett is walking, is it not too early to have her kicking around a soccer ball if u wanna have her be a world class footballer?

What does Cut mean?
When we shouted "Cut" it was an instruction to take your touch inside, cutting towards goal before hitting firing at the mini goal
