I have used the 304 for 40 years. Never failed. Dose not need batteries. A rule of thumb is that you reload in a controlled environment. Temperature and humidity should be pretty constant
Very true! I've had my Ohaus Dial-O-Grain, 3100, since around 1972, or so. If you have Central Air with ceiling outlets, you'll want to turn-off the AC, until your powder measurements are finished, otherwise those minute air currents will affect your beam movement. After nearly 50 years with my "Dial-O-Grain" , I can't imagine being without it.
I picked up a Dial-O-Grain 3100 which has an even higher capacity. Do you know if there is an online tutorial on how to clean the agates on these? I'm not very satisfied with the consistency of zero.
@@joeythompson8775 well, I didn't find any tutorial but did carefully disassemble it. You have to be pretty careful with what you're doing, especially with that clockspring assembly.
Just purchased this in great condition.Thank you for the video it was helpful.

Great video, I’m new to reloading and I bought a estate with a 304 in it to add to my reloading
My dad bought me the Oahu’s for Christmas in 1976. It cost about $90 back then, very expensive.
Incredible, my dad never bought me an island in Hawaii. You are one lucky guy. :D
Thanks
I have the 304 scale but have no idea what the two different heights of hooks on the hanger are for

Did you have any luck on your search? I also have a 3100 that looks like it needs a tiny bit of work
