✅ Fixed: KOBO Glo HD 🔥 micro USB repair 🔥 Repair without money
As you can see, the E-book e reader does not turn on and does not charge, after disassembly we found that the Micro USB socket was torn from the tin. I solder very finely under a magnifying glass with a very small soldering iron which is wireless and does a perfect job. After I took it off and it charged the battery turned on and worked perfectly.

Hey, I have a problem that the customers kobo is stuck on sleep, the power and reset button also damaged. Do you know a fix for this? I’ve tried opening it disconnecting/reconnecting cables but as a beginner I have a hard time figuring it out myself
When you would have used soldering flux for printed circuit boards, you would avoid the mess that you needed to clean with the desolder wire. Soldering flux stuff works really well.
Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind!!
I fixed one zith the same problem, given to me to look if it's fixable, thanks for this video and guiding on the teardown of the battery plugs and screens connectors
Hey do you have a link to the USB you used? I tried a couple from Digikey but none of them fit. Thanks!
Would it fit an USB-C port?
Молодец!
Thanks
Hi, I have a problem with charging my Kobo Glo HD. It was charging with 5V and 0.12A and it stopped. When I reconnected the charger do Kobo it stops working (it works with different devices). Usb port is in perfect condition. Tested different cables to. There is resistance of 100 Ohms between VCC and GND on usb port pins. Any suggestions what to check would be appreciated.
Which solder do you use?
Hi guys...Does anyone know the usb conector model? I need to buy a replacement, 2 of the pins are gone
merci, je crois que c'est la solution.
Is it lead free soldering tin?
Hey do you have the link to the USB you bought? I tried a couple and none of them fit. Thanks!
me too please, Does anyone know the usb conector model?
What do you use the copper cable for?
If you mean the cable at 7:40, it's a desolder cable. And if I'm right (I'm new to soldering so I'm not 100% sure about the use) it's used to to take some tin away. For example, if you used too much tin.
@@stanleyvandenbos That's right. It uses capillary action to soak up the excess solder.
If we don’t have metal melting to hold it together, will krazy glue do?
Ну ты пайщик конечно )) Тебе только чайники паять))
