This is the first ever Dreaming Spanish advanced videos.
This is one of 2 initial tests for advanced videos.
Based on the feedback, we are planning on refining the format for advanced videos based on what will be more useful for people to get that final push to their level of Spanish.
In this video, Pablo speaks faster than in intermediate videos, and uses slang, while trying to keep the pronunciation clear.

Well. This was my first Advanced video. I followed it pretty well, but I needed to put on my seatbelt. I am looking forward to the next couple hundred Advanced ones. I expect that I will listen to the first few twice to get used to the speed. I look forward with pleasure to your collection.

Great idea, Pablo. I myself have been wondering when you'll take it to another level). Before watching the video I was a little apprehensive but, to my surprise, I got the gist of the video and then some. Personally, it's me watching Friends in Spanish that did the trick (I'm now on the 4th season and, although, when I started, it was difficult to parce out the words, I'm feeling more and more confident)

This isn't a negative comment even though it may sound as such.
It is cool to gauge your level of understanding of a language not only by understanding the vocab and grammar but when you notice when a speaker misspoke and you can correct the mistake. Dreaming Spanish has helped my listening and learning skills exponentially! Thank you again for all of your work. ♡♡
You should also take into account sometimes the speaker isn’t actually making a mistake and they may be using a part of the grammar that you have not yet acquired

¡Hola Pablo! So after watching all three videos I would rank them in terms of difficulty from easiest to understand to most difficult of 3, 1, 2. The slurred speech definitely added an extra level of difficulty that I quite honestly just couldn't keep up with. I would catch bits and pieces of the dialogue but couldn't really tell you the overall story if I had to. I would probably self report a level of understanding while listening to Spanish at intermediate. I can usually follow along without too much difficulty on your daily intermediate videos.
I think I agree with the sentiments of A.A. Lux and Patrick that the third video certainly feels like an "intro to advanced" vibe. However that being said, the material you are talking about, Casa de Papel, is certainly one of the most advanced pieces of Spanish film I have watched to date personally.

El momento de este nivel de video es muy oportuno para mi, por que estoy en Sudamerica ahora. Nivel intermedio me ha ayudado mucho, y este nivel es como las conversaciones que tengo con la gente aqui. Ahora, si solo puedo acostumbrarme con el acento de aqui.... :)

Es un video muy interesante. estudio el idioma y mi español es de nivel intermedio, pero entiendo todo lo que se dice en este video, aunque se habla a velocidad normal. ¡Más vídeos, por favor!
Escucharía a todos los formatos, porque creo que todos mejorarían mi español. Puedo entender el tercero el mejor con sus dibujos, pero solo puedo entender la programa con subtítulos (en español, por supuesto). El primero formato es el mas difícil para mi. ¡Buen trabajo!

These are excellent! I agree with A.A. Lux--maybe "advanced" (clear) and "native-like" (more natural) or something but I like both formats.

I like both the 1st and 2nd format. They are a natural progression. I think you should make an "early advanced" format with video 1 style and a "more advanced" format with video 2 style. Thank you for making these! I think they will be a great addition to Dreaming Spanish.

I understood the overall idea of this video. Basically, the video speaks of several complications of meeting friends in Spain, which range from arriving late to the train, to wanting to pay for a restaurant bill in different ways, to having people who cannot give out precise directions, and to dealing with people who get a little too tipsy, lol.
I'm surprised I was able to understand quite a bit, though not everything. Still, I understood like 90% of the words in this video, but I was only able to understand 75% of the content. I guess just understanding the words isn't enough to understand the idea. XD
Still, I did pretty well, and I've only listened to two intermediate videos. Most of the videos I listened to are superbeginner and beginner, which are pretty easy to understand. One of the intermediate videos I watched was also fairly easy, but I was struggling somewhat with the other one.
I shouldn't be so surprised. I've been doing about a year and a half of just listening after I abandoned the grammar exercises. I've even increased my daily listening time to 2 or even 3 hours recently! I'm glad to see that it's all starting to pay off. I still have a bit of work to do because there are some Spanish conversations, shows, and songs that I still can't understand. XD
I just wish I'd started much earlier, considering that my first Spanish class in high school as a freshman was about 11 years ago. Better late than never, I suppose....
Now to try your other video with less clear pronunciation. I hope I do well! If not, I'll just start watching the intermediate videos. Good luck to me!
EDIT: After reading some of the comments, I realized that you used a few cuss words in your video. I thought I heard a few, but I wasn't sure until after I read the comments. XD
I understood, I could re-tell the story in English but if I had to re-tell the story in Spanish, I would be totally lost. :D
That's totally normal! Our understanding is always ahead of our output, even for native speakers.
Hola Pablo, creo que estoy en nivel intermedio pero puedo comprender este video. Estás hablando en un comprensibe de velocidad. Las expresiones tampoco son demasiado difíciles de entender.
Do you think you could make a very advance/native-like level? Like videos of natural native to native discourse? Kind of like a podcast but more structured like your videos.
This is kind of the goal with the advanced videos. I try to speak naturally with the only thing that makes them easier to understand being that I stick to a particular topic. How would the videos you suggest be different from these?

To report my experience, I watched about maybe 100 videos of yours, half beginner, half intermediate, often at 1.25 speed, and I can understand 80-100%, as in I understand the words, most of the meaning and if necessary I can transcribe them.
But with this one, I feel I get maybe 50%. I may have a very rough idea of what you said, however some sentences just come out so fast with new words that I just feel inundated.
Not to sway you one way or another, just providing you one more data point.

Is this the Spanish(Spain) dialect? I've noticed a few unfamiliar words that you wouldn't hear in Latin America. For instance, "ponte" I never heard of that word until now.
