Avalon - Emmanuel Tour (1996)

"Angels We Have Heard On High" performed by Avalon on the 1996 multi-artist Christmas tour, Emmanuel.
This christmas hymn was the very first song we ever heard from Avalon. They first performed it on the 1995 Farewell Young Messiah Tour, but at that time, two of the eventual 4 band mates had not signed with Sparrow Records.
By christmas 1996, Norman Miller (mastermind of huge christian multi-artist tours such as Young Messiah) produced a new holiday tour called Emmanuel. It was on this tour that the Avalon foursome of Michael, Janna, Jody, & Nikki performed this song.
They would later record an updated arrangement of the hymn on their christmas album Joy with Cherie Paliotta as the soprano.

Wow, takes me back. I got to sing in the choir for the Peoria IL. portion of the tour. I thought it was such a big deal lol. What a night that was. Avalon was amazing!
