there's probably a good psych study that could be made around how many hermits see a ravenger in the room with their artifact and then spend the next 5 min looking everywhere else, just hoping it's not in the room with the beastie.
OMG, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. The compass needle is pointing that way, but there is a ravager over there so I'm going to go look somewhere else. xD Terror makes people do irrational things, but it's still really fun to watch!
It's funny that she struggled with the compass cause Tango was saying she's crazy the whole time and didn't think there were any artifacts there, and then she got it and he's like "HUH!?!?"
What's even funnier is that's the SECOND time he's forgotten that particular artifact spot exists 😂

I loved that 😂 all of us who had watched iskall’s episode before the stream were like “…buddy, I promise you, you put a loadstone there.”
To be fair, there are 80 artifact locations throughout the entire dungeon.
@@monatae9725 I'm pretty sure he's forgotten about that artifact spot more than twice. Which is funny, because that seems like one of the more memorable spots in the first level. most of them are just like a random spot along one of the tunnels, or the corner of a random crypt room. You'd think "at the bottom of the ice ravine" would be memorable.

Unedited runs are perfect to have that thrilling rollercoaster ride type experience. Till the very end, you feel like "Are they going to escape or not?"
To Cleo's credit, their one of the only hermits to escape on their first try.
In spite of panicked terror, pretty good survival rate too!
Etho survived his first attempt, and I want to say there was one other (Hypno, maybe?). If you haven’, you should definitely watch Tango's vod from Saturday.

Well, I know for certain that cleo plays D&d. I think I rememer her mentioning once that Critical Role just isn't for her.
On run 4 Cleo somehow found the wrong compass drop off point at 18:27. Earlier in the run Cleo passed the correct spot to the right in the ice tunnel at 14:43, pointing to the outer wall of the level one dungeon.

I would LOVE to see more raw cuts of unedited runs! Even if they’re on your second channel, and even if you don’t think they’re particularly interesting, I will gobble down any decked out content I can get my greedy little hands on 😁

Most Hermits show off 2 or 3 runs in a video and Cleo does 7! That's prime.

The games in this season are so awesome! Loved watching Tango's reactions in his stream and watching the hermits' reactions are just as good!

18:27 You can see it's not the right location because the compass will always point to the center of the block, thus spin very rapidly when you're there

It does seem to not be a commonly used item.
And then we have Pearl who knows how to use the compass and just throws it at the correct location in 1 or 2 tries.

I love how Tango thought you were crazy for thinking the artifact is in the ravine but he just forgot that there was anything there in the first place. Fun and entertaining as always!

Also gotta say: this format of all the runs in one video is absolutely killer.
I assume you know this by now but if not, please take careful note that you don't just chuck the compass in the vague direction it points, you find the singular block in which is swaps the direction it points while you walk in a straight line over the block.
Making a map of the dungeon is a great idea and will give you an advantage for sure. Pulling for you, Cleo.

I was on Tango’s stream watching her jump over the ravine a lot of times. The funniest part was that tango forgot he put a compass there. So the entire stream thought cleo was going insane😂😂. Love your content Cleo❤

The funnier part is that this wasn't the first time he had forgotten that spot. He already forgot it during one of the Zedaph test streams.

Thoroughly entertaining as always Cleo! Tango (or someone else) should really make a compass training area with multiple floors and rooms. Until a person understands the compass system too much of their brain power is spent on the compass instead of their surroundings. They'll be at a disadvantage until they get the light bulb moment of understanding. I'm sure you have experienced that a lot with teaching. You were right there with run 4 and things may have ended differently.

Great Runs, Cleo! Decked Out is so exciting to watch. I can't imagine how incredible it is to play!
You had a lot of Frost Embers dropping in the dungeon around you. Of course you were focused on other things, but remember that the "toot" sound that plays indicates that a frost ember has been released nearby. If you're able, take some time to look around for them. You can hear the sound at 24:27!
And of course, the small chiming bells dinging means treasure has been released nearby! Look around for those too! You want to get the most of your Treasure Hunter cards!

Cleo didn't have any frost ember cards in their deck, so the toot you pointed out was a false positive. Unlike treasure, frost embers don't drop unless you play a card that triggers them.
Unfortunately, there's one flute note block hidden somewhere in the redstone spaghetti outside the crypt that's been going off at random intervals for weeks, and Tango can't find it. 😢
My heart was racing in sympathy! Every Ravenger jump scared me!
Runs 5 and 6 were so tragic! It's awesome to see you having fun with these and I can't wait to see more! I hope you get a good artifact that lets you buy one of the pop-up cards, that would be so cool. We're rooting for you in your future attempts!
How do none of the Hermits not know how a compass works?
I think a lot of them are turning rapidly and confusing the compass fixing that for the compass flipping when they walk over the dropoff point.
The other problem is they need to throw the compass down at the block they are standing on and not forwards at the adjacent blocks. (Scar is the prime example of this)
I think also a lot of it is just how often do any of them even need to use a compass in normal Minecraft? Regular compasses just point to world spawn, and lode stones are pricy and niche in use. So the odds of most players having more than a passing knowledge of finding an exact point with them is pretty small
@@jasonreed7522 Well Cleo is also a prime example of that. At least Scar stays and tries till he gets the block. At 21:50 Cleo throws the compass in front of her two times, then leaves, when she was actually in the right place.
Love her, but compass handling is not her forte.
It is a matter of 'Game Sense.' Some people have really great 'Game Sense' - that is the ability to quickly take on new mechanics and use them as intended. A key trait of those with great 'Game Sense' is a good sense of spatial memory. Another trait is the ability to have a feel for what the game is trying to get you to do. Someone like Etho, Hypno, Cub and Gem seem to have great 'Game Sense.' Whilst Iskall, Cleo and Joe are examples of people who may struggle with 'Game Sense.'
I've NEVER seen anyone escape from so many ravagers in decked out in a row! GG Cleo!
(Also I thought the same thing about the campfire at the mincart ride into decked out)

The repair kit is most likely more valuable than people realize, either open shortcuts back to the start or repair hazard doors....

Congrats on winning your first run! I hope you can go and hear Tango’s commentary especially the part where you were going down the ravine to find your compass. He was giving you grief but he apparently had forgotten that spot. He did apologize. 😂 You had some great runs and some crappy runs. Overall you’ve been pretty smart and learning fast. Example of you being smart is you chose to go the easy path in to the right when most Hermits are going in that water with the drip stone and magma cube! They almost drown. They take a bit of damage at the beginning. We in Tango’s chat were observing that most favored the harder path but not you! 😊 Enjoy many more runs. Please remember to see and read the Lore of the artifacts. It’s fun playing which artifact belongs to which Hermit. Can’t wait until you see yours.

The 5th run’s compass skills were interesting, but even runs like that can help with figuring out the hallways and paths and map.
Yeah, she literally passed right over it thinking it would be a block closer to the wall but no, it was in the middle😂
Honestly, some glass blocks in front of the display cards should be enough to know that you shouldnt throw the frost embers.
That or just make thw shulkers visable.

Run five you found the spot in the TNT room but you threw your compass beside the square. You can tell your heart rate is up while playing and the pressure of the game. So much fun to watch and see this amazing game Tango built! Thanks for posting your runs!

I would love more unedited runs, the suspense is amazing with the sound design. Especially as hermits delve deeper into the dungeon. I watched Tango build decked out and I still don't have a complete mental map of level 2 yet.
