MAGLAM LORD (Early Gameplay) - with Commentary (Read Description!)

I wanted to show you some early gameplay of this Switch/PS4 game that just got an English release, "Maglam Lord"! It's an action RPG and spiritual successor to the Summon Night: Swordcraft Story games on GBA, sharing a lof the same development team. I loved those games a LOT so I was excited to see a similar game.
NOTE 2: Since recording the video I got to grips with combat a lot more. There are lots of skills you can learn and switching between weapons for different enemies adds an element of strategy. It's not AS simple as I thought at first, so it's definitely worth sticking with it. I will try and upload more gameplay or a review later, if possible.
PLATFORM: Nintendo Switch (docked)
Early thoughts:
Art style and character designs are super cute. The MC design is 10/10 (HOT)
Dialogue is packed with humour and personality. The game is VERY text-heavy, which may not be for everyone, but if you treat it like a hybrid visual novel, it's very cute and fun
The dating sim elements are very welcomed. There's clearly a lot more to uncover there
As I said, I got to grips with combat a bit more since recording this video. When you get the hang of dashing, jumping and changing weapons, it's actually pretty fun.
I like the request board as there's always an opportunity to grind for materials/EXP/character affection level.
Nice, relaxing dating sim/RPG hybrid, if you're not looking for something super complex or taxing.

Great video! I was thinking of checking this game out but I didn't know about this being from the devs of summon night swordcraft story too. I have several friends who swear by those games so this might be promising
It's definitely worth checking out!! (And if you have any way of playing GBA games, I highly recommend the Swordcraft Story games, they're SUPER fun and addictive. A bit more fast-paced than this game, so far.)
