Not only is this yet another fantastic Star Trek cover that absolutely nails the original mood, it is also a welcome call back to the first version of the theme (before they sped it up and added drum parts). It really does translate well to the ambient synth style. Fantastic work yet again.
It's an excellent piece for sure. Highly enjoyable. But I don't know where you could have used this piece on DS9. FWIW, I prefer the sped up version theme of DS9.
This is fantastic, I just finished watching DS9 last month for the first time and it easily became my favorite Star Trek show, purely for all of the fantastic characters that give the show life.
Been making my way through Star Trek again with my roommate, and we're in the final season of TNG, this is the perfect way to get pumped for DS9! Amazing work as always, Amie!
wow, awesome cover. You could imagine this as the music for the very last days of DS9, the station got more and more empty, everyone is leaving, shuttles and ships come and go to pick up all the people. Then a last shuttle flight in slomo around the station, a last walk thru the empty corridors and rooms, and then for the last time the airlock closes, and the view back from the last ship leaving, DS9 getting smaller and smaller, until it is no longer visible
Aaah that was brilliant! I loved the switch from brass to piano, which still captures that lonely feeling from the lone trumpet in the first version of the theme. And the synth pads gave the whole thing a more chilled-out and atmospheric feeling as well, with beautiful beat frequencies coming in and out of phase. Thank you very much for making this!
As soon as I saw this I paused what I was already listening to and started this video! Excited to see how you handle this, since the original theme was quite synth heavy aside from the brass and drums.
Came here off of the Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom cover. You definitely get a sub your sound is amazing! Bonus points for not going with the Voyager theme lol Idea for another cover I think you'd do well with ua-cam.com/video/bbcsz8sb7Cg/v-deo.html Maybe something that you'd hear on a dancefloor
Amazing job, love how you have used those lush sounding pads. Incorporating the gentle sounding piano and smooth bass and those subtle appregios in the back ground. Great work on your production. Keep doing what your doing it sounds amazing!
very happy to see this as a deep space 9 fan this has always been in my mind one of the best main themes ever so to hear it like this makes it even better for me, what a great cover!

Rad. If Ryan Gosling’s character from the movie drive was a Trekkie, this is exactly what he’d listen to.
