Good job. I came across this video because I'm looking for an alternative to the iPhone for video shooting. But for now, it appears that Pixel is still having problems with video.
And pixel is the artifact king. No other bigbrand has much artifact problems. Hdr-halos, hdr shadows and many more strange things. Apparently they dont want to fix it.
One more thing u should have tried the video boost feature now I know it's not native and it's been processed in cloud and it takes a lot of time but if u see or compare it with that mode would have been great
Indeed, the video boost is a great extra addition, especially for low light, which I didn't test much. When testing, we choose to only use the built-in native settings, as any camera could always be post-processed afterward in software or AI. Overall, I think with post-work, AI, video boost, Resolve, noise reduction apps, and others, you can certainly bring out an even better image on both cameras. Thanks for the comment and for watching; we sure appreciate it!
Honestly, they are close enough for me. Any color correction or stabilization can be done in post if you want to get serious with it. Thanks for the video! I'm trying to decide if a Pixel 8 pro will be good to last me some years
Totally agree! Both are great for sure! The new Pixel 9 Pro XL comparison video just went live. :)
Sorry i am late but just love you video. I use to make music video for beginners who can't effort,so I use to shoot with my OnePlus 9r .i shoot more then 10 video and they pay me well too. But sadly i lose my phone so i need to buy new phone i just wanted to go with s24 ulta ,so me and my special person where collecting money for more then two months . Anyway love you from India 😊
In photos, the pixels are more contrasty and the iPhone seems to be trying to show things more as they are, and the iPhone's video recording is really overwhelming.
Thanks for the great video
Thank you for watching!
Can the codec you talk about at 5.11 be added by an upgrade or will it only be available on future Pixel's (if Google is improving them at all)?
In theory, it could be added as a software update. Google did say they'd be supporting the 8 for 7 years so who knows what's to come.
What a beatifull nature, what place is that?
Could someone try filmic pro on the pixel??
Blackmagic Camera App just released for Android devices. That would be worth checking out for sure.
@@Saharacase yeah I haven't tried filmic on my 7pro, but should probably check - I feel like I had a subscription to it ages back! But if it's a codec problem I feel like it might mitigate some.
@@Saharacase also I got black magic for the 7Pro for the next couple of days so will report back. 7 video kind of sucks so will be interesting to see if it goes anywhere but for sure already hating the interface 😂 anything I can't pick up in two mins or less is such a drag (to my defence have been doing photo and some video for years and am a nerd so I never read the manual as they say 😂).
You're right about the potential of Google.
Just further video optimisation. Hopefully they do it.
What I noticed is that the pixel looked like smartphone footage.
While the iPhone sometimes looked like a mirrorless camera.
That was great to see.
Blackmagic camera app should be coming to android soon so hopefully there's better video options there.
Thank you for the video. Really beautifully shot.
Thanks for watching, William! Really appreciate the support. Indeed, I think the Blackmagic camera app will be a nice addition for Android.
detailed comparison thanks a lot, I think the Pixel 8 pro ist good enough for me.
Thanks for watching!
