Hey everyone, organizer here. I personally made the decision to have them come up to "commentate", it was a combination of previous commentators not being available, time pressure and me not feeling comfortable to commentate alone. While this was controversial for sure, I feel like it wasn't that bad in the end. It was pretty obvious even before the match that shige was going to win. Actual commentators could have done their thing, but I felt like in the end it would be pretty sad and leave a bitter taste in the mouths of Ed's fanbase. Memeing all the way through the match like what happened felt like the right decision at the time, but I myself also had no idea it would be this bad. I tried calming them down (you can probably see a couple times in the video) but couldn't really stop it. I felt really uncomfortable between them as well. Kicking commentators mid-match usually is a really bad idea, but in hindsight should've been done. Sorry to everyone, I hope you enjoyed the other matches regardless.

He knows Shige's gonna FC 99+% with HD, so his only option was HR, however difficult it made the map to play. He literally couldn't win otherwise.

This vod should be a lesson learnt type of thing for the osu community. A lot of commentators can't hold there tongue and let the match play out, Words need to come at the appropriate time and have meaning or it becomes obnoxiously annoying. Have dedicated commentators like doomsday and bubbleman with the knowledge and experience. I mean if you we're going to do this at least do this on the first rounds, NOT the semi finals!
I think sotarks and kroytz are funny commentating together, once in a while during a tournament is fun to have some banter, especially in events like this that brings the community together, no hate towards Doomsday and beast, but why do u want such a "pro" commentator in a osu tournament, can't u just watch the gameplay? just have some laughs
They're not funny though they're just annoying/rude. Not that I expected anything different from osu players/mappers though. If it was just the gameplay it would have been way more entertaining than having these people commentate
Honestly the worst commentary I have ever seen. Swearing, very unrelated boring and cringe talk and then they shrug it off as 'we didn't want to commentate but they invited us' umm then just politely refuse? I don't imagine someone literally forced you to commentate, I barely comment and even more so negative comments but this was simply horrible, was barely able to finish watching the video.
