Aside from this sort of map, what is he once step ahead on? Cause Mrekk blows him out the water in jumps, speeds, nomod, and even higher star hd maps with huge jumps, then you have Vaxei who is currently the best tech player without a doubt and prob the best overall player, WhiteCat who is contending with these same two players. I don’t even need to get into high bpm streaming territory with people like NyanPotato and Aetrna. Shige is amongst one of the best and this is what he excels at but he isn’t “one step ahead of everyone”, don’t be ridiculous

I'm a hella mad shige fanboy, but I don't think it's even possible for him to be in top 10. Reasons: 1. Shige himself doesn't want to grind and just wants to play for scores he wants, for fun, and for good songs. 2. He can't read high AR. If ever you see him play above ar10, it's memorized. And that actually comes from Shige himself btw. He said it on some of his streams. High AR is a very needed skill in order to get a lot of scores just to get into top 10.
Probably not. He doesn't have the passion to go for it. He's having fun now. Guy was the community #1 for a decade which is unheard of in any other game and now it's time to let others shine. He's still a god in overall skill, but other top players have honed certain skills down to such a T that comparison is unfair. If he were to get competitive, with the PP system the way it is right now, he could definitely set some 1k's and compete with the top 10 and make things fun, probably even win back the community pick. But as for #1 in PP? Mrekks so far ahead in the pp grind it would take a fresh face or an old skill with a new fire to de-rust and go god mode for a few months to match both his farm and raw skill.

Probably not. He doesn't have the passion to go for it. He's having fun now. Guy was the community #1 for a decade which is unheard of in any other game and now it's time to let others shine. He's still a god in overall skill, but other top players have honed certain skills down to such a T that comparison is unfair.
If he were to get competitive, with the PP system the way it is right now, he could definitely set some 1k's and compete with the top 10 and make things fun, probably even win back the community pick. But as for #1 in PP? Mrekks so far ahead in the pp grind it would take a fresh face or an old skill with a new fire to de-rust and go god mode for a few months to match both his farm and raw skill.
