Great intro video to your channel and tips for beginners to the SCX24. I can't wait to see what you do with your channel. I will be watching.
Thank you so much and thank you for the subscribing, I hope to not disappoint :)
@@rpandarc9248 No worries. It is all about supporting each other in this RC Community. I will be watching
I learned something new! Definitely going to try the shock preload adjustment!
A pretty neat feature huh
i really like the window mods you did. very creative.
Another great video I've seen on SCX24 mods. Although YOU have the BEST one I've seen. Having just brought our 1st SCX24's (I went with a Jeep Gladiator my miss a Deadbolt)
Some SERIOUSLY GREAT ideas & information. You sir are a legend for sharing your ideas.
MANY MANY THANKS
I appreciate that very much! :) I'm glad I could help and I hope to inspire you to come up with new ideas of your own :)
I dig your energy, can't wait for more videos 🤙
Thanks and expect one coming very soon! :)
Wow nice cheap tricks that realy worth too watch!
Yeah sorry about the length haha
There’s actually a switch in the controller that changes the direction of the throttle so you don’t need to swap wires around
Good point, forgot that was an option too :)
Love the video! Keep it up 👍
Awesome rig brother.
Thanks! :) I have future plans with it too coming soon!
It's amazing 👍😍👍
I really appreciate your comments thank you! :D
Im definitely trying that window rolled down idea. So freakin awesome
You didn’t “stiffen” the shock by moving that collar, the spring rate will always be the spring rate of that spring. what you did was preload it, and that only changes the ride height.
No worries I changed it back a while ago. Thanks!
Sweet video bro!!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed!
You’re a natural 😁
Thank you :)
Liked and subbed to your channel
Thank you for the Sub! that means a lot to me :)
Nice vidéo 👍😉
Thank You!
I'm just about to get one of these. I prefer the tan too, it will show up the funny bumper stickers you can buy, which I will cover it with! Wouldn't see them on the blue I don't think. Can't wait to get customising....
Yeah! they're so much fun, I bet your build is turning out awesome!
O-rings work great for preload. I used toothpicks to add grease in the shocks. I dig the BB mod for weight. Keep it up dude.
Yeah, toothpicks would be safer to use wouldn't it😅
great video, i love the scx24 scale, i think its going to be the next big rc thang lol
Thanks! and Yeah! I already have 4 of them, I need to stop before its too late lol😅
@@rpandarc9248 hahaha so true
great video man, i have the same car and love how you are into the realism to!!!!
Appreciate it! I'm glad you enjoyed it
wonderful your work, the shocks very impressive, I learned something from your video. thanks you
That's awesome to hear, thank you for subscribing! :)
Excellent vid dude 👌 i have this truck also 😀 👍 👌 subscribed 👍 😀
Thank You for subscribing! and Yeah I have so many fun ideas planned for it coming soon!
@@rpandarc9248 cool cant wait to see them😀👍👍
Yes the shocks that’s a great mod, i use green slime but yeah works great
Green slime is an interesting idea, thats awesome
Another way to take off the tent is remove the whole rack system with 4 hex's under the body take off tent and then replace four hex screws underneath to re-secure the rack as one piece.
That works too! I guess it's just preference and thanks for the follow :)
Removing high weight is nice, but increasing the ride height more than compensates for any benefit.
Ohhhh. You staggered the shocks.... Um.. that works great with the weight of a real truck... But the point is lost without that weight...
Thanks for the tip, maybe it'll work on the new Bronco
The window mod is actually really cool
Thanks! I'm glad you like it
Definitely trying that shock adjustment and C10 crawling for the next vid?
You can look forward to the C10 video :)
Yeah that’s the first thing I do is tear that sticker off the motor runs a lot cooler
Oh yeah, definitely a must do
No need mod , just play for fun ....
Do you lose much side hilling and steep climb ability with the elevated COG? Or does the slight articulation improvement compensate?
Yes, you will lose some side hilling and hill climb ability with the high CG, especially with the rear spring being a stiffer spring rate than the front. I love seeing the articulation movement, but if you want performance, just add some wheel-weight spacers from NHX, and that alone keeps CG low and gives you a wider stance improving side hilling and hill climbing. I wouldn't stagger the rear shocks as I did in the video, just because I noticed the screw holes aren't at an equal distance so either mount both rear mounted forward or mounted in their original mounting position. I hope this helps! :)
I've never had any luck with positioning the front shocks this way. I've tried a couple times because everyone seems to do it but it just makes the front end really bouncy and causes it to fall backwards on steep inclines.
it has its disadvantages yeah, I personally love seeing the articulation movement, I know it's not that great for inclines unless you place a limit strap from the diffs to the chassis
Same, I did it to the rear and left the front alone
I'm so confused... U say your not only flipping the shocks.. but slanting them right... So wasn't that hole where it used to be screwed into.. so it would be more straight... And now it's slanted forward..
But u pointed at the hole on the other side.. if you put it back in that hole then it would be back to normal. Straight up and down...
Also.. their are a bunch of screws all along the frame rail... All you gotta do is just move the screws around until u get the hole u want..
staggering the shocks was a cool idea I thought of testing out
Are the lipos safe though? On many rc forums they say these are dangerous and should only be charged with special balance chargers and within fireproof bags yet these are shipped with simple usb chargers !! So is it safe for casual rc fans to own these?
Hi! Lipo batteries will always be dangerous no matter what and they all should be kept in a metal box/container of some sort with a breathing hole(just in case one catches fire, so it won't build pressure inside)(I don't trust any lipo fireproof bags). Although these batteries have improved and become more reliable. For lipos to last you longer and to not damage them people would use a balance charger to equally charge each cell of the lipo battery, hence why it's recommended to everyone(I wouldn't cheap out on Chargers either). However, I honestly have been using the USB chargers it comes with and hasn't had any issues(just make sure with any charger charging lipos YOU are somewhere you can keep an eye on it). I'm also glad you have been doing your own research because many would just jump into the hobby and think lipos work like any other ordinary battery, so great on your part. As for these crawlers they have pretty small 2cell batteries that are very user-friendly and you shouldn't have anything to worry about. So yes these are safe for even casual RC fans. Just make sure to read all the warnings, never leave a battery plugged into your ESC when not in use, and if you ever need to dispose of a lipo, dunk it in a bucket of water adding a ton of salt to discharge it so it's harmless, wait till the water turns green and then dispose of it. I'll make my own video talking about all this to go more into detail.
Wait... You just cut off those nice lights. For that bumper
haha yeah but no worries I put the bumper back on for some new lights ua-cam.com/video/ddAAulBn8c8/v-deo.html
Can u even take the shafts off and switch them... For the motor flip thing.. and can the plate move far enough to align everything. Motor plate I mean.
Also.. you took the screws out and was just about to show us if the motor comes off... And poof... It's all gone.. nothing.. lol
I would have liked to see what happened. Even if it's nothing.
To learn
If you like I can create a future video on that whole flipping the motor around process, and lol yeah I tried condensing the video as much as I could, but you're right I"ll try to show the whole process next time. my bad :)
Or u can just dli9 the reverse throttle switch on the controller
yeah that works too
Nice shock trick ! Also if you want weight up front super glue two nickels to the top of steering servo .
thanks! and Yeah! I've seen people do that too, thinking about making a second vid on fee mods :)
Hello from southeast alaska do you have any stickers for my rock crawlers?
Hi! No, I'm sorry, however, it is something I want to do in the future once my channel grows larger along with other merch ideas :)
what do you mean by extended chassis version?
I meant to say the extended wheelbase version since the scx24 gladiator has a wheelbase of 153.7mm while all the other models have a shorter wheelbase on average of 132mm, and technically the chassis rails are longer as well.
@@rpandarc9248 thank you for the reply! Im just starting out with RCs and one of the scx24s are going to be my first so I'm trying to understand the differences between the models. I appreciate you taking the time to help me!👍
@@therelaxationbox5025 The gladiator is longest wheelbase. C10 truck, Jeep Wrangler Suv and Bronco all have the same wheelbase. The deadbolt has a different wheelbase w shorter front arms and longer rear arms. Tire sizes r different from the factory. The c10 has smaller tires then the gladiator, Bronco and Wrangler. There’s 2 versions of electronics. Blue top receiver and black top receiver. Controllers have 2 models as well.

Trash mods
I agree I don't know what I was thinking :(
