  • Has the Catholic community's unity been truly tested through Michael Voris and Church Militant's shift from unveiling corrupt bishops to a more confrontational stance against its own members? Join us as we dissect this phenomenon, bringing to light the concept of 'audience capture' and the divisive effects it has had on Michael and others. We fervently discuss the critical need for respectful dialogue, emphasizing the crucial role it plays in fostering open conversations - especially between traditional and conservative Catholics.
Shifting gears, we pour into our personal journeys and collective observations during Pope Francis' reign, revealing its ripple effects on the Catholic community. We unmask the Church's reaction to the Pope's actions, and the social media's role in sculpting these conversations. The discussion deepens with the controversial ousting of Bishop Strickland, raising questions about the Church's priorities and its handling of sensitive issues. Ultimately, we underscore the Church's duty to remain a beacon of clarity and reason amidst a world veiled in complexities. So come, partake in this enlightening discourse with us.

This infighting is primarily due to the “unpaid bills” of the Church staring from the 1970’s. It will sort itself in time but now leadership has to “pay up” or clean out those bishops that should not be in the Church. May God Bless you.

I hear what you're saying. I converted to Catholicism & the very next year, Benedict resigned. The last 10 yrs have been quite a roller coaster. However, I now view the condition of the Church & its hierarchy as being exposed & laundered. No longer is there room for complacency. It's actually an exciting time to be alive. We see the goats. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

There are now 1.4 BILLION Roman Catholics. With such a large congregation, you will find just about every possible kind of person within Catholicism. So you must use spiritual discernment to find spiritual sources. Church Militant was/is hateful and did lie to you. There are many much better channels.

Stay faithful and steadfast to your Catholic faith. I'm a Permanent Deacon and run RCIA in my parish. As a life-long Catholic, what's happening in the Church is painful to me, too. This Church does not belong to any Pope; it belongs to Christ. And He promised His Divine protection.

That is our desire, but I've had to learn more & quickly to keep up with the "diabolical disorientation" that is manifesting in the Church. The constant hate and disinformation on Church Militant turned me off after being a faithful viewer for the first couple years. When Michael at one point proclaimed that a person stopped being gay if they never had gay sex, I had to bail because it was so absurd. Does a heterosexual person stop being heterosexual if they don't have sex? When self-proclaimed Catholic media celebrities totally ignore science and basic common sense, then I bail. One of my best friends is a Catholic priest. He is gay and always will be. He is chaste but doesn't pretend that he therefore suddenly is no longer gay. Since Michael seemed to repress his gay sexuality instead of dealing with it, I am not surprised that in some moral sense, he exploded. I obviously do not know if his moral infraction was related to his gay sexuality (which he repeatedly proclaimed was gone now through a sheer act of will - which never works in the long run), but to me he was always a malice filled ticking time bomb. From a psychological viewpoint (and I am a retired Catholic psychiatrist) he was always pretty scary. Projection of self-loathing onto "evil doers" became the reason for Church Militant's existence. A vicious crusade against "evil doers" (where the ends justify the means) leads to moral corruption and soul damage. I never saw even a hint of Christ's love on Church Militant.

Yeah, I don’t get how people didn’t see Voris’ venom as obvious self loathing. Being convinced of one’s own self righteousness is dangerous as they become impervious to any form of criticism, even from friends trying to help, and chalk it up to the hate they’re eliciting from the baddies. No course correction or self reflection is possible at that point, and they’ll keep going, destroying everything and everybody in their path until they get smacked.

Stopping being an alcohol addict doesn't mean that you stop being attracted to alcohol. You have to resist this wrong attraction all your life. In the same way those who stop being gay may still have same sex attraction and resist this attraction being aware that it is wrong.

@@VACatholic Many people have a homosexual sexual orientation. That means they are attracted to members of the same sex. THIS is called "being gay". Being gay is not an action but a state of being. "Being heterosexual" means you are attracted to members of the opposite sex. Even if you are chaste and celibate your entire life, you remain heterosexual or homosexual. See how that works? Your dogma that may imply that everyone is heterosexual is simply 100% wrong according to all medical science. Being gay is not a choice but a realization, often at puberty. This realization is often accompanied by self-loathing and sorrow. The Church seems to encourage this. Two thirds of teen suicides are now estimated to be gay teens who see no reason to continue living. But thanks for sharing your ignorance.

As when his local bishop and his chancelry 'threatened' to tell true tails about Mr Vortex, he did the right thing, 'fessed up, went to confession, and made a firm purpose of amendment. And Catholics were right there with him .. with an open-hearted understanding, love, and support. Are we really to change now .. because he did not address all his own personal demons .. are we to shut him out of our care because he has accepted the penitential wisdom of stepping aside - to face the diabolic in his life .. are we to prove Pope Francis right in his horrible accusations against faithful Catholic, being judgemental, backward, and mean? No!
We stand with Michael in his struggle, where else should we be ..? St Philip Neri .. Pray for us.
Keep the Faith; tell the truth, shame the devil, and let the demons shriek.
    God bless. ;o)
P.S. If you know him, let him know he is still very much loved, appreciated, and cared for. Now let him be, to do what work needs to be done. And let all the abusers know .. there can indeed be reconciling amendment .. if the will is there ...

@@willchristie2650 He may well have done, though that was not his intention .. clearly bishops did not get an easy ride with Mr Vortex. I do rate Fulton Sheen as a heroic witness to the faith, not Michael Voris. But Voris is a sinner, and a penitent one .. am I, therefore, to cast him aside?
I never liked his shock-jock style, and said so, repeatedly, however, he opened many eyes firmly shut to genuine episcopal mismanagement. This might have aided the swift drift away from our senior pastors, and their management of decline .. by smiles, faux initiatives, and downright deceitful quiescence.
It is they who drove Catholics away from the practice of the Faith, Mr V magnified the reality for all to see .. because he had an inside understanding of the diabolical state of affairs, at an intensely personal level.
Keep the Faith; tell the truth, shame the devil, and let the demons shriek.

Let's face it, felt banner decor & eardrum shattering guitar music does not call one to prayer. Vatican II imposed these changes. It did not come naturally by grace & prayer.

Church heirachy would not change TRUE doctrine. Right? The kids of the "greatest generation " are those boomers who had the parental comfort to stay with the slow infusion. Only in hindsight can we see the workings of modernism & the desire to make Catholicism blend into other Christian groups in the hope that those "protestants" would want to return, by ecumenism, back to Catholicism. In hindsight, once again, not a smart move! Now the New World Order, earth worshiping, man worshiping, religion is firmly implanted in Rome. The Catacombs Pact has come to fruition. I am what you would call a baby boomer, and after being a died in the wool democrat most of my life and working on campaigns for democrats I saw them for what they are. Number one the people I worked with were controlling and very much elitists. I was thrilled when Bill Clinton became President but I changed my mind about him after the Monica Lewinski scandal and changed my mind about the democrats I knew personally who defended him. That's when I started to hang out with more conservative people and they were friendlier and more down to earth than any democrats I knew and the republicans I knew were not rich. Yes I now consider myself a conservative which means I want to allow my country to thrive and not be destroyed, is that a bad or selfish stance to take? I didn't always agree with what was presented on Church Militant but I got a lot out of it. In addition I think any platform that shows the radical left for what they are is a force for good.

This point about Archbishop Lefebvre has come up, seemingly make the hierarchy seem more "reasonable" and +Lefebvre unreasonable relative to the Bishop Strickland situation. Brian Holdsworth used his example (bringing up him after Luther... cringe...). The difference is vast. Lefebvre was there at the council when the modernists basically took over. He knew they wanted their revolution. They were going to get it. Getting the approbation of +Lefebvre was just a post-council clean up job. The "extending of an Olive Branch" in my view was really more of a ritual to cast the Vatican in a better light. There are some other things I could relate, but I think it suffices to say it's wrong to make an example of the +Lefebvre case (basically throw him under the bus) so the treatment of +Strickland can seem far less reasonable in comparison.

I think most of us Catholics want to be something we are not. Most of us would like to be a holy saint. Sometimes, we can become a little inflated in our egos, and maybe a little proud and maybe we can start judging others and feel we are better. I have done this but everytime I do, I always come crashing down. I'll judge someone's sin and then I'll do something worse. It's humiliating being a sinner but there's nothing worse than pride. Also, Jesus warned us through St. Catherine of Siena, not to publicly mock His chosen ministers. When we attack God's priests and bishops, we leave ourselves open to demonic attack. Filial correction done in charity is acceptable but Voris went too far. I recall thinking to myself that if I wanted to wreck the Church, I would do exactly what Voris does. I unsubscribed from Church Militant about 3 years ago. It's spiritually dangerous to go after the clergy. We should pray and fast for them instead of ridiculing them publicly.

It bears repetition to read: A Godly Instruction [on How to Treat Those Who Wrong Us], c. 1534,
Written by Sir Thomas More, Knight, While He Was a Prisoner in the Tower of London in 1534
Bear no malice or evil will to any man living. For either the man is good or wicked. If he is good and I hate him, then I am wicked. If he is wicked, either he will amend and die good and go to God, or live wickedly and die wickedly and go to the devil. And then let me remember that if he be saved, he will not fail (if I am saved too, as I trust to be) to love me very heartily, and I shall then in like manner love him. And why should I now, then, hate one for this while who shall hereafter love me forevermore, and why should I be now, then, an enemy to him with whom I shall in time be coupled in eternal friendship? And on the other side, if he will continue to be wicked and be damned, then is there such outrageous eternal sorrow before him that I may well think myself a deadly cruel wretch if I would not now rather pity his pain than malign his person. If one would say that we may with good conscience wish an evil man harm lest he should do harm to other folk who are innocent and good, I will not now dispute upon that point, for that root has more branches to be well weighed and considered than I can now conveniently write (having no other pen than a coal). But truly will I give counsel to every good friend of mine that unless he be put in such a position as to punish a man in his charge by reason of his office, he should leave the desire of punishing to God and to such other folk who are so grounded in charity and so fast cleaved to God that no secretly malicious or cruel affection can creep in and undermine them under the cloak of a just and a virtuous zeal. But let us that are no better than men of a mean sort ever pray for such merciful amendment in other folk as our own conscience shows us that we have need of in ourselves.

As Catholic Christians we should avoid spreading more of what people think they know, but don't 100%. Remember the 10 Commandments about bearing False Witness against your neighbor, being unforgiving, and being agents of chaos. We know who is operating when we are doing that. It is a Mortal Sin. So lets just say doing this type of thing such as these videos, the demons and evil is driving the bus. When a person fails which is our Nature, Fallen. Without Jesus Christ it doesn't matter how many followers you have, or money, or influence. I was reminded again today myself. Through Grace from our Lord Jesus Christ are we saved. Be wary though, as the bible says Satan roams this earth as a Hungry lion looking to devour us. May Jesus Christ Bless and save you from your sins, never mind Michael Voris. Instead of looking for the speck in your brothers eye, While you have beams in your own. Pray for Michael Voris instead of gossip and slander with your time. Just a comment about that comment on Archbishop Lefebvre being given a chance vs Strickland who wasn’t-it seems Archbishop Lefebvre was given a chance but one has to read the context. He was also suspended unilaterally by Paul VI, in spite the glowing report by the apostolic visit. It was years before Paul VI agreed to meeting him. His dubia was never answered. Strickland’s fight is barely 2 years old and hasn’t played out. So it’s not an apples to apples comparison in this sense. As to the “excommunication” by JPII-if you read the details of what went on there, it was all smoke and mirrors, the Vatican making it appear like the Archbishop was being heard. The evidence really looks like the Vatican was really afraid of Tradition growing-not that Archbishop Lefebvre was going to become a schismatic. In fact, they would’ve preferred he became schismatic.

The tribalism is due in large part to papal leadership, as well as labels and their connotations, couple that with all kinds of sin in the laity which seems to get missed in mentions. The tribalism is mostly the pope's fault in that his scandal radar detection is set to off. He's not the kind of guy to listen to Paul about, say, eating mostly with the left, nor does he care if one perceives his food at some restaurant was offered to this or that odd god. He, in my estimation is, a liberal Jesuit of very questionable leadership capabilities.
He could, if he wanted, completely present coherent plans and ideas while reiterating the teachings will remain unchanged and that ANY pastoral changes, however seen, will not impact the teachings of the faith. It is his complete failure to be fully intellectually complete in his presentations, which would earn him failing grades in college papers, coupled with his ability to essentially, ecclesiastically speaking, while in the presence of the mystical body, fart in public, fart at dinner, burp and sneeze on the cafeteria food, criticize the waiters at table, and dismiss entire countries out of hand, that is disquieting to any actual thinking Catholic. Save, Jesuits, who long ago, in many cases, "evolved" into some odd fringe thinkers and rely on what WAS Jesuit for all their gravitas. Couple with that his all religions willed by God things, and, might I say, his rather Machiavellian style of synodal paths wherein stacked decks and, seeming to many, manipulated outcomes, gives rise to some odors of a vague unidentifiable nature.
There have been voices indicating the conclave was rigged. Subverted maybe, but not rigged. There is never any guarantee that the correct pope will be elected, indeed that position has been abused in the past. The difference here is that past bad popes spent their time doing bad personal things and not meddling much in important issues since those guys were generally lustful and working on that. Francis is not that kind of bad pope, he is an ideological bad pope. That makes him a "new creature" but not in a good way.
Francis, like us all, is damaged goods. As he sees the end of days coming, he is more obvious, it IS about a paradigm shift. That has always been his goal. This, itself, is not necessarily a bad thing. Nor, is it necessarily a good thing. It is likely his toadies in the next conclave will carry forward the "vision".
I know the Catholic faith. I will stay with it. Jesus never leaves the boat. He, however, does not guarantee the quality of the ride.

If people want to understand who Bergoglio is and what he professes they must learn about Gnosticism. Gnosticism is the basis of communism, progressivism, modernism, feminism, homosexualism, the engine of all the worst and bloodiest wars and revolutions and the creed of all esoteric secret societies. Gnostics feel that they are chosen spirits who can act differently from normal people and feel called to manage the masses of profane ignorant men

I don't understand how this is difficult. Voris was engaged in McCarrick style sin before coming to the Church. How do you go from that to a highly visible self described "apostolate". Voris isn't eligible for the priesthood because of his past and should take a quiet position. Monasteries were built for people like Voris. Instead we have to watch his vitriolic S&M style of Catholicism burn to the ground.

Growing a UA-cam channel is a tough slog, isn't it, especially when you discuss religion. I'm betting that success requires more faith than believing in God does. Yep, the Voris affair will give anti-Christian standup comics fodder for years to come.

I started watching him for awhile but he was always so negative, vindictive & seemingly hateful, that I couldn’t see any part of Christ in the channel. Where was the charity? The fervent call to pray for the bishops & priests & homos? We must pray for Michael. He really, really needs it. And his “cohort in crime”, too… she was not a happy person.
