You’re all correct. He was most productive at DE (technically a 3-4 OLB) but hasn’t really filled out and we moved him to LB. Unfortunately he doesn’t appear to have the speed or strength to be a starter at either yet. I would love to see him stay and develop because by all accounts he’s a great kid and very thoughtful but he may be better off transferring with guys like Hopper, Wingo, and Diwun Black in waiting.

Napier has set expectations that it’s going to be a process-driven build and commitment from various levels. He has proven early that the on/off field staff is more than legitimate and competent. I love the early returns.

It seems odd to me that they are targeting guys from the Ragin Cajun team and or their recruits. Am I crazy ?….seems to me that those are not players at a level that Florida would be interested in….
Their O-line was up for multiple national awards. Billy knows which of those guys are SEC caliber. He’s not taking them all, only guys he thinks can contribute. Until he gives us reason not to I will trust coach Napier. I blame Hevesy and his terrible recruiting for making everyone so weary.
I dont want any coaches from a train wreck NFL team unless they could demonstrate they have done a good job in their role. Otherwise they contributed to a terrible team.
