Hahahaha Chad you’re the man. Stay safe af because I will cry if I hear you’re out before age 60 or so. After 60 you can peace out and I will give you a mountain salute.
@@samrichardson2641 did you go around it or are you talking about those slabby moves off the right of the summit going down if you’re going towards the ridge?
@@ChadLubinski im talking about those moves off the right of the summit. The slabs were just steep enough to be hazardous along with the lack of good holds but no exposure atleast
That’s a lot of good info. I always thought the knife edge would be kind of quick/short😅thanks for this! Is this the hardest 14er in CO? Gotta be top 3 right?
@@ChadLubinski IMO, this hike gets hyped up way more than it should. While it involves plenty of class 3 scrambling, I don't think there is much exposure and I talk about this in my video. Even on the knife edge if you stay on the correct side you can't really fall anywhere if you were to let go or slip. I think there are many other 14er hikes that are tougher and/or have more exposure. Not hating on you as I did it myself too
@@HikingEngineer I agree that I don’t think it’s all it’s hyped to be, particularly if you’re used to exposure. Calling it limited exposure is irresponsible though, given people that could be watching may have no experience with exposure so choose to do it based on that comment.
@@ChadLubinski I guess I would hope people that do capitol research the route and watch videos and not decide to do it solely based on my comment without actually watching the footage lol. And also I would hope anyone doing this peak has prior experience with this type of terrain
Climbing is odd: to me, an exposed rock wall at 5.7 or something, but fully harnessed and belayed with a 100-foot drop feels _way_ safer than scrambling on a knife ridge with a 2000-foot drop. But the wall is classed as "harder."
Very nice video and beautiful landscape!! Hard work 💪 well done!! Enjoyed watching!! Done myself few videos for my travel channel if you want to have a look at it.....thank you!! New SUBSCRIBER
Are you planning on climbing Capital Peak? If you've already done it, what did you think of it?
Great guide dude. Looks like a sick climb

Getting over and down K2 to the ridge was the hardest part for me, I made a few sketchy moves on some slabby stuff but managed to pull it off.

@@letszoomhikingteam 14ers.com says it’s the hardest one!
@@ChadLubinski makes sense. Once you do all the CO 14ers we need a PB & Mountains on your Top 10 or tier ranking👌🏼or at least I do
Looks a heckuva lot tougher than Knife's Edge on Katahdin
it's pretty basic scrambling with limited exposure
limited exposure?
