lakero45, though not in the MU proper, Jubilee was an Avenger, even led a team for a short time, in the MC2 universe, and Cyclops led his own team of Avengers when he took over the mantle of Captain America in one universe. My point is, most have been on one version or splinter group of the Avengers at one point or another in the 616. In truth, most heroes, and a few villains, have called themselves Avengers

They missed an opportunity to expand the roster on both sides. They could still have a total of 60 to 80 characters if they really put a lot more time in development. We could be seeing Daredevil, Luke Cage, Ronin, Elektra, etc.
And on the capcom side it'd be nice to see onimusha characters, viewtiful Joe, asura.

These kind of comments make me want to pass on Dragonball FighterZ. Seriously, how are you people already toxic enough to compete with Overwatch when your game isn't even out yet? It took Overwatch over a year to get to where it is now.
I'm most likely going to pass on DBFZ because its seems to be aimed at those who want to get into fighting games rather than a deep combat system. Does it look better? Yes. Does it play better. Highly doubt it.

Ya I am sorry not trying to make it "toxic" its just how I see it I just watched Maximilan Dood play the game it looks so boring and very floaty (Chun Li for example) the models are not that decent comapre to the passed games. Dragon Ball FighterZ is not meant for everyone its basically a love letter to Dragon Ball fans. The character models looks stunning both 2D and 3D render (some moves make the characters pop into 3D) and actually look like the characters from the anime. I really hate to say it but (no not really cuz its true) Dragon Ball FighterZ is a superior game based on the information and cut scene given to us so far. and Its easy to Pick Up but HARD to master kind of game like the last couple Marvel VS Capcom.

Yeah the roster, art style, and graphics are not great. The gameplay is though. It's a mixed bag.

Basically, if you're a fighting game junkie who probably doesn't have a job and has all day to play video games, then you'll probably love this game. Anyone who wants more from a game is not gonna be a fan.

Like Street Fighter V, everything surrounding the game is ugly except the gameplay.
The gameplay is inferior among mvc series.
Play the game then tell me the gameplay is inferior. This game allows you to set up combos in so many different ways, there's a ton of versatility here. It is definitely ugly and lacking polish, but gameplay is too notch. One thing Capcom didn't just get right, they perfected it.

They made a groundbreaking stylistic fighting game into a generic bland fighting game. Not only did the reuse the plot of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, but they used the same disgustingly boring and bland color palette. They have, in my opinion, done a great disservice to an amazing franchise.

For actual fighting gamers out there, the gameplay is really solid and connection is amazing. If you don't mind everything else being pretty abysmal then it's a good game. Otherwise don't buy it. Gameplay wise it's definitely one of the better games to come out and is extremely creative, but everything else about it holds it back.

I remember back in the day when fighting games had dozens and dozens of characters, all included in the original product... Good days I say, good days...
Casual rare player but strong fan here. This game just looks like its completely missing the soul that made MvC good in the first place. Missing characters including staples, only 2 char selecting not 3, a shoved in gimmick of the Infinity Stones (even if it was executed well, it's still a gimmick), and just not interesting character art/models. And while the lack of visual clutter from effects is a good thing in a way, with them being as reduced as they were its yet another facet that just feels like its soulless.

this is more of a "ive got 4 friends over, 4 controllers, pc on stream to the big t.v, and we probably just finished playing guitar hero drinking beer, first to 3 wins type mix it up title. It's just strictly fun. Your not going to get a forever game out of a game geared for arcade vibes *i.e 10 minutes at a time of enjoyment* its quick and to the point, *but i do agree maybe mc3 goty is better*

Ill be 32 soon, so I was about 6 in my arcade haydays. My fondest fighting game memory stems from the times when MK, Tekken, and Street fighter cabinets had lines longer than my patents planned on spending there. Li and behold this other cabinet had Zero lines, and featured for the very first time the Xmen. Sentinel as a playable character, became my favorite fighter.
Problem was a port for Xmen Children of the Atom didn't come out for Nintendo, and long after the PS1 release. Even then it was a rare title, and none of my buddies with a PS even knew the game existed. After newer cabinets replaced the ones at our local mall, that chaos you speak of, was lost to me.
Then years later, hear the words "I wanna take you for a ride" filled my curiosity, as the horns and wacky colors drew me towards my cousins dreamcast. And there, my beloved Sentinel, along with all his enemies...Magneto, Phoenix...and look there's even Street Fighters! MvC 2...I didnt even know about the first one.
XMEN paved the foundations of this franchise. No excuses for their omission from the lineup.

The most notable new release of the week though is Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, which debuted at a disastrously low number 12 in the all formats chart. The PlayStation 4 version had to settle for number 16 in the individual format chart, with the Xbox One version not even getting into the top 40. It’s a shockingly poor performance for the game, which will now have to rely on its DLC for any hope of redemption.
(Update: According to this tweet Ultra Street Fighter II on Switch had a better debut than the multiformat Infinite, and yet no Switch version of the game has been announced or even hinted at.)
To add insult to injury Marvel Vs. Capcom only came in one spot ahead of the remasters of Pokémon Gold and Silver for 3DS, which are literally just empty boxes with a download code inside. Gold came in at number 17 in the individual formats chart and Silver at number 21.

Disney doesn't want to give fox any free publicity by including the characters fox owns the cinematic rights to in any other form of media. In addition to this they canceled a fantastic 4 comic in 2015

I’ve considered getting this game, but after playing Marvel vs Capcom 3, I’m not sure. Are the combos/special moves as easy to pull off as they are in Dragon Ball Fighter Z?
I wouldn't call myself an expert of the series, as I only started playing it with the last game. That being said, I enjoyed the music (mostly X-23's theme) and verses mode. The animation (mostly the terrible skins i.e. Ironman's Silver Centurion armor and Cap's red look and the lack of a US Agent skin) really left ALOT to be desired, but it was still a fun play. I am looking forward to this one, hoping to see improvements on the skins, but I am liking what I have seen in trailers so far

Jboi 321 It's not bad. Most of the people saying it's bad are either casuals, haven't played the game yet, on the hate bandwagon, or dragon ball fighters fanboys. It's not at it's best for a MvC game especially the roster but it's not at all bad
joshua spencer gameplay wise people are putting it up there. I'm enjoying it just on gameplay alone, but that's all it really has going for it. Good enough for me even if marvel is shoving MCU down our throats.

Justin ™ better start telling all the gamers around the world to stop supporting bad practices then. Too bad they'll still keep buying bad games. Though this game (aside from how they are handling dlc) isn't that bad compared to normal capcom standards. Look at sfv. Pretty much nothing at launch and not even an arcade mode or story. They at least have a decent launch, no hiccups, actual fun gameplay, and a decent base game.
MehGamer It's better than SFV that's for sure. I wouldn't pay 60 for it but Amazon cut me a deal and X is fun to play the story while paint by numbers wasn't all bad and they gave X some serious love and if you know your lore on Marvel and Capcom some of the action make sense.
Ill buy once most if not all DLC becomes available in an all in one a little more than regular price package. Standard price for the game is 60. Then its like 8-12 bucks per dlc. By the time youre done getting them all through the progressive time it takes to buy all that comes available, youve spent twice the price for 1 game. Mortal Kombat 9 and 10 did that

The gameplay is soon good, but the issue is that I feel that in like a month's time it will be Impossible for newcomers to get into the game. Alot of hardcore players feel that to.
Basically the way the combo system has been made lets you make a combo how ever you want, it is so unrestrive and freeform in how you play, you can tag in your teammates with any attack and do 50/50 mixups 24/7, we have already found 100%Jedah combos. It's going to be very confusing for new players to even understand what they are looking at.
I feel the game price will go down pretty soon since theres a lot of hate around it for some reason

long loading screens 0.0 must be something they fixed up in the patch was really quick for me. i had a lot of fun with story, its basic yeah but the inclusion of capcom characters made it very fun, frank west and spiderman are great together for example.
got plans for a before buy on Divinity: Original Sin 2? Was looking to pick it up but unsure if i should just wait for a sale.

Playing in cinema mode inside of the Playstation VR headset made this game visuals a lot better somehow! Is it just me ? Has anyone else tried it ? I'd like to know !
I only got it because it was 17 bucks off on Amazon and X was a HUGE factor Zero was a big plus too but it is fun to play when expections downs.
I didn't like MVC 3, and I already feel disappointed looking at Infinite. Marvel's pettiness and politics on full display, dwindling the roster is just another turn off. I'm lucky I still have a copy of MVC 2.

I’m a casual fan of Marvel Vs capcom and I only ever played marvel vs capcom 2 on the arcade machines and the sega Dreamcast. But I really like the indinity stones. It looks really good and I like the switch from 3 to 2 characters per player. I’m not good at fighting games and I like them to be easy to pick up and just have fun with some friends. I don’t think I’ll pick this game up unless it comes to the switch.
I love the game.. wasn't crazy about the story mode. Lots of depth with the stones which really alters the game and makes each fight feel fresh in what can feel repetitive in past games

I don't remember "gameplay" ever being used as an excuse for a bad quality product :
1.- Capcom does not care about what fans want anymore. They are currently focused - almost exclusively - on normalizing their "games as a service" model especially among the younger and uneducated; not to mention, hell-bent on milking everyone who buys into their games-turned-into-scams with little regard to quality or brand reputation in the middle term (I am not going to rationalize it, I just don't care). Many have woken up to this fact already but Capcom is - yet - so shameless they will now rub MvCI's DLC content in your face (the fact other horrible companies are doing it too is no excuse provided you behave as a principled consumer). Unfortunately, I am in no position to talk about Monster Hunter or Resident Evil 7 since I have no interest/experience in the former and no way to play the latter (RE7 is, however, already a cause for division among the fanbase which just saddens me).
2.- Several members of the FGC act as a PR platform for Capcom and hog the spotlight for their less-than-ready-for-showing products. SFV appears to be more of a 'game' geared towards televised junk and celebrity-wannabe stunts. It may get views but a huge number of fighting game fans - the ones that just wanted to see a good complete product regardless of how hardcore or casual they feel about competitive play - have just quietly walked away, they won't get close to this pile of s**t because of the aforementioned and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Esports has corrupted this image of the common fan and these manipulative PR machines have no qualms about depicting anyone who has no interest in online as a "scrub" that should have no say or vote (because they cannot see past their exclusive, money-inflated club).
3.- Super Street Fighter V could change this? It's currently up in the air (Capcom can tease all they want but, how about some transparency for once?) and, provided it's a physical version, folks will, no doubt, have to datamine it just to double-check whether everything is in the clear. Those who fell victim to the infamous launch day blu-ray deserve to have this downloadable update for free. Capcom simply owes this to them.
But, here's the crux of the matter. Can anyone say with 100% certainty Capcom will be humble, honest and willing enough to do so (offer the SSFV update to these people for free) when they have the nerve to charge for nostalgia costumes (because, apparently, you don't deserve to have Akuma look the way he is supposed to without paying up)? As for the fight money system, it is a really poor implementation that ultimately goes against replay value. Grinding shouldn't be part of a fighting game because it's tiring and plain nonsensical. That said, the removal of arcade mode (the most fun and straightforward way to unlock stuff that I know of, so far) would constitute the perfect cover-up for this design decision, I guess.
4.- What happens with the Capcom "fanboys" is analogous to the frustrations others have with Nintendo. Everything their idolized companies do is a godsend and any opinion that questions these practices is 'hate'. These cattle couldn't begin to fathom what proper scrutiny is, which in theory shouldn't be difficult given Capcom's less than stellar record of hidden on-disc DLC, online-only DRM and rootkits, just to name a few.
When it comes to fighters, they are currently in a downward spiral while all competitors are showing signs of catering to fans (not that a blind follower will see how things are outside their comfort zone, sadly).
Naturally, I am also done with feeling for Capcom. I strongly believe they must take a seat and reflect on their state and their future. If they persist with these god-awful anti-consumer practices, they can take a hike and join the ranks of Konami. Unless, of course, Monster Hunter World becomes a happy turnaround for them.
I kinda wish there was a direct 8/10 or something like that at the end but I really like these video!
I’m considering buying this, but I’m not sure. Are the controls as simple as DB FighterZ, easy to learn as Mortal Kombat, or as complicated as Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3?
Downsizing the roster for every new iteration of these games is really losing me. Also WHY CANT THEY JUST STICK WITH 2D HAND DRAWN GRAPHICS???? (OR go the DragonBall FighterZ approach) MVC2 just looks and feels so much better. It really is a shame how they handled the visuals here. TBH theres no point in buying this one when the first 3 or 4 of them have more characters and look more appealing. Just my opinion. Capcom dropped the ball on this one. DBFZ is taking the 2D fighting game crown 2018 no doubt.
Ikey Visual when's the last time you've seen hand drawn anything? It's because it's expensive as hell and hard to do. There are still some games and movies that do it, but not alot. A game should look good, but gameplay is what matters to me in a fighter. MvCI actually has really fun gameplay.
even though that's all it has going for it lol. Let's hope dbz gameplay actually holds out in the end. Looks only last so long and the gameplay is what holds up in the end.

You know Id love the story mode, IF they first crossover into their universes, fight each other, have to ban together to fight the bigger villains, and epic battles. Honestly its called marvel vs capcom for a reason
The game is fun, all I cared about. I instantly found Ultron and Dante to be a stellar team and i have since worked out synergy in the tag system and found reality stone to work best for how I want to play. It's a great game and i hope the dust settles and people give it a chance.

They had them in 3 there's no reason not to have them in the new one.

I'm constantly surprised so many people are in the dark about this. The reason why you're not seeing any X-characters or Fantastic 4 characters is not because of Capcom choosing not to add them. Disney, not wanting to give Fox any kind of promotion, didn't allow Capcom to include these characters. Cross-media promotion is a thing now and that is very telling in this game in regards to MCU. If this game sells well and if Disney gets their head out of their asses and end their feud with Fox over movie rights, we may see the return of said characters.

We need a Marvel vs DC fighting game. Imagine Spider Man vs Batman or Deadpool vs Deadshot. Plus imagine they sales this game will make.

Yes it is Marvel versus Capcom four does not have any X-Men characters but I hope that can be rectified with a future download
I was not impressed. I got the collector's edition for $167 at bestbuy with the gamers unlocked and i already put the game for sale on Craigslist. Im keeping the statutes and thats it. Low replay vaule. MK, Tekken, & Injustice 2 are way better.

Honestly i kind of like that the character selection at the beginning is a bit limited. 30 characters isnt limited while to begin with we used to only get about 8 characters.

When I found out about Auto combos on my first playthrough, I was a bit confused and I said "Am I on simple mode?"
The only question I ask when a sequel of a fighting game comes out is,
"Are there more characters then the last one?" If no I pass.
