  • Today marks my 8-year anniversary since I set up this channel in 2009. I think a video of me working is one of the most fitting ways to celebrate that. Most of the stops are backyard/garage service, which is offered free of charge. The green barrels are used as transfer containers when going behind a house. It's a very customer-oriented approach to collecting a resi-route, one that's designed to win over wealthy (and often elderly) customers in an open market town.
    This video features yung Benjamin and I working on mobile 06, an ex-Penske International Durastar with a 13 yard New Way Viper body. For those who are into the older (cooler) trucks, I'll have videos of those coming later.

    Great job brother...now have the perspective from both sides of the camera. Im sure you appreciate the work all of these guys do that much more. Plus all of your hustling around tells a lot about the worker/man that you are. Hope to see your others videos soon.

      Raul Frescas thanks I appreciate it. Loving my job made it pretty easy to find the energy to move like that, but it's still very hard work. I can't imagine what a physical and mental challenge it must be to work that hard all day without the benefit of enjoying it.

      Hi brother; great job! And right attitude! Yeah, you are right, nothing feels better than working hard with the muscles. It's real fun! Like you I am a proud worker and I like to show my strenght in public and I work shirtless. Does your company hire strong guys, I would apply!

    Why wouldn't you guys use tooters with out lids instead of dragging a can with you everywhere?

    • @trashmonster26
      @trashmonster26  6 років тому

      Tom Ragagli they’ve always used these green barrels (long before “toters” existed) and they still do because it’s faster going up stairs and rocky driveways. plus it’s a better workout :)

    • @thomasragagli2073
      @thomasragagli2073 6 років тому

      I use 96 gallon totters when I'm doing back yard servies pick up but I try to grab more then one house at time before I dump my cans. These guys seem to be doing one at a time.

    • @trashmonster26
      @trashmonster26  6 років тому

      we try fit an extra house into the barrel every time that it makes sense to do that, which is not often. Usually the barrel fills up at one house and the truck is a closer walking distance than the next stop. In that regard, the cart system is better, because you can fit more in with less trips to the hopper. But these barrels are quite handy when you deal with loose gravel driveways and narrow walkways.

      Trash. Sadly not a lot of residents in this area participate in recycling. The pickup costs extra so most people don't do it.
