I've been on the Carnival Dream four times, and NEVER knew about this area.
Thus the secret deck...... now you know. 🙂
Going to check out Deck 9 for sure. Larger than the ones on 6 and 7 and you get the same view of the ship as the bridge! But love these "private" decks that only come off the cabin levels.
was on this ship years ago and was staying close to there.. loved going onto that deck!

have stayed in a front obscured room on deck 6 or 7 big picture window and easy access to the front deck nice area love it at the end of day go out relax and have a drink and coffee in the morning
It's a great spot to watch the ship arrive in port, or even to watch a sunset or sunrise.

Good to know about the secret deck. But I see that visitors apparently can peer thru the small windows on the front hull straight into those forward cabins. How does Carnival market that??
that forward deck gets very little foot traffic, and mostly its the last day of the cruise if someone in a cabin close by realizes you can actually walk out there. The cruise line don't talk about these windows at all in the description of the cabin. so i guess you just need to have the curtain closed from time to time.

That's handy it's so close to your cabin. Almost like having a huge balcony to your self.

Actually all ships but the Mardi Gras have it on the bridge view the fantasy and spirit only have the bridge view all ships after that have 5 and up 5 being the least secretive

I think it's very slim, someone would check if your there before closing it down in high winds

I don’t think it locks that way I know you can lock it from the extirpe just the first door also on the deck plan you see stairs in the very aft of the ship those exist just crew only it is called stair 0P

Yeah, its definatly a sore point for some of the crew onboard. i guess its like going to disney world as well, wondering all of there secrets and behind the scenes magic.
There are NO secret decks just decks that people don't know how to get too! every ship has them!! also if you are NOT on those deck you don't know they are there. no secret to this at all
