We like longer cruises - 5 - 8 days. Those shorter ones are not really worth it to me. I've done a few 4-day cruises but you're really only getting 3 "real" cruise days. You are right about longer cruises having a different feel - longer cruises (8 days) tend to have older guests and fewer kids. The really short cruises (3 days) are filled with party people and the entertainment is different.

They’re also helpful, pleasant and entertaining as well! On the Carnival Liberty, it’s just a bit down from the casino, where they have a live band nightly! Amazing.
Great video and so much information I need to know to take this cruise. We are taking a 7 days Mexican Riviera cruise on the Panorama, but only 1 day in each port. Short trip but we've waited 2 years for this trip. Looking forward to it. Planning on buy the water like you suggested.
I love and agree with most everything here, and I get you need to sell spa services. However, I might suggest in certain ports, i.e. Costa Maya, etc. heading out a few beaches down and getting an hour massage on the beach ($20-25.00) while adding a bucket of Cervezas ($12-15.00). I'll typically do at least two hours. Also, the water can be delivered on any days you choose so it doesn't all have to be piled up on day 1.

My #1 tip. If you're a big fan of the late night comedy shows, and if you like to have a few drinks with your comedy. This is a life saver! You can't get any snacks at the comedy club. And it's all the way at the bottom of the ship. So plan ahead with one of these 3 options. 1. Bring snacks on board. Ether from your home port or another port of call. 2. If you are with someone, find your seat about 20 minutes early. Have one person hold your seats while the other person runs up top for a large plate of fries from the buffet. 3. Hit up the Alcomy Bar for an afternoon drink and ask for extra peanuts 🥜. Save them for comedy later that night. 👌
Great video next week my wife and I will be on our 53rd Carnival Cruise. The casino offers we receive make it cheaper to be on the ship than to be at home. I looked into the carnival stock a long time ago but back then you could not stack Casino offers with the stock offers. I heard that has changed so we'll have to look into that again. You can go with Cruiseline's 'planner', but honestly, if you're flying to the port & back, you're going to have flights, and a hotel if you go at least the day before if not sooner, are you going to get a rental car? That's all something a travel agent can take care of for you whereas the 'cruise planner' will only take care of 'ship related', for anything else you'll still need a travel agent so just save the time & get the agent that can take care of EVERYTHING. We go with AAA so along with any 'cruise line bonus points, discounts & deals', they can also apply AAA bonus points, discounts & deals on top of it, saving you even more money & yes, they can get you those same things the cruise line planners' can get for you.

Love to eat too. The food on Carnival is really good. We were at the very first Sea Day Brunch aboard the Carnival Dream. It wasn't so good then. It improved since. My late wife used to love the Steak House. They were the last major line to get a steak house. Yes, they have good breakfasts at the Cantina. Sea Days at the BBQ. Also, purchase a Carnival made beer. Did subscribe. Like Carnival and it's assorted brands. Won't sail on Cunard again though.

Fantastic tip on the Wi-Fi and contacting your carrier. I have never heard of that but sounds like a fantastic idea! I have unfortunately never heard anything positive about the ship's Wi-Fi packages especially the premium. Extremely spotty service and very difficult to get a feed. Just from what I've heard the Wi-Fi package is not recommended.

It depends on what time of year. Spring break is definitely more of a party crowd whereas when kids are in school it’s going to be a little bit more family oriented. Carnival in general tends to be pretty good for partying.
You’d pay separately for room-delivered water. Order a bottle of water every time you order alcohol. It’s included with your drink package and you can stock up your room without paying extra.
Yes if you drink a lit of water. You can only get the large bottles of water in the restaurants but you can get the small ones just about anywhere. My husband and I purchased both the drink package and bottles of water for the stateroom on our last 7 day carnival cruise and I ran out of by day 3. I had to constantly go and get more water from the bar area but it was a hassle. If you drink coffee, the drink package is worth it.
I sailed to the Bahamas last August and I didn't have to contact my phone carrier to tell them I was in another country to get the free data. It popped up automatically on my phone.
Sorry to come late to this party, but....Do Not Drink The Ship Water! You can get bottled water as part of the Cheers (alcohol & all) package, or with the Bubbles package (sodas, juice,water). If this is your 2nd or more cruise, you can get a free liter bottle of water as a repeat cruiser. Ask at the bar for this.

@Rochelle Givens Agg, that wasn't very nice. I am guessing you had it in your carry on luggage when you boarded the ship? We will be leaving out of Galveston, TX and we will be getting the drink package but it doesn't kick in until 6:00 am when we are away from Texas. Some law😱 We were going to take our allowable 2 bottles of 🍷 wine on board with us.
you either had it in your checked bag (which isn't allowed), brought too big of a bottle (only up to 750ml allowed) or you had staff who didn't know what they were doing. wine is allowed. one sealed bottle up to 750ml per person over 21yo. if you brought on the proper amount the proper way, then sorry you had that happen, but don't tell people not to take it. maybe advise checking with Carnival before doing it in case there's a change of policy, but as of now, it's the same as it has been for at least 6+ years (my first Carnival cruise where I cruised with 5 other adults and we each brought a bottle of wine on with no issue. I boarded the Breeze since your issue (the 22nd to be exact) and I can guarantee you that there were people that took advantage of the policy and I heard of no issues (charter with a very active social media community, even when we're on board. if they really did stop allowing any alcohol on board, I can pretty much 100% that at least someone would have posted about it with others affected sharing their issue as well.
@@valerie8320 yeah, you're right. I've sailed out of Galveston twice. Cheers doesn't start until 6am the first morning and if you order alcohol from the store to be delivered to your room at the start of the cruise, I don't think that is brought to you until the second day, too. I would say if you're concerned it won't be allowed based on this, call Carnival and verify that there's no policy change. I really don't think there is, though. I think we either aren't getting the whole story or they got someone checking their bag that didn't know what they were doing. as I said in my other reply, I was on the Breeze a few weeks ago, which is out of Galveston. I would be shocked if people got denied bringing bottles of wine in the manner that Carnival states in their policy and they didn't post about it before the first night was over. I'm certain that plenty of people on that cruise carried their allowance on.
Too many points are incomplete, such as buying stock to get OBC. It should have been mentioned that the credit is only given when you are paying full price and not booking under a promocode.
Because of Covid, we decided NOT to go on the Carnival Cruise. We had put a $600 deposit down. Carnival REFUSE to refund our deposit. I hope these pukes go out of business! I now click on EVERY ad I can find so CCL must pay I bet I can cost them 50k a year MORE in advertising.

Cheers doesn't start until 6am the first morning and if you order alcohol from the store to be delivered to your room at the start of the cruise, I don't think that is brought to you until the second day, too. I would say if you're concerned it won't be allowed based on this, call Carnival and verify that there's no policy change. I really don't think there is, though. I think we either aren't getting the whole story or they got someone checking their bag that didn't know what they were doing. as I said in my other reply, I was on the Breeze a few weeks ago, which is out of Galveston. I would be shocked if people got denied bringing bottles of wine in the manner that Carnival states in their policy and they didn't post about it before the first night was over. I'm certain that plenty of people on that cruise carried their allowance on.

Too many points are incomplete, such as buying stock to get OBC. It should have been mentioned that the credit is only given when you are paying full price and not booking under a promocode.

I know how to save on a Carnival cruise. Just don't! Went once and never again. Loyal to Royal and Celebrity.
Because of Covid, we decided NOT to go on the Carnival Cruise. We had put a $600 deposit down. Carnival REFUSE to refund our deposit.
