The thing I was trying to do: I have a bunch of media files I downloaded years ago and I want to seed them, and I was told radarr and sonarr could find torrents to match with my old downloaded media files so I could seed them for other people. Yeah I think you're out of luck there unless you still have the original torrent files to match them. There are some remote applications that can do this but you still need to manually point to where the torrent is for each file so it's kind of pointless. Really I would just search for your files online and see if they exist, try searching for the rarest version of those files. There isn't much the internet has lost in the video and music category unless it's from 80's and earlier non USA/UK television.

Great tutorial! You forgot to add categories to media management. If you don't set the categories, radarr or sonarr won't copy the downloads to their respective folders.

Got me going without issue on my windows box. Grabbed an asustor NAS thinking it wouldn’t be an issue to get all these items installed, configured, and working in tandem. Boy was I wrong. I may just have to handle the downloads and file renames on windows and then ship them over to the NAS for Plex hosting.
There is a windows thing that you can do that allows you to configure network locations as local ones in windows. I'll try and find what it's called for you, but it's arcane wizardry only older folks like me would likely know. Such a thing is easy in Linux, but it did actually originate in Windows first. Search 'Symbolic Links Windows' and it will probably let you do it. I think this is a current gen version of what I used to use.

Well, except for One Piece I left the naming convention alone for the 1,071 episodes I have so far, but man I could have used this much sooner. still thank-you I guess this will make short work of the new anime I'm managing, and anything I might miss along the way, heck I might even be able to get another 100+ anime from my back catalog into my dragons treasure trove

I’m having a problem with the trackers on qb? all the downloads are getting stalled. The trackers are getting back an error saying “permission denied” and on radarr, it’s saying “ download is stalled with no connections” I’m at a total loss and I’m probably not even explaining this well. 😞

If I go to jellyfin on my TV I won't be able to fetch anythign or will I have to open the browser on my TV, navigate to local host for sonnarr and search for a show there then go back to jellyfin and load it? I guess it's useful for shows which come out on a weekly basis you want to automatically download but other than that? If so ,it will probably take me less time to just login to a torrent website and download the show to the jelly fin folder on my PC.

That being said thanks to your video I tried the workflow and: - It's useful if you want to start building your library or want to download a lot of stuff (like multiple seasons) at the same time, it will automate that, for one off torrents its not that useful. - Useful to keep track of things that haven't came out yet as they will be automatically downloaded - I don't personally fully get Prowlarr, I like the seperation of Sonarr and Radarr and find it easier to search for stuff seperately, maybe for indexing its better. Overall, it's a cool workflow though I would say it's just the cherry on top if you have Jellyfin, unless you watch A LOT of stuff with multiple seasons etc or you're building a new library, this takes you from 90% to almost 100%.

I used a combination of the Trash guide for initial setup and dockSTARTer, it helped a ton with getting my pathing correct. Don't forget to set permissions on your media folders so that the ARR stack can communicate with them. Permissions and pathing held me back a long time.

I usually use autodl-rssi to autosnatch any file. But the tracker doesn't have IRC announce channel. They only have API and RSS feed. How can I able to do this same as autodl-rssi? I already integrated the jackett correctly, and setup both Radarr and Sonarr with its download client configured. But, whenever there's a new torrent uploaded as freeleech. It won't download it. i don't understand what's the issue. Idk where to set up the filter to get any movies and I don't want to specify each movie. Any thoughts?

Qbittorrent has changed with their recent update, so the settings no longer match what you are showing. i'm on step 9 and I'm getting authentication failure, any ideas of what went wrong?
Not really familiar with vpns but from what i gather they use a data limit like a mobile data plan, with that in mind wouldn't this use case decimate just about any vpn service? i would love to get this running for my plex server but the whole Vpn thing seems like a losing battle to me with most files being 5+ GB. unless im just not understanding what traffic is actually being sent through the vpn

Some countries may give some headaches when downloading torrents without a VPN, also, it's a nice way to hide your ip from other peers, tbh since I live in Brazil and I'm not worried with the government, I'm not really worried with downloading and setting up a vpn

Seems like you ended this video 5 minutes before you shouldve. After downloading embly and creating the file in Sonar im lost.
Add show/movie in Sonar/Radar , it will auto download. And it will show up in emby.

Doesn’t claim it is. It hides your ip which is what’s needed
Your ISP will see the traffic and can flag that traffic. No one else cares to monitor p2p traffic

Because you are only using the vpn on the qbit torrent app. Use the VPN globally on your machine and you'll be fine.

it turned out Qbit has a default username and password. Also the clipping of the top of the screen is really annoying.
Using nzb and newsgroups are way better and faster
Only problem is that emby is NOT free. They say it is on your browser but it doesn't appear to be and on the XBOX? forget it. What's another option?
Jellyfin would be the alternative to Plex and Emby. I'm unsure of Xbox support.

Some countries may give some headaches when downloading torrents without a VPN, also, it's a nice way to hide your ip from other peers, tbh since I live in Brazil and I'm not worried with the government, I'm not really worried with downloading and setting up a vpn

I’m using Plex and the libraries go to “movies” and “shows” directly, but obviously everything is downloaded in “downloads” how is that managed?
If you have set it up properly, it should be in both downloads and movies/shows folder using hardlinks
