I just wanted to say thank you for making this video! It is the most helpful and detailed one I have seen so far! Anyway you can share the VPN comparison sheet? Interested to see how they all compared in your research! Thanks again! 👍
I arranged my media like yours. But instead of moving a downloaded file to its place (Movies/TV Shows), it's copying it. Now i have a seeding file in downloads and the same file at Movies/TV Shows.
I am having issues with BitTorrent not liking the settings. It does not download and on trackers it says no connection not sure what I am doing wrong I am following guide exactly as you said
This is great! Thanks! If I already have a media library set up, does Sonarr and Radarr recognize my existing directory structure or will it break it? How does this setup react to an existing setup?
Import series you already have Some tips to ensure the import goes smoothly: Make sure that your files include the quality in their filenames. eg. episode.s02e15.bluray.mkv Point Sonarr to the folder containing all of your tv shows, not a specific one. eg. "C:\tv shows" and not "C:\tv shows\the simpsons". Additionally, each series must be in its own folder within the root/library folder. Do not use for importing downloads from your download client, this is only for existing organized libraries, not unsorted files.
Tip: If you plan to use your NAS as a root folder for radarr/sonarr , running them as a service wont let you map them, you need to run the apps in tray mode. :)
I got a question. I backup my own media to my server, including the bonus features and some trailers. Could the software you presented here work with those or would it be better if i separate all my bonus content away from my media?
Does this work well on a Raspberry Pi 4B (8G ram) with an external drive or is it recommended to use a more powerful system? If so, how powerful should it be?
@@SteveByteslet me know how you get on. I’m planning to do this automation on a pi5 hopefully. Don’t know whether to go via docker or just use a light Linux distribution
@muazzamchoudhury3939 I didn't bother with docker installed it all manually and honestly it's has been great. Highly recommend getting it done, Having everything downloaded ready to watch is awesome.
Ive gone through all of this and Radarr works and starts a download in Qbittorent but when I request something in Sonarr it doesn't send any request through to Qbittorent even though everything is setup and I have the check mark in the download clients for it.
Ahhh Its because Sonarr requires an additional step you didn't show since you only showed Radarr. And after you do the search on Sonarr you have to go to the Wanted tab and select everything, which is a step I didn't have to do with Radarr.
Unable to connect to indexer, please check your DNS settings and ensure IPv6 is working or disabled. The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception. This is shown when i try to add indexer Please provide the solution
@@MrMrdhmhtrhs7 I was able to get it to work by downloading FlareSolverr on my seedbox, which automatically configured it to a port. Then I copied that API URL directly, and went into the settings for Prowlarr/Radarr/etc and added a custom indexer proxy linked to a tag (you can make the tag anything you want, I just named mine "Flare"). Then, I pasted that API URL into the port configuration. Now, if I add my custom tag "Flare" to any indexer, it finally lets me add it instead of saying it has been blocked by CloudFlare. Hope it helps.
Once I get my system up and running, can I give Sonarr/Radarr *multiple* queries? Like, feed it a list and just have it parse through the entries one at a time, or do I have to enter them manually one by one? Also, I’ve been really excited to build this around a cloud storage option (I have said cloud server mounted as a local drive and everything; for whatever that’s worth) because I thought it’d be simpler to funnel uploading my files into that directly and not have to worry about bottlenecking. Would this be possible or do I need to be aware of any extra steps?
Awesome tutorial for something ive been trying to find. So with this method i dont have to connect to nordvpn to anonymize my IP but with just normal nordvpn + qbitorrent i would have to connect and set my network interface in qbitorrent?
this video definitely helped me, with only a small problem, with folder structure you setup in video, qBittorrent will keep the downloaded files as seeding in Download folder, Sonnar also keep a copy of downloaded files in TV SHOW folder, is there any way to move the files and qBittorrent will use TV SHOW folder as seeding thanks.
So with those indexers are they the same as trackers? I know there are several exclusive trackers but are hard to get to For me I’m trying to find a way to download movies without necessarily going through them one by one. At the same time I don’t want it to download all movies I don’t care for so like I’d want to filter for genre, quality etc Anyone has any ideas?
hi, the process would be the same, just for the minute changes dealing with linux entails. i.e, installing things etc. the websites are exactly the same.
@TomSparkReviews the permissions also reason I said would be s good video on ubuntu so you can show the file permissions etc and where to save files root or home
anyone getting stuck downloading metadata? I set this up and was able to start downloading 3 files no problem. I thought i had it all set, but then my next download did not want to begin, it was stuck at downloading metadata. I tried downloading other files to test and none of the downloads got passed downloading metadata.. Is there some setting related to the nord vpn that i must change in order to prevent this? any help would be appreciated.. My only solution is to temporarily disable the proxy to start the metadata and then re-enable once it gets it...
this is the best video out there for how to set this up, shows every single step and shows the finished project in action . thanks
