Haha I just kept the good bits 😉. We've not worn the leather Ultras yet but I reckon the Ultras are pretty thin. The Copa Sense feels more dense, a very unique sensation on a leather boot that I've never felt before. Not that bad or good, just... different.
The Sense.1 feels fairly similar to the King Plats actually, in the sense thst due to how the layer under the leather is constructed, they both feel thinner and denser, and not so much of that traditional padded leather touch!
Great video! Glad to see you guys move onto UA-cam, but please keep the written reviews! Good news about the fit, and I’m really curious about the leather and foam elements. What’s your opinion of the sense pads in the heel? Others claim they’re too firm... did you have any issues with the heel fit? you sounded pretty positive in the video...
Thanks so much for you support, Vik! I don't have too much of an issue with the pads around the heel area. Some have complained they should be made with a more premium material (fair enough) but I don't have any issues with them when I put the boot on. In fact, it does contribute to the great fit and lockdown with no discomfort for me. Best fitting boot from the adidas range now.

Thanks! I noticed they’re also offering an AG version with a reinforced lip - is it worth buying given how well you said the FG performs on AG? Do you think the reinforced lip will affect the sizing (if the material is harder maybe I shouldn’t go up 1/2 size...)
Another great question. AG soleplate variants often still do better on AG vs FG to reduce stud pressure and such though my experience with adidas FG has often been decent. If you're sensitive to stud pressure then I'd recommend going with AG or even turf. I believe it's the turf variant which has the reinforced lip. We haven't tried it yet but it shouldn't affect sizing.
Hey Hockey Hunter! Thanks for the support. I think you will fit just as well in the Copa 19/20 as you do in the Copa Sense. Go true to size but expect the Copa Sense to be tight at first around those areas I mentioned. And it'll continue being more snug in the long run vs the older Copa 19/20s. You'll fit but it'll *feel* different.
How do these compare with the Legend 8? It sounds like it's gone in a similar direction - modernizing a leather boot to the point where it almost wouldn't be fair to judge it based on it's status as a leather boot.
They do feel quite different from the Legend 8 though I see your point about the unorthodox approach to leather boots. They're both not really leather boots in how they feel. At least the Legend 8 still has leather skin all round though it's knit underneath. I actually love how the Legend 8 feels as it feels like the PhantomVSN, a tight compressive knit underneath which brings excellent lockdown. It feels like an excellent knitted boot, nowhere like a plush leather boot should be.
@@BOOTHYPE Thanks for the insight! I own the legend 8, and would agree completely. It's immensely comfortable, even if it doesn't feel like a leather boot.
Hmm, really beginning to like these boots, I think a few people have said to size up a 1/2. Sizing is always the big question. Im size 10 and size 10 Phantom GTs and Tiempo Legend are perfect. Wish Adidas was easier to get right. Think i'll buy 10.5 and report back
@@londo0 cool, i'm usually 10.5 for Adidas. Should get them soon so will report back. Sizing is so important, so many reviewers (not Boothype) never mention it. I got bad blisters from the hard bit on top of the heel tab on the 19.1. I found it to be very stiff in that area. Has that part of the heel changed in the Sense.1?
Longtime reader, great to see you on youtube! Any truth to rumours of a weirdly upturned soleplate which makes it hard to get under the ball? Jaymike mentions it in his Unisport review of the + model...
Thank you everyone for the fantastic feedback and we really appreciate all the support! We're facing some technical issues with the GoPro but we're looking to get it fixed and get back to shooting ASAP. 🙏
I believe it's adidas' way to connect with the new generation who great up with synthetics. I don't think this is for the old school die hard leather fans.
I read all boothype website written review. Very detailed ,helpful and honest! Keep it up
Thanks so much for the support, Tao!

Great first video review from your channel and supporting you from Malaysia...
Cheers brother! Great to always hear from our friendly neighbours.
Great to see you here. I´m a big fan of you IG and web page.
Bruh you a baller 👏🏽 Passing and shooting on point all day long! How would the sense measure up against the Puma Leather Ultras? 🤔

Adidas are always the same size, except the old copas. Nike have different sizing.
The Phantom GTs are huge. If you're a 10 in the GTs, then yes, I'd recommend to go with a 10.5 in the Copa Sense.

@@songfishgaming2958 yeah sizing is crucial which is why I try to get my perspective on it, relative to my feet.
Nice. Where was your gopro mounted? Chest?
Oh that's on my head! Which makes it easy to swivel and get a better view in-game.
If I fit a size 9.5 in Adidas X Speedflow .1 should I keep the same size?
I got bad blisters from the hard bit on top of the heel tab on the 19.1. I found it to be very stiff in that area. Has that part of the heel changed in the Sense.1?
Oh? I didn't feel any discomfort with the heel tab in the 19.1. Definitely no sure issues with this Copa Sense either.

Hey Tom, good to see you here! It is slightly upturned like you mentioned but I didn't face much of an issue getting under the ball.
wonder if those pillows on the heel will create blisters like in vapor 4
I haven't had issues with blistering but I've heard some players have issues with the pillows because they're quite plasticky and waxy.

So, doesn't feel like a leather boot. So what's the point of it? There are plenty of synthetic boots for a non leather feel.

None at all. Though we did hear that some people faced this problem.
