One For Dan Presents - Remembering Dan Blackman

Close friends, family and work colleagues recollect on their memories with Dan and reflect on the day they learned about his sudden, unexpected death.

Sunday 23rd June 2019 started as just an ordinary day; it ended up being the most devastating day of our lives.
Dan’s girlfriend Kate kissed him, told him she loved him, then reminded him to do the laundry and left for work. Later that day Dan was found collapsed at home; he had been collecting his wallet and car keys ready to leave the house. There was nothing to be done to save him. Dan was kind, caring, cheeky and fun to be around. He was active, healthy with no prior symptoms - he was rarely ill. Dan died of an undiagnosed heart condition - Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
He was 27 years old.

Kate and Dan's remaining family have now made it their mission to raise awareness of SADS and the CRY charity, who help provide heart screenings across the UK.
